Abstract
Water contamination is a serious environmental issue posing a significant global challenge. Roxarsone (ROX), a widely used anticoccidial drug is excreted in urine and feces, potentially disrupting natural habitats. Therefore, rapid and cost-effective ROX detection is essential. In this study, we developed a 2D sheet structure of zinc molybdate decorated on MXene (ZnMoO4/MXene) for detecting ROX using electrochemical methods. The materials were characterized using appropriate spectrophotometric and voltammetric techniques. The ZnMoO4/MXene hybrid exhibited excellent electrocatalytic performance due to its rapid electron transfer rate and higher electrical conductivity. The ZnMoO4/MXene-modified GCE (ZnMoO4/MXene/GCE) showed a broad linear range with high sensitivity (10.413 μA μМ-1 cm-2) and appreciable limit of detection (LOD) as low as 0.0081 μM. It also demonstrated significant anti-interference capabilities, excellent storage stability, and remarkable reproducibility. Furthermore, the feasibility of utilizing ZnMoO4/MXene/GCE for monitoring ROX in water samples was confirmed, achieving satisfactory recoveries.

Abstract
Novel ternary composites of polyaniline (PANI), reduced graphene oxide (RGO), and cellulose nanofibers (CNFs) are prepared by a chemical method for hybrid supercapacitors. CNFs were extracted from sugarcane bagasse waste in sugar production, by physicochemical processes. The composites were investigated as electrode-active materials for hybrid supercapacitors. The obtained results revealed that the presence of RGO and CNFs in the composites led to enhanced electrochemical performances, such as capacitance, rate capability, and long-term cyclability of the composite. The optimal composite of CNFs/RGO/PANI with a weight ratio of 4/16/80 can deliver the highest specific capacitance at 566.2 F g-1 under an applied current of 1 A g-1. After 1000 cycles of repetitive charge and discharge, the optimal composite retains 85.4% of its initial capacitance, whereas the PANI electrode obtained only 36.7% under the same conditions. Moreover, the supercapacitive performance is also strongly dependent on the component of the ternary composites. Overall, the composite is a promising material for hybrid supercapacitors; and the CNF component is a renewable material and a product of waste materials.

Abstract
Hybrid nanoparticles (HNPs) with zinc oxide and polymethyl metha acrylate (inorganic/ polymer) were synthesized through the exploitation of ultrasound approach. The synthesized HNPs were further characterized employing transmission electron microscopy and x-ray diffraction. ZnO-PMMA based HNPs exhibit excellent protection properties to mild steel from corrosion when gets exposed to acidic condition. Electrochemical impendence spectroscopy (EIS) analysis was accomplished to evaluate the corrosion inhibition performance of MS panel coated with 2 wt% or 4 wt% of HNPs and its comparison with bare panel and that of loaded with only standard epoxy coating., Tafel plot and Nyquist plot analysis depicted that the corrosion current density (Icorr) decreases from 16.7 A/m2 for bare material to 0.103 A/m2 for 4% coating of HNPs. Applied potential (Ecorr) values shifted from negative to positive side. These results were further supported by qualitative analysis. The images taken over a period of time indicated the increase in lifetime of MS panel from 2 to 3 days for bare panel to 10 days for HNPs coated panel, showing that ZnO-PMMA HNPs have potential application in metal protection from corrosion by forming a passive layer.

Abstract
Ultrasonication is one of the emerging probes for nanoparticles synthesis as well as promoting the material property by treasuring the precious time during a chemical reaction. In this present work, we successfully designed a cloud-like α-ZnMoO4 nanospheres (ZMNS) using ultrasound assistance (bath sonication with the power of 60 W and frequency of 37/80 kHz) hydrothermal method for catalyzing the effective electrochemical determination of anti-androgen drug candidate flutamide (FLT). The crystallinity and phase purity were investigated using powder X-ray diffractometric analysis. The FTIR and Raman spectra information were compared to detect the possible bonding in ZMNS. The texture and surface morphology were studied using Field emission scanning electron microscope and High-resolution Transmission electron microscope images. The presence of the elements (Zn, Mo and O) and the absence of any other impurities were monitored and confirmed using EDAX analysis. The fabrication of ZMNS modified GCE was performed carefully. Additionally, the ZMNS modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) exhibits superior electrocatalytic activity by means of higher cathodic peak current towards the detection of FLT. The fashioned electrode attained two wide linear response ranges (0.1 to 73 µM; 111 to 1026 µM) with a lower detection limit of about 33 nM correspondingly. Furthermore, the fabricated sensor displayed excellent sensitivity of 1.095 µA µM-1 cm-2 and good selectivity for FLT sensing even in the existence of similar interfering compounds and biomolecules. Along with that, the designed sensor executed noticeable reproducibility, repeatability, and enduring stability.

