Abstract
BACKGROUND Sweet syndrome (SS) is a rare dermatological adverse reaction caused by granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF), but the characteristics of G-CSF-induced SS are unclear. This study aims to elucidate the characteristics of G-CSF-induced SS and offer guidance for its prevention and management. METHODS We collected relevant case reports of G-CSF-induced SS by searching pertinent databases until June 30, 2024, and synthesized the data for retrospective analysis. RESULTS A total of fifty patients were analyzed, with a median age of 44 years (1.7-77). The onset of SS occurred between 2 and 90 days post-administration, with a median onset time of 7 days. The predominant cutaneous manifestations included papules/plaques (74.0%), nodules (32.0%), and vesicles/bullae (24.0%). Fever presented in 74.0% of cases, while extra-cutaneous symptoms appeared in 32% of patients. Skin biopsy revealed key findings such as dermal diffuse neutrophil infiltration (97.8%), leukocytoclasis (19.1%), and dermal papillary edema (27.7%). Following both the cessation of G-CSF and systemic corticosteroids treatment, patients showed symptomatic improvement at a median interval of 7 days (2-70). CONCLUSION Clinicians should remain vigilant for the risk of SS during G-CSF administration. Skin biopsy plays a crucial role in confirming SS diagnosis. G-CSF-induced SS exhibits a favorable response to corticosteroids, and re-administration of G-CSF should be avoided due to the risk of symptom recurrence.

Abstract
Necrotizing soft tissue infection (NSTI) is a feared and potentially morbid postoperative complication requiring prompt surgical intervention. Cutaneous conditions that mimic NSTI have been reported and rarely occur in the postoperative period. Sweet syndrome, also known as acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis, is a dermatologic condition characterized by fever, neutrophil-predominant leukocytosis, and painful skin lesions. Necrotizing Sweet syndrome (NSS) is an aggressive variant that causes a clinical appearance of localized skin necrosis and histologic evidence of necrotic foci extending to the deep aspects of the soft tissues and involving fascia and/or skeletal muscle. Necrotizing Sweet syndrome can be easily mistaken for NSTI. Contrary to infection, Sweet syndrome and NSS are worsened by surgical intervention due to the phenomenon of pathergy and readily respond to corticosteroid treatment. We present the case of a 54-year-old woman who developed NSS following an uncomplicated fasciectomy for Dupuytren disease.

Abstract
A male in his 70s, with a recent history of aortic valve replacement, mitral valve repair, and permanent pacemaker implantation (PPM), developed a fever, raised inflammatory markers, and a disseminated rash. Despite being attributed a diagnosis of an unspecified connective tissue disorder and erythema nodosum at his local hospital, his symptoms continued to deteriorate. A subsequent urgent admission was arranged to his original cardiothoracic centre for the exclusion of infective endocarditis (IE). Although this was subsequently ruled out by echocardiography and microbiological evaluation, a diagnosis of Sweet syndrome (SS) was made following a punch biopsy of a skin lesion. This was later attributed to myelodysplastic syndrome following a bone marrow biopsy. In this report, we firstly describe our diagnostic algorithm for reaching this diagnosis and the characteristic skin lesions associated with this condition. We furthermore review the history of SS, its known associations, and treatment options.

Abstract
Sweet's syndrome (SS) is a relatively rare dermatological condition typically presenting with erythematous tender plaques, papules, nodules, or pustules accompanied by fever, asymmetric polyarthralgia, and other systemic features. Elevated inflammatory markers and white blood cell counts are also commonly seen in SS. Dense neutrophilic infiltration in the dermis is a cardinal feature of SS. A 52-year-old woman presented with a five-month-long history of fever, easy fatigability, multiple painful skin lesions over her scalp, face, trunk, and limbs, and a history of multiple joint pain for three months. Examination revealed tender, erythematous papules, plaques, and nodules which spread from her scalp to involve almost the entire body. Hematological workup unmasked an overlap between anemia of chronic disease and autoimmune hemolytic anemia. Her inflammatory markers and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) were also elevated. The anti-nuclear antibody (ANA) test revealed 1:100 titers but the ANA profile failed to point toward a concrete rheumatological cause. After ruling out more common causes of fever with rash, a skin biopsy helped us to diagnose SS conclusively. A diagnosis of SS necessitated a hunt for the cause. Ultrasonography of the abdomen alarmed us to a suspicious cervical mass which was confirmed as a FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) grade IIb neoplasia by an MRI of the pelvis. Histopathological examination established a diagnosis of moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. SS was successfully treated with colchicine. Our case is unique in the sense that SS was the first feature of a newly diagnosed case of cervical cancer which is already an exceptionally rare cause of SS. There ought to be a greater awareness regarding both SS and its association with malignancy. It's pertinent that we look out for cancer when more common causes of SS do not fit the clinical picture.

