Abstract
Generalised eruptive histiocytosis is a rare proliferative disease that typically presents with indolent cutaneous eruptions. We describe the case of a 73-year-old man presenting with diffuse, asymptomatic crops of pink to dusky red papules preceded by general malaise, myalgias, fluctuating fever, chills, and weight loss. Histological evaluation revealed a non-Langerhans cell histiocytic dermal infiltrate with spindle cell features and chronic inflammation, reactive for CD68 and negative for both S100 and CD1a. Malignancy screening was negative. This report aims to highlight a unique presentation of generalised eruptive histiocytosis, emphasise histological findings, and discuss considerations for malignancy screening.

Abstract
Chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) is a clonal hematopoietic stem cell malignancy with features of both a myeloproliferative neoplasm and a myelodysplastic syndrome. We present a case of 72-year-old man with CMML who presented with generalized hemorrhagic papules and plaques which on histopathology showed a peculiar infiltrate of atypical mature histiocytes. The immunohistochemical markers for Langerhans cells, indeterminate dendritic cells, and plasmacytoid dendritic cells were negative. Next generation sequencing performed on the paraffin block of the leg biopsy specimen revealed identical ASXL1, SRSF2, and KRAS mutations as seen in the CMML clone of the peripheral blood. Along with recent literature, this case illustrates the spectrum of histiocytic and dendritic cell proliferations in CMML, many of which may be clonally related to the hematopoietic malignancy.

Abstract
Reticulohistiocytoses (RH) are rare and clinically heterogeneous histiocytic disorders of dermatological interest. Three clinical entities with superimposable histopathological features are currently considered, namely solitary reticulohistiocytoma, diffuse/generalized reticulohistiocytosis and multicentric reticulohistiocytosis. Although in the last decade, RH studies have only minimally progressed, histiocytosis research has advanced considerably: the prognostic and therapeutic importance of the clinical subclassification of histiocytosis patients as well as of the detection of genetic alterations in the genes of the ERK pathway has been highlighted. According to these insights, we previously reported the presence of molecular alteration RH and described a subset of patients with disseminated multisystem involvement lacking arthritis. In the present review, we aim to update and revise the knowledge regarding RH. We first reviewed their histopathological, immunophenotypical and ultrastructural features, discussed their histopathological differential diagnosis with other conditions characterized by infiltrates made of oncocytic or epithelioid cells (with special regard to Destombes-Rosai-Dorfman disease) and finally summarized the molecular landscape of RH. We therefore tried to adjust the clinical subclassification of Langerhans cell histiocytosis to the clinical phenotypes of RH, outlining five clinically different groups of patients. Finally, we reconsidered the clinical workflow to the evaluation of RH patients, in light of the 5 different clinical groups and discussed the different therapeutic approaches and the possible role of target inhibitors.

Abstract
The case of generalized eruptive histiocytoma (GEH) in woman of 49 years old is reported. GEH is a rare disease relating to non-langerhans cell histiocytoses which are based on a benign reactive proliferation of histiocytes with immunophenotype inconsistent with Langerhans cells. As a result of treatment with methotrexate and betamethasone the improvement in skin condition was achieved.

Abstract
We are reporting a 62 year old male, who over a period of 1 year, developed a symmetric eruption of hundreds of brownish papules, with spontaneous regression of some lesions. The clinical and histopathological findings were compatible with the diagnosis of generalized eruptive histiocytoma.

Abstract
Background: Generalized eruptive histiocytoma (GEH) is a rare, benign non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis characterized by widespread and symmetric skin-colored to blue-red papules on the trunk and proximal extremities affecting mainly adults. GEH is associated with a self-limiting course lasting from 1 month to over 12 years, and the lesions typically resolve spontaneously; therefore, reports of potential therapies for GEH are lacking. Objective: We report for the first time the use of isotretinoin in the treatment of GEH. An otherwise healthy 53-year-old female with a 3-month history of GEH had resolution of lesions without further development of new lesions over 8 months of treatment with isotretinoin, although, eventually, lesions began to recur. Conclusion: Although there has been success with isotretinoin in the management of Rosai-Dorfman disease and Langerhans cell histiocytosis, further investigation is needed to delineate the exact mechanism of action and future role of isotretinoin in the management of GEH.

Abstract
Generalized eruptive histiocytosis (GEH) is a rare generalized non-X histiocytosis, first described in 1963 by Winklemann and Muller. Since then more than 20 patients with GEH, mainly adults but also a few children, have been reported. We report a case of GEH in a middle-aged woman with spontaneous regression, in which the ultrastructural findings of apoptosis were observed.

Abstract
Generalized eruptive histiocytoma (GEH) is a rare benign skin disease mainly affecting adults which belongs to the family of non-Langerhans-cell histiocytoses. A 32-year-old Caucasian woman developed disseminated, monomorphic papules of the trunk after a common cold with sinusitis. Mucous membranes, palms and soles were spared. She also suffered from arthralgia without fever or night sweats. After one month, the patient noticed progression of the reddish papules involving the trunk, extremities and face. Clinical as well as histological examination and immunohistochemistry led to the diagnosis of GEH. The clinical examination and laboratory testing were normal, except for eosinophilia in the peripheral blood and bone marrow. No neoplastic diseases were found during thorough examinations. Systemic PUVA therapy produced rapid regression of the skin lesions. After 10 treatments the lesions began to regress leaving slight papules and multiple brown hyperpigmentations. The lesions resolved completely after 20 PUVA treatments. No relapses occurred. Systemic PUVA therapy represents a promising option for the treatment of GEH.

Abstract
We present the case of a 64-year-old male who developed multiple asymptomatic papules over a four-month period, distributed symmetrically on the trunk and proximal regions of the limbs, while the scalp, palms, soles and mucous membranes were spared. The lesions were discrete papules, brownish-erythematous, rounded, ranging from slightly raised to hemispherical, from 1 to 3 mm in diameter and firm to the touch. Clinical, histopathological, immunohistochemical and ultrastructural studies were consistent with generalized eruptive histiocytoma. Laboratory tests and radiological studies did not show any abnormal findings. After being subjected to photochemotherapy, the lesions regressed, but later on new outbreaks of papules appeared. Generalized eruptive histiocytoma belongs to a spectrum of diseases that may overlap; some may even develop into others. As the disease may progress into a more serious ailment, regular checkups with clinical, histological and immunohistochemical examinations should definitely be considered.
