Abstract
A copper-catalyzed one-pot perfluoroalkylation of alkynyl bromides and terminal alkynes has been disclosed, and the corresponding perfluoroalkylated alkynes could be attained in good to excellent yields. The new straightforward transformation shows high efficiency (0.01-0.5 mol % catalyst loading), broad substrate scope, and remarkable functional group tolerance and provides a facile approach for useful application in life and material sciences.

Abstract
The incorporation of a perfluoroalkyl group (RF) into drug candidates has become an increasingly important strategy in drug molecule design. In this study, the silver-mediated perfluoroalkylation reaction based on the addition-elimination process of terminal alkynes which was initiated by a perfluoroalkyl radical to form a C(sp)-RF bond has been developed. The reaction proceeds under mild conditions using readily available, low-cost perfluoroalkyl iodides as the sources of the RF group. This method allows access to a variety of perfluoroalkylated alkynes.

Abstract
Fluorine chemistry plays an increasingly important role in pharmaceutical, agricultural, and materials industries. The incorporation of fluorine-containing groups into organic molecules can improve their chemical and physical properties, which attracts continuous interest in organic synthesis. Among various reported methods, transition-metal-catalyzed fluorination/fluoroalkylation has emerged as a powerful method for the construction of these compounds. This review attempts to describe the major advances in the transition-metal-catalyzed incorporation of fluorine, trifluoromethyl, difluoromethyl, trifluoromethylthio, and trifluoromethoxy groups reported between 2011 and 2019.

Abstract
A new method has been developed for the Cu-catalyzed C-H trifluoromethylation of 3-arylprop-1-ynes for the selective construction of allenic Csp(2)-CF3 and propargyl Csp(3)-CF3 bonds. The selective formation of allenic Csp(2)-CF3 and propargyl Csp(3)-CF3 bonds can be controlled by modifying the reaction conditions.

Abstract
The preparation, structure, and chemistry of hypervalent iodine compounds are reviewed with emphasis on their synthetic application. Compounds of iodine possess reactivity similar to that of transition metals, but have the advantage of environmental sustainability and efficient utilization of natural resources. These compounds are widely used in organic synthesis as selective oxidants and environmentally friendly reagents. Synthetic uses of hypervalent iodine reagents in halogenation reactions, various oxidations, rearrangements, aminations, C-C bond-forming reactions, and transition metal-catalyzed reactions are summarized and discussed. Recent discovery of hypervalent catalytic systems and recyclable reagents, and the development of new enantioselective reactions using chiral hypervalent iodine compounds represent a particularly important achievement in the field of hypervalent iodine chemistry. One of the goals of this Review is to attract the attention of the scientific community as to the benefits of using hypervalent iodine compounds as an environmentally sustainable alternative to heavy metals.

Abstract
The development of new strategies for synthesis of trifluoromethylthiolate compounds is of considerable importance in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and advanced materials. Accordingly, currently much attention is being devoted to the development of effective methods and reagents for their synthesis. In contrast, considerably less effort has been afforded to the development of preparing CSeCF3 bonds. Herein we report a concise route to synthesize a family of copper(I) trifluoromethylselenolate reagents by the reaction of CuI with the Ruppert's reagent (Me3 SiCF3 ), KF, and elemental selenium in the presence of dinitrogen ligands in CH3 CN at room temperature. The reagent [Cu(bpy)(SeCF3 )]2 was proven to be air-stable and highly efficient for nucleophilic trifluoromethylthselenolation of a broad range of (hetero)aryl halides and alkyl halides. This method represents a powerful protocol for the construction trifluoromethylselenolate compounds.