Abstract
Sweet syndrome is an uncommon inflammatory disorder characterized by the abrupt appearance of painful, erythematous papules, plaques, or nodules on the skin. Fever and leukocytosis frequently accompany the cutaneous lesions. In addition, involvement of the eyes, musculoskeletal system, and internal organs may occur. Sweet syndrome has been associated with a broad range of disorders. There are three subtypes: classical Sweet syndrome, malignancy-associated Sweet syndrome, and drug-induced Sweet syndrome. Classical Sweet syndrome is not associated with malignancy or drugs. It is essentially associated with an upper respiratory infection, gastrointestinal infection, inflammatory bowel disease, and pregnancy. Malignancy-associated Sweet syndrome is associated with hematologic malignancy more than solid malignancy, most commonly with acute myeloid leukemia. Drug-induced Sweet syndrome usually develops approximately two weeks after drug exposure, in patients who lack a prior history of exposure to the inciting drug. Here we are discussing our patient, a 68-year-old male who presented eight weeks after starting chemotherapy with pemetrexed, carboplatin, and pembrolizumab for left lung adenocarcinoma with macular rash. On further investigation with biopsy was found to have neutrophilic dermatitis, hence being diagnosed with drug-induced Sweet syndrome. Histopathology revealed a dermis with infiltration of neutrophils with lekocytoclasia.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Neutrophilic dermatoses (NDs) often occur secondary to inflammatory conditions, medication exposure, and hematologic malignancy. While malignancy-associated NDs (MA-NDs) have been well reported among those with hematologic cancers, little is known about drug-induced NDs (DI-NDs) within this population. The objective of this study was to compare the presentations and outcomes of patients with hematologic malignancies who developed MA-NDs and DI-NDs. METHODS Cases of ND occurring between 2013 and 2023 among those with hematologic malignancies were identified from the electronic medical records of our institution. Patient characteristics, recent medication exposures, cancer mutations, and disease outcomes were reviewed. Patients were categorized with DI-ND if they were recently exposed to one of four medications known to be commonly associated with ND or were otherwise categorized with MA-ND. We report a descriptive analysis of cases of DI-ND and MA-ND. RESULTS We identified 52 patients with ND and co-occurring hematologic malignancy including 16 cases of DI-ND (30.8%) and 36 cases of MA-ND (69.2%). The most common ND in both groups was Sweet's syndrome. Chronic underlying conditions including solid tumors, inflammatory disorders, chronic viral infection, and tobacco use were more common among those with MA-ND. Among those with DI-ND, tyrosine kinase inhibitors were the most commonly associated drugs (43.8%). The most common cancer mutation among those with DI-ND was FLT3 (43.8%), while the most common mutation among those with MA-ND was TP-53 (19.4%). Among those who had died at the time of data collection, 90.0% of those with DI-ND and 66.7% of those with MA-ND died within 1 year of ND diagnosis. CONCLUSION Most cases of ND occurring with hematologic malignancies develop secondary to cancer rather than drug exposure. Different cancer mutations may predispose to DI-ND and MA-ND. Further research is needed to establish diagnostic criteria for DI-ND and to determine the pathogenic role of specific cancer mutations, particularly FLT3, in the development of ND.