Abstract
This paper reports the characterization of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/cassava starch biocomposites. The cassava starch gel with or without ultrasonic probe treatment was mixed with PVA gel then short bacterial cellulose fibers were added. The presence of the sonicated starch gel in the PVA resulted in low thermal and moisture resistance, and low transparency of the blend film. After adding the fibers thermal and moisture resistance of the sonicated biocomposite increased due to stronger hydrogen bonding between the fibers and the matrix. Tensile strength of sonicated biocomposite with 10 g fibers increased 215% compared to the sonicated blend. However, addition of the fibers to the non-sonicated blend did not significantly increase mechanical and thermal properties or moisture resistance of the biocomposite. Opacity of the non-sonicated biocomposite was lower than that of the sonicated one.

Abstract
In this study, instead of using the usual chemical methods, poly(butyl acrylate)/silicon dioxide (PBA/SiO2) core-shell composite microspheres were prepared using a physical method-ultrasonically initiated encapsulation emulsion polymerization. The morphology and particle size of the PBA/SiO2 microspheres were analysed using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and dynamic light scattering (DLS). The encapsulation state was determined using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The composition and thermogravimetric behavior were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The TEM and DLS results show that monodisperse PBA/SiO2 core-shell composite microspheres were successfully obtained. The diameter and shell thickness were 150 nm and 15 nm, respectively. The XPS and FTIR results show that there was no new chemical bond between the PBA shell and the SiO2 core. They were just combined by physical adsorption. The encapsulation efficiency of SiO2 microspheres by PBA is 8.2% through TGA. In addition, this article focuses on the formation mechanism of PBA/SiO2 core-shell microspheres prepared through ultrasonically initiated encapsulation emulsion polymerization. Intuitive observation and the results of TEM and DLS, especially the change in zeta potential, clearly indicate an encapsulation process. Thereinto, a bilayer-structure space established by appropriate amount of cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) molecules is the key to realize ultrasonically initiated encapsulation emulsion polymerization.

Abstract
This work focuses on the preparation and characterization of nanocomposites poly(glycidylmethacrylate)/organoclay. Effect of the organoclays nature and the preparation method were investigated in order to evaluate their structural, morphological and thermal properties. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), nitrogen sorption at 77 K, scanning and transmission electronic microscopy (SEM, TEM) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were employed to determine the features of the obtained materials. In the first step, the Algerian clay was modified by ultrasonic-assisted method using different concentrations of CTAB or TBAHS in which were used as green nano-filler. A series of nanocomposites were prepared by two different methods. The first deals the in-situ polymerization of GMA within the organoclay galleries and the second pathway involves the use of solution blending of poly(GMA) assisted by ultrasound. The obtained results confirm the intercalation of surfactants within the clay layers, while the nanocomposites obtained by the both methods showed different morphologies and structures in which the exfoliated and intercalated forms were obtained. Both nanocomposites displayed significant enhancement in the thermal stabilities compared to the unmodified poly(GMA). The best results in terms of reaction time, clay dispersion and nanocomposite yield were obtained by the ultrasound method.

Epoxy polymer nanocomposites filled with magnetite (Fe3O4) clay (B), named (B-DPA-PANI@Fe3O4) have been prepared at different filler loading (0.1, 0.5, 1, 3, 5 wt. %). The surface modification of clay by polyaniline (PANI) is achieved in the presence of 4-diphenylamine diazonium salt (DPA). The effects of the nanofiller loading on Tensile, mechanical and dielectric properties were systematically studied. Improved properties was highlighted for all reinforced samples. The addition of only 3 wt. % of the filler enhanced the tensile strength of the composites by 256%, and the glass transition temperature Tg by 37%. The dielectric spectra over a broad frequency showed a robust interface between the hybrid (B-DPA-PANI@Fe3O4) fillers and epoxy matrix. The results showed most significant improvement in corrosion inhibition using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) in 3.5 wt % NaCl, as well as a significant response in oil sensing test. High charge transfer resistance of 110 × 106 Ω.cm2 using 3-wt % of filler was noted compared to 0.35 × 106 Ω.cm2 for the pure epoxy. The results obtained herein will open new routes for the preparation of efficient anticorrosion sensor coatings.

