Abstract
A 36-year-old male with right scrotal induration visited a local physician and ultrasonography showed a mass in the right testicle. He was referred to our hospital, where an additional ultrasonography examination revealed a 1×1-cm mass with clear borders, a heterogeneous interior, slight hyperintensity, and abundant blood flow in the upper part of the right testis. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography results indicated a massive lesion with an uneven contrast effect in the right testis and no evidence of metastasis, while magnetic resonance imaging showed the tumor with bleeding and internal heterogeneity. All tumor markers were negative. Under a diagnosis of primary germ cell tumor of the testis without metastasis, a high orchiectomy was performed. The pathological diagnosis was sertoli cell tumor. Histopathologically, the tumor was benign and no additional treatment was performed. Three years after the operation, the patient was well and without complications.

Abstract
We present the case of a 31-year-old single male patient, who was admitted through
emergency unit with painless hard nodule of his left testis of 6 months’ duration.
Ultrasound scan of the scrotum showed a fairly well-defined hypo echoic area in the left
testicular parenchyma in its middle part, measuring approximately 10 × 9 mm in size. We
performed left inguinal radical orchidectomy. Histopathology examination of the left
testis revealed sclerosing Sertoli cell tumor (SSCT) of the testis. This is a very rare
testicular tumor with very few published case reports. Systemic examination was performed
to exclude systemic metastasis. SSCT is characterized by the presence and aggregates of
tubules of Sertoli cells, separated by a sclerotic intercellular matrix formed by fibrotic
connective tissue.

Abstract
Sertoli cell tumors of the testis are extremely rare (0.4-1.5% of all testicular neoplasms) and have a heterogeneous pathology. Histopathologically classic, large cell calcifying and sclerosing subtypes are differentiated.Up to now, 14 cases of sclerosing Sertoli cell tumor are known. This article presents a new case and compares the three subtypes. The subtypes differ in particular in age of onset, malignant potential, prognosis, and therapy. While no cases of sclerosing Sertoli cell tumor with a malignant course have been reported, both other subtypes have been found to be potentially malignant. In the case of malignancy the prognosis is very poor, and it is difficult to select the best treatment because there is so little experience with this type of tumor. Once the diagnosis of a Sertoli cell tumor has been confirmed, exact determination of the histological subtype is essential to allow appropriate risk-adapted therapy. The various histological subtypes are presented with the clinical features, prognosis and treatment of each.

Abstract
The spectrum of Sertoli cell tumors in children covers a wide range of testis and ovarian tumors classified as sex cord-stromal tumors. Sertoli cell tumor of the testis is extremely rare in the pediatric population. The American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Urology Prepubertal Testicular Tumor Registry has reported a total of six cases of Sertoli cell tumor of the testis, accounting for 1.3% of the 430 cases reported to the registry as of October 1996. Despite their rarity, Sertoli cell variants of sex cord-stromal tumors have generated keen interest because of their variable histologic appearance and biologic behavior, including endocrine activity. Because sex cord-stromal tumors occur in the ovary and testis, a primitive cellular origin to these tumors is likely in males and females.

Abstract
Sertoli cell tumour of the testis is a rare tumour currently classified in three types: general, with large calcifying cells and sclerosing. These three forms differ for their potential malignancy and association with extragonadal involvement. We report on our experience with 2 cases. The first was a calcifying Sertoli large cell tumour of the testis with an unusual ultrasound finding. The second was a combination of the general and the sclerosing form. Whenever the histology examination shows no malignant features, we suggest local excision as the gold standard therapy, as it allows the testicular parenchyma to be preserved. An accurate follow-up is obviously mandatory.