Abstract
Cutaneous manifestations of hematologic malignancy represent both a clinical challenge for the treating physician and a pathophysiological model for advancing the knowledge on individual neoplasms. Indeed, a growing body of evidence supports the concept of recurrent molecular defects associating with specific clinical features, as best exemplified by VEXAS. Herein neutrophilic and eosinophilic dermatoses of potential interest for both hematologists and dermatologists will be reviewed, including subcorneal pustular dermatosis-type IgA pemphigus, neutrophilic eccrine hidradenitis, Sweet's syndrome as well as myelodysplasia cutis and VEXAS, pyoderma gangrenosum, eosinophilic annular erythema, eosinophilic dermatosis of hematological malignancy, Wells syndrome and cutaneous involvement in hypereosinophilic syndromes. Possible management approaches are discussed for each, emphasizing scenarios that require treatment of the underlying condition to achieve remission at the skin level.

Abstract
Sweet syndrome is a neutrophilic dermatosis associated with multiple disorders. This retrospective case-series study of patients with Sweet syndrome in a tertiary hospital in Spain from 2001 to 2021, explores clinicopathological characteristics of Sweet syndrome and variables associated with malignancy, presence of autoinflammatory disorders and differences between histological subtypes. A total of 93 patients were identified: 30% idiopathic, 34% malignancy-associated, 29% reactive to infections or drug-associated, and 6% with an autoimmune/inflammatory condition. Acute myeloid leukaemia was the most common malignancy (16/93) followed by myelodysplastic syndrome (7/93). Patients with acute myeloid leukaemia presented isolated flares, marked cytopaenia and rapid response to treatment, whereas myelodysplastic syndrome followed a chronic-recurrent course. The most frequent associated medications and inflammatory disorders were filgrastim and hydroxyurea (n = 2); and inflammatory bowel disease (n = 4). In addition, 3 patients were diagnosed with VEXAS syndrome. Male sex (p = 0.006), fever (p = 0.034), increased erythrocyte sedimentation rate (p < 0.001), anaemia (p < 0.001), and thrombocytopaenia (p < 0.001) were associated with malignancy. Histologically, patients were classified as classic (60%), histiocytoid (22.5%) or subcutaneous (15%), with pain (p = 0.011) and nodules (p < 0.001) being associated with subcutaneous-Sweet syndrome. Sweet syndrome in the context of cytopaenia should alert the presence of malignancy. An acquired autoinflammatory condition should be explored in relapsing Sweet syndrome with myelodysplastic syndrome. A minimum follow-up of 6 months is recommended.

Abstract
Sweet syndrome (SS) is a rare inflammatory disorder characterized by the rapid onset of a characteristically tender rash, fever, and other systemic symptoms. These manifestations are often mistaken for an infection that is not responding to antimicrobials, especially in immunocompromised hosts. We present the case of a 44-year-old woman who developed SS following induction chemotherapy for newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML). She exhibited a painful rash on the anterior chest, which spread centrifugally, along with neutropenic fever unresponsive to broad-spectrum antimicrobials. Biopsy of the rash revealed a dense neutrophilic infiltrate within the dermis, confirming the diagnosis of SS. The patient was subsequently treated with systemic steroids with prompt resolution of fevers and improvement of her rash. This case highlights that SS can manifest with a robust neutrophilic infiltrate, even in the context of neutropenia stemming from chemotherapy. SS serves as a crucial consideration in hematologic malignancies, particularly AML, when patients present with fever and cutaneous eruptions. Prompt recognition followed by systemic steroid therapy often leads to symptom resolution.

Abstract
This Athena case describes a young man with sudden-onset eruption of localized plaques on the right neck in the setting of treatments for recently diagnosed acute myeloid leukaemia.

Abstract
Sweet's syndrome (acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis) is an uncommon inflammatory condition most often associated with painful skin lesions of the head, neck, and upper extremities. To the authors' knowledge, this case report is the only published record of the necrotizing clinical variant of Sweet's syndrome in the periorbital space. This case follows a 91-year-old female who presented with generalized cutaneous eruptions of tender erythematous plaques, including a necrotic plaque of the left upper eyelid, and pancytopenia. A biopsy of an inner thigh lesion was consistent with Sweet's syndrome. Initially diagnosed with preseptal cellulitis, the patient experienced marked clinical improvement with corticosteroids. This, coupled with the histopathologic findings of her thigh biopsy and the absence of eyelid margins, led to the diagnosis of periorbital necrotizing Sweet's syndrome. Although cases of Sweet's syndrome in the periorbital region are rare, these diagnoses should not be overlooked and may be critical to patient care.

