Abstract
Environmental contamination by organic pollutants has become a pressing concern. In this study, metal-organic framework composites with a core-shell structure of MIL-100 wrapped around ZIF-8 (ZIF-MIL hybrids) were synthesized and characterized for their effectiveness to remove organic pollutants. First, a sequence of routine characterizations will examine the ZIF-MIL series samples' physicochemical properties and morphological characteristics. Then, the adsorption capacities of ZIF-MIL towards organic pollutants, including cationic dyes (methylene blue (MB), and rhodamine B (RHB)), anionic dyes (methyl orange (MO)), neutral pollutants (Sudan III (SD-III), tetracycline (TC) and amoxicillin (AMX)), were investigated. Among the ZIF-MIL series, ZIF-MIL-4 has an excellent specific surface area with high uptake of TC (1288 mg g-1) and RHB (1181 mg g-1). Based on the adsorption data from kinetic and dynamic studies, the adsorption process was closest to the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Freundlich isotherm. In terms of thermodynamic parameter values, the adsorption of TC is an endothermic and spontaneous process, while the adsorption of RHB is an exothermic and spontaneous process. Furthermore, the reusability and selectivity studies of ZIF-MIL-4 towards TC and RHB exhibited significant regeneration ability and high selectivity. The effects of ionic strength and pH on pollutant removal efficiency were also tested. The experimental results showed that the main interactions between ZIF-MIL-4 and RHB or TC were weak coordination, electrostatic, hydrogen bonding, and π-π stacking interactions. Thus, the proposed MOF hybrid, by forming mixtures with other MOFs, can be a potential purifier with improved adsorption capacity and selectivity for organic pollutants as well as self-reusability.

Improving the Performance of a Graphite Foil/Polyaniline Electrode Material by a Thin PEDOT:PSS Layer for Application in Flexible, High Power Supercapacitors. Abstract
In this study, we present a novel strategy for enhancing polyaniline stability and thus obtaining an electrode material with practical application in supercapacitors. A promising (graphite foil/polyaniline/poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) GF/PANI/PEDOT:PSS) electrode material was characterized and used in the construction of a symmetric supercapacitor that provides an outstanding high power density. For this purpose, the electropolymerization of PANI was carried out on a graphite foil and then a thin protective layer of PEDOT:PSS was deposited. The presence of the nanometer PEDOT:PSS layer made it possible to widen the electroactivity potential range of the electrode material. Moreover, the synergy between materials positively affected the amount of accumulated charge, and thus the thin PEDOT:PSS layer contributed to enhancing the specific capacity of the electrode material. The electrochemical performance of the GF/PANI/PEDOT:PSS electrode, as well as the symmetrical supercapacitor, was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge cycles in 1 M H2SO4 at room temperature. The fabricated electrode material shows a high specific capacitance (Csp) of 557.4 Fg-1 and areal capacitance (Careal) of 2600 mF·cm-2 in 1 M H2SO4 at a current density of 200 mA·cm-2 (~4 A·g-1). The supercapacitor performance was studied and the results show that a thin PEDOT:PSS layer enables cycling stability improvement of the device from 54% to 67% after 10,000 cycles, and provides a high specific capacity (159.8 F·g-1) and a maximum specific power (18,043 W·kg-1) for practical applications.

Abstract
The corrosion protective performance of polyaniline/palm oil (PAni-PO) blend coated on mild steel in 3% NaCl aqueous solutions has been evaluated by electrochemical methods, namely, open circuit potential (ocp), potentiodynamic polarization, and EIS spectroscopy. The surface of mild steel was covered by a dark green protective layer due to the physical interaction between the coating and steel. The permanent shifts of ocp and potentiodynamic polarization towards higher positive value of oxidation potential by about 800 mV and by a decrease in corrosion current density by sixfold in magnitude and an increase of 10 orders of magnitude in charge transfer resistance are due to protective coating.

Abstract
Organic coatings based on N-(2-carboxyethyl)pyrrole (PPA) and a butyl ester of PPA (BuOPy) were deposited via electrochemical oxidation. The homo- and copolymers were electropolymerized on glassy carbon and stainless steel in acetonitrile using tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoraborate (Bu4NF4B) as the electrolyte. The mechanism of deposition on stainless steel was studied by chronoamperometry and by the tapping and phase angle imaging modes of atomic force microscopy. The electrochemical properties and growth of the films were investigated by cyclic voltammetry. The composition of the copolymers was determined by reflection-absorption Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. We found that while the hydrophilic monomer PPA undergoes progressive nucleation followed by instantaneous growth the hydrophobic BuOPy nucleates instantaneously. The rate of BuOPy electropolymerization was higher than that of PPA, and the resulting film was thicker yet fluffier. Copolymer films were enriched by BuOPy as compared with the electropolymerization solution, which is attributed to the faster rate of electropolymerization of BuOPy than PPA.
