Abstract
α-Chloromethylketimines have been obtained through a gold-catalyzed hydroamination of aromatic and aliphatic 1-chloroalkynes with aromatic amines by using equimolar amounts of both reagents. This procedure has allowed the preparation and spectroscopic characterization of α-chloromethylketimines for the first time with a high degree of purity, complete conversion, and atom economy. The synthetic usefulness of the methodology has been demonstrated with the preparation of β-chloroamines and indoles.

Syntheses of 3,3-Disubstituted Dihydrobenzofurans, Indolines, Indolinones and Isochromanes by Palladium-Catalyzed Tandem Reaction Using Pd(PPh3)2Cl2/(±)-BINAP as a Catalytic System. Catalysts 2020. Abstract
A general procedure for the tandem arylation reaction of arylbromide with heteroaryl compounds was developed by using Pd(PPh3)2Cl2/(±)-BINAP (1,1′-Binaphthalene-2,2′-diylbis (diphenylphosphane)) as catalytic system. Both sulphur- and oxygen-containing heterocycles were also employed as an efficient reagent for arylation, which gave moderate to excellent yields with moderate to good regioselectivities (5:1 to > 20:1 ir (isomer ratio)). Except for dihydrobenzofurans, indolines and indolinones, this type of tandem reaction was also expanded to synthesize isochromanes. The synthesized new compounds were well characterized through different spectroscopic techniques, such as 1H and 13C NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance), and mass spectral analysis.

Abstract
Full closure of the nuclear fuel cycle is predicated, in part, on defining efficient separations processes for the effective speciation of the neutron-absorbing lanthanides from the minor actinides post-PUREX. Pursuant to the aforementioned, a class of tridentate, Lewis basic procomplexants have been prepared leveraging a Pd-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling between 6-bromo-[1,2,4]-triazinylpyridine derivatives and various protected indole-boronic acids to afford functionalized 2-[6-(5,6-diphenyl-[1,2,4]triazin-3-yl)-pyridin-2-yl]-1H-indoles. A highly active catalyst/ligand system with low loadings was employed rapidly affording 26 examples in yields as high as 85%. Method optimization, substrate and indole scope, comparative analysis between coupling reagents, and a scale-up experiment are reported.

A novel Pd-catalysed sequential carbonylation/cyclization approach toward bis- N-heterocycles: rationalization by electronic structure calculations. ROYAL SOCIETY OPEN SCIENCE 2018; 5:181140. Abstract
An unprecedented palladium-catalysed sequential aminocarbonylation/cyclization synthetic strategy, using carbon monoxide and structurally different aliphatic diamines as N-nucleophiles, gives access, in one pot, to a new family of indole-based N-heterocyclic derivatives (hydropyrazinones, benzodiazepinones and hydroquinoxalines). Optimization of the reaction conditions towards double carbonylation (P CO = 30 bar, T = 80°C, iodoindole/diamine ratio = 1 : 1.5, toluene as solvent) allowed the target cyclic products, which are formed in situ via intramolecular cyclization of the ketocarboxamide intermediates, to be obtained through a nucleophilic addition/elimination reaction with the pendant terminal amine groups. The structure of the diamine nucleophile was revealed to affect the reaction's selectivity, with the best yields for the cyclic products being obtained in the presence of (1S,2S)-(+)-cyclohexane-1,2-diamine (a) as the nucleophile, using either 5- or 7-iodoindole as the substrate. The reaction's selectivity was rationalized based on electronic structure calculations, which explain the effect of the diamine structure on the predominant formation of the cyclic products.