Abstract
Sweet syndrome is a rare complication of azathioprine treatment with unelucidated clinical features. The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical characteristics of azathioprine-induced Sweet syndrome (AISS) and provide a reference for diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. We collected relevant case reports of AISS by searching Chinese and English databases from 1960 to December 31, 2022, extracted the data and carried out a retrospective analysis. The median age of the 44 patients was 50 (range 9-89) years, and they included 32 males (72.7%). Fever (86.4%) and arthralgia (31.8%) were the most common clinical symptoms. The skin lesions were mainly pustules (54.5%), papules (40.9%), plaques (40.9%) and nodules (31.8%), which were mainly distributed on the extremities (54.5%), face (38.6%) and hands (36.4%). Laboratory examination revealed neutropenia (65.9%) as well as elevated C-reactive protein (63.6%) and erythrocyte sedimentation (40.9%) rates. Histopathology of the lesioned skin showed neutrophil infiltration (93.2%) and dermal edema (38.6%). Symptom relief was achieved at a median time of 7 days (range 2-28 days) after azathioprine discontinuation in all patients. Nine patients (20.5%) had skin lesions that recurred within 24 h after taking azathioprine again. Clinicians and pharmacists should grasp the regularity and characteristics of AISS and should not recommend the readministration of azathioprine, to avoid the recurrence of Sweet syndrome.

Abstract
Background Sweet Syndrome (SS) is a rare inflammatory skin condition characterized by the sudden appearance of tender, erythematous or violaceous papules, plaques, and nodules typically found on the face, neck, shoulder, upper extremities, and trunk. Often, SS is difficult to diagnose because of its various non-specific manifestations, including fever, arthralgia, myalgia and ocular involvement. In most cases described in literature, cutaneous and pulmonary symptoms of SS present in a concomitant manner. Several reported cases of pulmonary SS have shown that if left untreated, acute respiratory distress syndrome can ensue and progress to fatal respiratory failure. Case report A 58-year-old female with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) secondary to chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) presented with new nodular lesions, dyspnea, and fevers. Chest X-ray revealed pulmonary infiltrates. The patient developed new facial lesions and worsening hypoxic respiratory failure. Further infectious workup was negative. She was found to have SS with pulmonary involvement and initiated on high-dose intravenous (IV) steroids with marked clinical improvement. Conclusions Major and minor criteria for the diagnosis of lung-associated SS should be carefully evaluated, especially when a biopsy is unavailable. The following case report describes the clinical course and outcomes from treatment for this patient.

Abstract
A patient developed fever, raised inflammatory markers and a maculopapular rash following commencement of clozapine for treatment of his schizoaffective disorder. Skin biopsy confirmed Sweet's syndrome. Identification of the cause was challenging, with a number of possible considerations including infection, malignancy and various potential drug triggers.This case highlights the difficulties in the diagnosis of Sweet's syndrome, as well as in identifying the original trigger, which can have significant consequences for management. Withdrawal of potentially causative drugs must be balanced with their benefits, and decisions must be made in the best interests of the patient. Following two courses of prednisolone and withdrawal of clozapine, the patient's rash and systemic symptoms resolved. This confirmed the diagnosis of drug-induced Sweet's syndrome, with clozapine as the offending agent. His mental state stabilised on an alternative antipsychotic.

Abstract
Ixazomib, a proteasome inhibitor commonly used for the treatment of multiple myeloma, is a rare cause of Sweet's syndrome. We present a 62-year-old man who developed drug-induced Sweet's syndrome during his fifth cycle of ixazomib for treatment of refractory multiple myeloma. Monthly rechallenge led to the recurrence of symptoms. The patient was successfully treated with addition of weekly corticosteroids and resumed his cancer treatment.

