Abstract
Characteristic properties of bioactivity that are unique to living systems are accounted for by a single mechanism: long distance communication of structural and conformational information by resonant polarization excitation of the longitudinal optical mode of ions in the aqueous ambient as excited by the internal motions of a template molecule and triggered by transients in electrolyte concentration.
