Abstract
Syntheses and molecular structures of the dimeric tin-platinum complex [LSnPtCl2 (SMe2 )]2 (2), the tin-platinum clusters [{LSnPtCl(SMe2 )}2 SnCl2 )] (3) and [(LSn)3 (PtCl2 )(PtClSnCl)(LSnOHCl)] (6) (L=MeN(CH2 CMe2 O- )2 ), and of the unprecedented tin(II) aminoalkoxide-tin oxide chloride complex [O(SnCl)2 ⋅(SnL)2 ] (5) are reported. The compounds were characterized by NMR spectroscopy (1 H, 13 C, 119 Sn, 195 Pt), 119 Sn Mössbauer spectroscopy (1-3, 6), electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, elemental analyses, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses (2⋅CH2 Cl2 , 3⋅2 C4 H8 O, 5, 6⋅3CH2 Cl2 ). The tin(II) aminoalkoxide [MeN(CH2 CMe2 O)2 Sn]2 (1) behaves like a neutral ligand, inserts into a Pt-Cl bond, or is involved in rearrangement reactions with the different behavior occurring even within one compound (3, 6). DFT calculations show that the tin-platinum compounds behave like electronic chameleons.

Abstract
The reactivity and complexation properties of dicoordinated Sn(II) and Sn(0) compounds are reviewed. The (dominant) electrophilicity of the stannylenes was confirmed and quantified through density functional theory (DFT) based reactivity indices. For these compounds, combining theoretical DFT calculations and experimental nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopic results has evidenced their potential to undergo π-complexation from aromatic π clouds in addition to significantly stronger σ-complexation. Moreover, their potential as Lewis bases was scrutinized in their interactions and reactions with iron and tungsten carbonyl Lewis acids. Finally, a prospective comparison of the reactivity of divalent stannylenes and stannylones, with a 0 oxidation state at the Sn atom, is presented.

Abstract
In the title 2:1 adduct, [Sn(2)W(2)(C(10)H(13)NO(2))(2)(CO)(10)](2)[W(CO)(6)], the complete hexa-carbonyl-tungsten mol-ecule is generated by a crystallographic inversion centre. The heterometallic mol-ecule features a central Sn(2)O(2) core with essentially equal Sn-O(eth-oxy) bond lengths. The second eth-oxy O and amine N atoms of each N,O,O'-tridentate ligand coordinate to one Sn atom only. The NO(3) donor atoms occupy basal positions and the W atom the apical position in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry for each Sn atom. The W atoms are approximately syn to each other but the central metal core is non-planar [W-Sn⋯Sn-W pseudo-torsion angle = 43.573 (16)°]. One of the carbonyl ligands in the heterometallic mol-ecule is disordered over two orientations with equal occupancies. In the crystal, the heterometallic mol-ecules associate via C-H⋯O inter-actions, forming supra-molecular layers with undulating topology in the ab plane. These stack along the c axis, defining voids which are occupied by the W(CO)(6) mol-ecules.