Abstract
Sweet syndrome (SS) is an uncommon inflammatory disease that involves painful skin, edematous, red papules, plaques, or nodules often accompanied by fever and leukocytosis. SS has three subtypes, including classical, malignant-tumor associated, and drug-induced SS (DISS). Patients with DISS have clear histories of recent drug exposure. The incidence of SS is high in hematological malignancy but rare in lymphomas. Glucocorticoid treatment is the recommended treatment for all subtypes of SS. This case study describes a male patient who had a history of sALCL(Systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma) and was treated with multiple cycles of monoclonal-antibody (mAb) therapy. They also received the G-CSF injection at the site where skin lesions later developed. They met the diagnosis criteria for DISS, which was considered to be caused by the G-CSF injection. In addition, BV(Brentuximab vedotin) administration might predispose them to DISS. This case illustrates the first reported SS during the lymphoma treatment, with rare clinical presentations of local crater-like suppurative skin lesions. This case expands the available literature on SS and hematologic neoplasms and reminds clinicians to promptly recognize and diagnose SS to minimize patient morbidity and long-term sequelae.

Abstract
Urticaria is an inflammatory skin disorder that may occur in isolation or associated with angioedema and/or anaphylaxis. Clinically, it is characterized by the presence of smooth, erythematous or blanching, itchy swelling, called wheals or hives, which greatly vary in size and shape and last less than 24 h before fading to leave normal skin. Urticaria is the consequence of mast-cell degranulation that can be caused by immunological or non-immunological mechanisms. From a clinical point of view, many skin conditions can mimic urticaria and their recognition is mandatory for a correct management and therapeutic approach. We have reviewed all of the main relevant studies which addressed differential diagnosis of urticarial, published until December 2022. The National Library of Medicine PubMed database was used for the electronic research. The present review offers a clinical narrative overview, based on the available literature, of the principal skin disorders that can be misdiagnosed as urticaria (mainly autoinflammatory or autoimmune disorders, drug-induced reactions, and hyperproliferative diseases). The aim of this review is to provide clinicians a useful tool for correctly suspecting and identifying all of these conditions.

Abstract
Sweet syndrome (SS) is a rare non-vasculitic neutrophilic dermatosis. Fever, the abrupt emergence of tender erythematous plaques and nodules, with an occasional presentation of vesicles and pustules along with dense neutrophilic infiltrates on skin biopsy are the hallmarks of the illness. Tender plaques or nodules develop along with other systemic manifestations suddenly in affected people which is considered to occur due to immune-mediated hypersensitivity. We report a case of Sweet syndrome in Pakistan presenting in a 55-year-old female. It is worth reporting due to the rarity of such cases in this region. The patient was diagnosed after profound investigations and was treated with corticosteroid therapy.

Abstract
Sweet syndrome (SS) is a rare disease described as a febrile neutrophilic dermatosis with acute onset, the pathogenesis of which has not yet been elucidated. The syndrome is characterized by the sudden onset of erythematous infiltrated papules or plaques located on the upper body and is associated with fever, leukocytosis and neutrophilia. The lesions show a dense dermal infiltration with mature neutrophils. The condition is responsive to systemic steroids. The central nervous system, bones, muscles, eyes, ears, mouth, heart, lung, liver, kidneys, intestines, and spleen may be affected by SS as extracutaneous manifestations. More and more cases have been found to be associated with malignancies, particularly myelodysplastic syndrome, and, less frequently, other hematologic malignancies or solid tumors. Approximately 21% of patients with SS have an associated malignancy and up to 80% of MASS cases are associated with hematological diseases, predominantly myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) or acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Myelodysplastic syndrome is a clonal disease of the bone marrow characterized by inefficient hematopoiesis, dysplasia of the bone marrow and peripheral cytopenias. Affected patients have a high risk of leukemic transformation. After analyzing later studies and current practical aspects regarding MDS-related SS, we suggest an algorithm for evaluating these patients.

Abstract
Nowadays, clinical practice encounters the problem of delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) induced by several drugs. Antineoplastic treatments are among the drugs which show an elevated proportion of DHT reactions, leading to the worsening of patients' quality of life. The range of symptoms in DHT reactions can vary from mild, such as self-limiting maculopapular eruptions, to severe, such as Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. The development of these reactions supposes a negative impact, not only by limiting patients' quality of life, but also leading to economic loss due to market withdrawal of the affected drugs and high hospitalization costs. However, despite this problem, there are no available standard in vitro or in vivo methods that allow for the evaluation of the sensitizing potential of drugs in the preclinical phase. Therefore, the aim of this review is to summarize the skin reactions caused by the different antineoplastic families, followed by a comprehensive evaluation of the in vitro and in vivo methods used to detect DTHs and that could be suitable to test antineoplastic hypersensitivity reactions.

