Abstract
Aziridination reactions represent a powerful tool in aziridine synthesis. Significant progress has been achieved in this field in the last decades, whereas highly functionalized aziridines including 3-arylated aziridine-2-carbonyl compounds play an important role in both medical and synthetic chemistry. For the reasons listed, in the current review we have focused on the ways to obtain 3-arylated aziridines and on the recent advances (mainly since the year 2000) in the methodology of the synthesis of these compounds via aziridination.

Abstract
Historically, medicinal chemistry has been concerned with the approach of organic
chemistry for new drug synthesis. Considering the fruitful collections of new molecular entities,
the dedicated efforts for medicinal chemistry are rewarding. Planning and search for new
and applicable pharmacologic therapies involve the altruistic nature of the scientists. Since
the 19th century, notoriously applying isolated and characterized plant-derived compounds in
modern drug discovery and various stages of clinical development highlight its viability and
significance. Natural products influence a broad range of biological processes, covering transcription,
translation, and post-translational modification, being effective modulators of most
basic cellular processes. The research of new chemical entities through “click chemistry”
continuously opens up a map for the remarkable exploration of chemical space towards leading
natural products optimization by structure-activity relationship. Finally, in this review, we expect to gather a
broad knowledge involving triazolic natural product derivatives, synthetic routes, structures, and their biological activities.

Abstract
Abstract
A series of 1,2,3-triazole-containing tomentosin scaffolds was obtained from tomentosin 1. The synthesis involved a Michael addition of trimethylsilylazide on the α-methylene-γ-lactone function of the natural sesquiterpene lactone 1 to give the diastereoisomers 2 and 3, which were readily separated by column chromatography. These compounds underwent copper-catalyzed Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition with various terminal alkynes to provide compounds 4a–h and 5a–h in good yields.

Abstract
A direct catalytic synthesis of substituted α-benzyloxyamino-γ-butyrolactones is reported, starting from simple oxime acids and alkenes. The substituted O-benzyloxime acid starting materials are cyclized with oxidizable alkenes, via Polar Radical Crossover Cycloaddition (PRCC) reactions. The catalytic reaction is carried out using the Fukuzumi acridinium photooxidant and substoichiometric amounts of a redox-active cocatalyst. The utility of this method has been demonstrated through the use of 3 oxime acids and 19 oxidizable olefins.

Abstract
An efficient nickel(0)-catalyzed highly regio- and stereoselective hydrocarboxylation of homopropargylic alcohols with ZnEt(2) in the presence of CO(2) (1 atm, balloon) to synthesize α-alkylidene-γ-butyrolactones is described. The catalyst is highly active and can be applied for the synthesis of (optically active) mono- or bicyclic α-alkylidene-γ-butyrolactones with excellent regio- and stereoselectivity and good functional group tolerance. The potential of the reaction has been demonstrated in the first synthesis of (±)-heteroplexisolide E.