Abstract
In this study, phenol-formaldehyde (PF)/CeO2 nanocomposites (NC)s were prepared by in-situ polymerization of phenol and formaldehyde in alkali solution in the presence of surface modified CeO2 nanoparticles (NP)s by sonochemical assisted synthesis. The morphology and structure of PF/CeO2 NCs were characterized by using fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and thermal analyses methods. It was found that due to the good dispersion of surface modified NPs in polymer matrix and the strong interfacial interaction between the CeO2 NPs and PF matrix, the thermal stability and thermo-mechanical properties of the PF/CeO2 NCs were greatly enhanced. FE-SEM and AFM analyses showed the uniform distribution of CeO2 NPs in PF matrix. The XRD patterns of NCs show the presence of crystalline CeO2 NPs in amorphous matrix. The thermal analysis results reveal that, with increases in the content of CeO2 NPs in PF matrix, the thermally stability factors of samples were drastically enhanced.

Abstract
The present work reports on an efficient and simple one pot synthetic approach for aluminium nanoflakes and nanoparticles based on the intensification using ultrasound and provides a comparison with the conventional approach to establish the cutting edge process benefits. In situ passivation of aluminium particles with oleic acid was used as the method of synthesis in both the conventional and ultrasound assisted approaches. The aluminium nanoflakes prepared using the ultrasound assisted approach were subsequently dispersed in di-octyl adipate (DOA) and it was demonstrated that a stable dispersion of aluminium nanoflakes into di-octyl adipate (DOA) is achieved. The morphology of the synthesized material was established using the transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) and the obtained results confirmed the metal state and nano size range of the obtained aluminium nanoflakes and particles. The stability of the aluminium nanoflakes obtained using ultrasound assisted approach and nanoparticles using conventional approach were characterized using the zeta potential analysis and the obtained values were in the range of -50 to +50mV and -100 to +30mV respectively. The obtained samples from both the approaches were also characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and particle size analysis (PSA) to establish the crystallite size and particle distribution. It was observed that the particle size of the aluminium nanoflakes obtained using ultrasound assisted approach was in the range of 7-11nm whereas the size of aluminium nanoparticles obtained using conventional approach was much higher in the range of 1000-3000nm. Overall it was demonstrated that the aluminium nanoflakes obtained using the ultrasound assisted approach showed excellent morphological characteristics and dispersion stability in DOA showing promise for the high energy applications.

Abstract
This paper aims to study fabrication and characterization of silver/titanium oxide composite nanoparticle through sonochemical process in the presence of ethylene glycol with alkaline solution. By using ultrasonic irradiation of a mixture of silver nitrate, the dispersed TiO2 nanoparticle in ethylene glycol associated with aqueous solution of sodium oxide yields Ag/TiO2 composite nanoparticle with shell/core-type geometry. The powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) of the Ag/TiO2 composites showed additional diffraction peaks corresponding to the face-centered cubic (fcc) structure of silver crystallization phase, apart from the signals from the cores of TiO2. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images of Ag/TiO2 composites, which average particle size is roughly 80 nm, reveal that the titanium oxide coated by Ag nanoparticle with a grain size of about 2-5 nm. Additionally, the formation of silver nanoparticles on TiO2 was monitored by ultraviolet visible light spectrophotometer (UV-Vis). As measured the optical absorption spectra of as-synthesized Ag nanoparticle varying with time, the mechanism of surface formatting silver shell on the cores of TiO2 could be explored by autocatalytic reaction; the conversion of Ag particle from silver ion is 98% for the reaction time of 1000 s; and the activity energy of synthesizing Ag nanoparticles on TiO2 is 40 kJ/mol at temperature ranging from 5 to 25°C. Hopefully, this preliminary investigation could be used for mass production of composite nanoparticles assisted by ultrasonic chemistry in the future.