Abstract
BRAF/MEK inhibition remains standard of care for treatment of BRAF-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Although common adverse events (AEs) have been reported through clinical trials and ongoing clinical practice, only a handful of reports have detailed unusual adverse events associated with these medications. This report presents a patient with BRAF-mutated NSCLC treated with dabrafenib and trametinib who experienced 2 unusual AEs-Sweet syndrome and MEK-associated retinopathy-that responded to steroid treatment. The patient was able to continue BRAF/MEK inhibition through a coordinated multidisciplinary approach. This case highlights the importance for all clinicians to recognize unusual AEs associated with BRAF/MEK inhibition, particularly in the setting of expanded use for all BRAF V600E-mutated solid tumors.

Abstract
The aim of this article is to present the case of acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis (Sweet syndrome-SS) after Ad26.COV2.S vaccination against SARS-CoV-2. To the best of our knowledge, this is the second case of SS provoked by this specific vaccine. What is more, the mildly symptomatic beginning of the disease, later followed by typical SS manifestation with a variety of symptoms including nodular erythema of the feet and oral ulcerations, made it very challenging to establish the diagnosis. The article focuses on the current literature on the acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis, along with the coexistence with other neutrophilic dermatoses and anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccinations as provoking factors. It emphasizes the necessity for sharing the knowledge and experience on the subject of SS's clinical manifestations and underlying causes to facilitate prompt diagnosis and introduction of appropriate treatment.

Abstract
Purpose of Review Neutrophilic dermatoses are a heterogeneous group of disorders with significant overlap in associated conditions, clinical presentation, and histopathologic features. This review provides a structural overview of neutrophilic dermatoses that may present in the inpatient setting along with diagnostic work-up and management strategies. Recent Findings Sweet's syndrome has been found in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) has been shown to be equally associated with ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. A clinical trial shows that cyclosporine is equally effective as prednisone in treating PG. Neutrophilic eccrine hidradenitis has been found in the setting of newer antineoplastic medications, such as BRAF inhibitors, as well as in the setting of malignancy without chemotherapy exposure. Summary Neutrophilic dermatoses are a rare and complex group of dermatoses with varying and overlapping clinical presentations. Physicians should be aware of the growing list of associated diseases in order to build a better differential diagnosis or to potentially investigate for co-existing disease.

Abstract
ABSTRACT Diagnosing and treating neutrophilic dermatoses (NDs) in clinical practice can be challenging because of various presentations and stubborn treatment responses. Establishing a diagnosis is necessary, though, because many NDs are associated with underlying conditions, including malignancy. In this article, the authors provide information about Sweet syndrome, pyoderma gangrenosum, and other NDs and describe their clinical presentation, pathophysiology, diagnostic criteria, and associated conditions. The authors also present a case report describing the coexistence of two NDs and hidradenitis suppurativa in one patient and review the treatment modalities for those conditions.

Abstract
Sweet syndrome (SS), or acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis, is an inflammatory, non-infectious skin reaction characterized clinically by tender, erythematous papules/plaques/pustules/nodules commonly appearing on the upper limbs, trunk, and head and neck; histologically, SS is characterized by dense neutrophilic infiltrate in the dermis. SS is accompanied by fever; an elevation of inflammatory markers (e.g., erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C reactive protein) in serum may also be observed. Although most cases of SS are idiopathic, SS also occurs in the setting of malignancy or following administration of an associated drug. SS has also been reported in association with pregnancy and a burgeoning list of infectious (most commonly upper respiratory tract infections) and inflammatory diseases; likewise, the litany of possible iatrogenic triggers has also grown. Over the past several years, a wider spectrum of SS presentation has been realized, with several reports highlighting novel clinical and histological variants. Corticosteroids continue to be efficacious first-line therapy for the majority of patients with SS, although novel steroid-sparing agents have been recently added to the therapeutic armamentarium against refractory SS. New mechanisms of SS induction have also been recognized, although the precise etiology of SS still remains elusive. Here, we catalogue the various clinical and histological presentations of SS, summarize recently reported disease associations and iatrogenic triggers, and review treatment options. We also attempt to frame the findings of this review in the context of established and emerging paradigms of SS pathogenesis.

