Abstract
A simple and atom economic protocol for the construction of C-X/C-C bonds via catalytic aminium radical-cation salt (Magic Blue)-initiated SN2-type nucleophilic ring-opening transformations of racemic and nonracemic aziridines with different hetero and carbon nucleophiles to afford various amino ethers, thioethers, and amines in up to 99% yield, and with perfect enantiospecificity for some substrates but reduced ee with others (for nonracemic aziridines), is developed. This aminium radical-cation salt-initiated, SN2-type nucleophilic ring-opening strategy, along with various cyclization protocols, is employed to synthesize various biologically significant compounds.

Abstract
We have observed that a reagent combination of NaIO4 and NH2OH·HCl reacts with α,β-unsaturated ketones followed by the nucleophile ethylene glycol allowing the synthesis of 2,3-disubstituted 1,4-dioxanes using cesium carbonate as a base under Williamson ether synthesis. This reaction is useful for the synthesis of functionalized 1,4-dioxane having a carbonyl functionality. A variety of 2,3-disubstituted 1,4-dioxanes have been synthesized using these reaction conditions. A probable reaction mechanism has also been proposed.

Abstract
A rapid and effective method has been established for the synthesis of N-acylated α-aminoketone derivatives by the reaction of 3-aryl-2H-azirines and highly substituted 2-Me/Ph-3-aryl-2H-azirines with various carboxylic acids under ambient air within 10 min at room temperature. N-Trifluoroacetylated α-aminoketones with different substituents have been reported in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid. This protocol is equally effective to synthesize N-formylated α-aminoketone and N-hydroxymethylated formamide derivatives.

Abstract
Aziridines are highly versatile intermediates in organic synthesis due to their easy access
and their susceptibility to ring-opening by facile C-N bond cleavage. They are synthetically very important
as they are valuable precursors of amino sugars, β-lactam antibiotics and alkaloids or present
in various natural products that exhibit potent biological activities. The synthesis of this moiety from
the easily available chemicals is desirable due to its tremendous use in the various branches of chemistry.
Here, a short review has been reported on the synthesis of this scaffold employing different strategies
under different greener conditions. Various methods have been developed in the presence of
green catalysts and solvents.
