Water compatible silica supported iron trifluoroacetate and trichloroacetate: as prominent and recyclable Lewis acid catalysts for solvent-free green synthesis of hexahydroquinoline-3-carboxamides. Abstract
Silica supported iron trifluoroacetate and iron trichloroacetate green Lewis acid catalysts were developed by a novel, cheap, environment-friendly approach and utilized in the synthesis of hexahydroquinoline-3-carboxamide derivatives. The structure and morphology of the prepared Lewis acid catalysts were studied by FTIR, PXRD, FE-SEM, HR-TEM, EDX, BET, TGA and NH3-TPD techniques. The present catalysts shows maximum conversion efficiency in hexahydroquinoline-3-carboxamide derivatives synthesis at 70 °C in solvent free reaction condition with best product yield in a short reaction time. Both catalysts are reusable and simple to recover, and perform meritoriously in water as well as in a variety of organic solvents. The key advantages of the current synthetic route are permitting of a variety of functional groups, quick reaction time, high product yield, mild reaction condition, recyclability of catalyst and solvent-free green synthesis. This makes it more convenient, economic and environmentally beneficial.

Abstract
In this research, a new magnetic nanocomposite Fe3O4@Saponin/Cu(II) based on quillaja saponin was prepared and the catalyst structure was characterized thoroughly using FT-IR, EDS, TGA, XRD, VSM, HR-TEM, SEM, ICP, BET analyzes. The catalyst prepared in the three-component synthesis of several Betti bases, 1-(α-aminoalkyl)naphthols, under environmentally friendly conditions was used. The advantage of this reaction is the high efficiency of the products and the short reaction time. Furthermore, Fe3O4@Saponin/Cu(II) nano-catalyst is recoverable magnetically and is reusable for other processes with no reduction in its activity.

Abstract
Due to their important roles in medicine and asymmetric metal catalysis, the formation of Betti bases has attracted wide interest in organic chemical community. Traditional multicomponent reaction methods for synthesizing Betti bases normally require long reaction times under harsh conditions (high temperature, microwave or ultrasonic irradiation, etc.) in the presence of various catalysts. In this study, we developed a mild, highly efficient and environmentally friendly method to synthesize Betti bases without the use of any catalysts in microdroplets. The Betti reaction was accelerated by 6.53×103 in microdroplets by comparing the measured rate constant in bulk. Fifteen Betti bases were synthesized by the microdroplet method using a variety of aldehydes, naphthols and amines with 68-98 % yields at a scaled-up amount of 1.9 g h-1 . Overall it is an attractive alternative to classic organic synthesis for the construction of Betti bases and derivatives.

Abstract
In the present study, the Fe3O4@Glycerol-Cu complex supported magnetically as a nanoparticle was prepared by grafting. Firstly, Fe3O4 NPs were synthesized by FeCl3.6H2O and FeCl2.4H2O according to the reported method, and subsequently, the prepared MNP with 3-chloropropyltrimethoxysilane. After that, the support-glycerol was functionalized on the surface of MNP-(CH2)3Cl for graft and stabilization of copper metal. Our purpose is to use the Fe3O4@Glycerol-Cu as a green, recoverable, novel, and affordable nanocatalyst in the effective synthesis of 2-amino-4H-chromenes. FT-IR, XRD, TGA, BET, VSM, TEM, and SEM-EDX techniques were examined to characterize this nanocatalyst. This result demonstrates that copper and organic compounds have appropriately reacted, with the support of MNP-(CH2)3Cl, and the crystalline structure have preserved in the MNP-(CH2)3Cl/Glycerol-Cu nanocatalyst confirmed the formation of the base Cu complex grafted on the surface of the nanoparticles. Finally, as can be seen, the nanoparticle size is 5-15 nm. This heterogeneous nanocatalyst illustrated excellent recyclable behavior, and can be used several times without notable reduction of its activity.

Abstract
1,5-diphenylpent-4-en-1-one derivatives were synthesised using the grindstone method with Cu(II)-tyrosinase used as a catalyst. This method showed a high yield under mild reaction conditions. The synthesised compounds were identified by FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis. In this study, a total of 17 compounds (1a-1q) were synthesised, and their larvicidal and antifeedant activities were evaluated. Compound 1i (1-(5-oxo-1,5-diphenylpent-1-en-3-yl)-3-(3-phenylallylidene)thiourea) was notably more active (LD50: 28.5 µM) against Culex quinquefasciatus than permethrin(54.6 µM) and temephos(37.9 µM), whereas compound 1i at 100 µM caused 0% mortality in Oreochromis mossambicus within 24 h in an antifeedant screening, with ichthyotoxicity determined as the death ratio (%) at 24 h. Compounds 1a, 1e, 1f, 1j, and 1k were found to be highly toxic, whereas 1i was not toxic in antifeedant screening. Compound 1i was found to possess a high larvicidal activity against C. quinquefasciatus and was non-toxic to non-target aquatic species. Molecular docking studies also supported the finding that 1i is a potent larvicide with higher binding energy than the control (- 10.0 vs. - 7.6 kcal/mol) in the 3OGN protein. Lead molecules are important for their larvicidal properties and application as insecticides.

Abstract
The multicomponent reaction between 2-naphthol, arylaldehydes and ammonia yields aminobenzylnaphthols in a process known as the Betti reaction, which was first uncovered at the beginning of the 20th century. Various methods have been reported for the synthesis of aminobenzylnaphthol (Betti base) and bis-Betti base derivatives using various types of naphthols, aromatic amines, heteroaromatic amines, and aliphatic and cyclic amines instead of ammonia or diamines and aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes or dialdehyde compounds under various conditions in recent years. The Betti reaction produces racemic and non-racemic aminobenzylnaphthol ligands. It is also clear that the most important area of application of the non-racemic aminonaphthols prepared in this manner is their use in asymmetric synthesis, either as chiral ligands or as chiral auxiliaries. The functional groups in these Mannich products offer many ring closure possibilities. Some of these products or the starting bifunctional compounds possess biological activity. Herein, we present a selection of the relevant studies on this topic.

Abstract
Synthesis of noble metal nanoparticles (NPs) on modified graphene oxide with biocompatible polymers has attracted significant due to their unique properties and various applications. In this research, covalent-modified graphene oxide (MGO) with diacid terminated poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG) was used as a substrate and stabilizing of Au (ш). The reduction of MGO-Au (ш) complex with hydrazine monohydrate under reflux condition obtained biocompatible reduced MGO (rMGO)-Au NPs. Diacid terminated PEG obtained from the reaction of PEG with succinic anhydride in the presence of N,N- dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC) and 4-methylamino pyridine (DMAP) was attached to GO sheets to prevent from the aggregation of rMGO sheets and Au NPs. The resulting aqueous suspension was characterized through UV-vis, FT-IR, Raman, XRD, DLS-zeta potential, SEM, EDX and TEM. Furthermore, nanocomposite showed good catalytic behavior in Betti reaction- synthesis of 1-(α-aminoalkyl)-2-naphthols. The favorable properties of colloidal nanocomposite were attributed to the stable and well distribution Au NPs on rMGO.