Abstract
ABSTRACT Histiocytoid Sweet syndrome (HSS) is an uncommon histologic variant of Sweet syndrome (SS). HSS can be distinguished from the classic SS with an infiltrate of histiocyte-like immature myeloid cells rather than dense neutrophilic infiltration, although the clinical features are similar. Previous studies have shown that the risk of hematologic malignancy is significantly higher in HSS compared with classic SS. To lesser extent, HSS is also associated with infections, inflammatory diseases, and drugs, particularly with antineoplastic agents as well. Here, we report a case of 2 patients with an abrupt onset of erythematous, tender plaques accompanied by fever, with that revealed similar histopathologic and immunohistochemical features, whom had a history of antibiotic use. Clinicopathologic correlation led to diagnosis of drug-induced HSS, associated with the use of levofloxacin and amoxicillin-clavulanate, respectively. Both patients were then successfully treated with systemic corticosteroid therapy, and neither of them had recurrence during the period of 24-month follow-up.

Abstract
Acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis which is referred as Sweet's syndrome (SS) is a dermatological condition characterized by fever, erythematous rash, and leukocytosis. SS can be idiopathic or associated with malignancies or medications. We present a rare case of SS which developed shortly after starting midostaurin in a patient with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML).

Abstract
Monoclonal gammopathy associated with dermatological manifestations are a well-recognized complication. These skin disorders can be associated with infiltration and proliferation of a malignant plasma cells or by a deposition of the monoclonal immunoglobulin in a nonmalignant monoclonal gammopathy. These disorders include POEMS syndrome, light chain amyloidosis, Schnitzler syndrome, scleromyxedema and TEMPI syndrome. This article provides a review of clinical manifestations, diagnostics criteria, natural evolution, pathogenesis, and treatment of these cutaneous manifestations.

Abstract
Purpose of Review Neutrophilic dermatoses are defined by the presence of a sterile neutrophilic infiltrate on histopathology. This review focuses on the pathogenesis, epidemiology, clinicopathological features, diagnosis, and management of four disorders: Sweet syndrome, pyoderma gangrenosum, Behçet syndrome, and neutrophilic eccrine hidradenitis. Recent Findings Recent studies have provided insight into the complex pathogenesis of neutrophilic dermatoses. Evidence supports an intricate interplay of abnormal neutrophil function and inflammasome activation, malignant transformation into dermal infiltrating neutrophils, and genetic predisposition. Summary Neutrophilic dermatoses have diverse cutaneous and extracutaneous manifestations and may be associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Common underlying associations include infectious, inflammatory, and neoplastic disorders, as well as drug reactions. Emerging diagnostic and therapeutic frameworks identify an expanding role for biologic and targeted anti-inflammatory therapies.

Abstract
Sweet’s Syndrome presents with dermal lesions, pyrexia, and specific histology. This case exemplifies the drug-induced sub-type of Sweet’s Syndrome. Sweet’s Syndrome has rarely been discussed in context of gynecologic malignancies.
Background Acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis, or Sweet’s Syndrome (SS), was first characterized by Dr. Robert Sweet in 1964 with eight cases of fever, neutrophilic polymorphonuclear leukocytosis, dermatological lesions, and histological evidence of dense dermal infiltration by mature neutrophils. SS presents in three settings: idiopathic, malignancy-associated, and drug-induced. In 1996, Walker and Cohen outlined the current diagnostic criteria for drug-induced SS with abrupt onset of painful lesions, dermal histology showing dense neutrophilic infiltrate, pyrexia > 38 °C, temporal relationship of drug administration to clinical presentation, and symptom resolution following drug withdrawal or systemic corticosteroid treatment. SS has rarely been reported in association with gynecologic malignancies. Method Case Report. Case A 41-year-old female receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy for advanced high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma presented for evaluation of cyclic fevers with dermatologic lesions following treatment with Carboplatin and Taxol, with Pegfilgrastim. On days 11–17 of treatment she reported fevers ranging from 101°F-104°F (38 °C- 40 °C) with subsequent eruption of truncal erythematous, pustular, and painful coalescing plaques. Lesion biopsies confirmed histologic presence of dense neutrophilic infiltration. The patient was initiated on oral corticosteroid therapy with symptom improvement. Discussion This case represents an example of SS in a patient receiving therapy with the most commonly implicated medication class, granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (GCSF). In drug-induced SS, there’s often a temporal relationship between medication administration and symptom development. In this case, all criteria for drug-induced SS were met with a GCS-F as the likely causative agent. This case illustrates a rare diagnosis in the context of gynecologic cancer treatment and will expand available reports of SS in the Gynecologic Oncology literature. We hope to elicit more prompt recognition and diagnosis of SS from practitioners to minimize patient morbidity and long-term sequelae.

