Abstract
Various functionalised 4-amino-2-(methylthio)quinolines are synthesised through triflic acid-mediated N-heteroannulation of α-functionalized-β-anilino-β-(methylthio)acrylonitriles for the first time. The N-heteroannulation process is highly chemoselective and has mild reaction conditions. However, this process fails in the absence of the β-methylthio group in the acrylonitriles. In addition, a new double N-heteroannulation process is demonstrated to synthesise indolo[3,2-c]quinolines from non-heterocyclic precursors. Natural product isocryptolepine is synthesised in four steps from an acyclic precursor.

Abstract
Thermic dimerization of methyl 1,3-cyclohexadiene 2-carboxylate gave original 3D-shape compounds by Diels-Alder cycloaddition and original [6 + 4]-ene reaction. Further selective modifications on an endo [4 + 2] cycloadduct via a diversity oriented synthesis (DOS) strategy quickly led to the preparation of a small library of original 3D scaffolds, providing access to a larger and unexplored chemical space for drug discovery processes.

Abstract
Medicinal chemistry has been benefited by combinatorial chemistry and high-throughput parallel synthesis. Ionic liquids reduce the materials and energy intensity of chemical processes and products, minimize or eliminate the dispersion of harmful chemicals in the environment, maximize the use of renewable resources and extend the durability and recyclability of products. It is possible to tune the physical and chemical properties by varying the nature of the cations and anions. Ionic liquids can be easily recovered, cleaned up, and reused repeatedly.

Abstract
The propargyl alcohol on reaction with aldoxime and NaOCl in DCM gave exclusively (3-arylisoxazol-5-yl) methanol 1. The compound 1 was oxidized to an aldehyde 2 followed by reaction with aniline resulted in Schiff's base 3. The compounds 3 were further reacted with various aldehydes having α-hydrogen using molecular iodine as catalyst and which yielded 5-(3-alkylquinolin-2-yl)-3-aryl isoxazole derivatives 4. All the final compounds 4 were screened against four human cancer cell lines (A549, COLO 205, MDA-MB 231 and PC-3) and among these compounds 4n showed potent cytotoxicity against all the cell lines at IC50 values of <12 μM.

Abstract
A simple method for preparation of fluoroalkyl beta-enaminophosphonates 1 from alkylphosphonates 2 and perfluoroalkyl nitriles 3 is reported. Olefination reaction of functionalized phosphates 1 with aldehydes gives alpha,beta-unsaturated imines 5. Acid hydrolysis of these fluoroalkyl derivatives 5 affords alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones 6, while their selective reduction with hydrides leads to the formation of allylamines 7, enamines 8, and saturated ketones 9 or amines 10. Selective oxidative cleavage of the carbon-carbon double bond of allylamines 7 gives fluorinated alpha-amino aldehydes 12, alpha-amino ketones 13, or alpha-amino acid derivatives 14.

Abstract
[reaction: see text] A simple method for the preparation of fluoroalkyl allylamines or alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones by an olefination reaction of primary enamine phosphonates and aldehydes, followed by selective reduction with hydrides or hydrolysis, is reported. Fluorinated beta-amino nitriles are also obtained by an olefination reaction of primary enamine phosphonates with aldehydes and subsequent addition of metalated acetonitrile.