Abstract
Sweet syndrome (SS) is divided into malignancy-associated, classical, and drug-induced subtypes. Features associated with SS, such as fevers, neutropenia, and cancer, are also high risk for serious infection. We aimed to describe hospitalized patients with a documented concern for SS on initial dermatologic evaluation, their risk of infection, and the impact of SS subtype on treatment and outcomes. We descriptively analyzed hospitalizations at The Ohio State University evaluated for SS by dermatology and performed a retrospective cohort analysis of malignancy-associated and non-malignancy-associated SS patients. Eighty-seven patient hospitalizations were evaluated for SS from 2012 to 2019. Thirty-one hospitalizations were complicated by neutropenia. Lesions in 12.9% (n = 4/31) of neutropenic hospitalizations were infected with Fusarium species (n = 2) or methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (n = 2). One patient with fungal disease died within 30 days of hospitalization. Thirty-three patients were confirmed to have a final diagnosis of SS. In the confirmed SS cohort, malignancy was associated with greater overall dapsone use (p = .021), less initial (p = .046) and overall (p = .013) corticosteroid use, and fewer SS-related readmissions within one year (p = .020) and overall (p = .004). Corticosteroid treatment delay should be considered for a short period in neutropenic patients while excluding infection. Malignancy-associated SS patients were more frequently treated with dapsone and favorable outcomes were seen in cancer patients.

Abstract
Sweet's syndrome is a serious dermatological disorder characterized by a rapid onset of tender plaques or nodules, fever, joint pain, headache, and oral and genital lesions. According to the clinical features and underlying causes, Sweet's syndrome is divided into three categories, i.e., classical (or idiopathic), malignancy-associated Sweet's syndrome, and drug-induced Sweet's syndrome. It is multifactorial in etiology, and the exact cause is still undetermined. The diagnosis can be confirmed by the routine histopathologic evaluation of skin biopsy from the lesions. The first-line treatment options are topical and systemic steroids. Multiple databases, like Medline/PubMed, Scopus, and Google, were used to identify resources for this literature review. The relevant information was collected from various case reports, case series, reviews, meta-analyses, and large clinical trials reporting clinical description, etiology, diagnosis, and management of Sweet's syndrome. This narrative review aimed to discuss recent understandings related to Sweet's syndrome, both in terms of clinical presentation and management approach.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Sweet syndrome [SS] is a dermatological condition associated with both inflammatory bowel disease [IBD] and azathioprine use. We performed a systematic review to better delineate clinical characteristics and outcomes of SS in IBD patients. METHODS Peer-reviewed, full-text journal publications from inception to April 2020 in English language and adult subjects with IBD were included. Skin biopsy was required as SS gold-standard diagnosis. Azathioprine-associated SS required recent azathioprine introduction or recurrence of SS after azathioprine re-challenge. RESULTS We included 89 publications with 95 patients [mean age of SS diagnosis: 44 years; 59% female; 20 with azathioprine-associated SS and 75 without]. SS was diagnosed prior to IBD in 5.3%, at time of IBD diagnosis in 29.5% and after diagnosis in 64.2%. In total, 91% of patients with SS had known colonic involvement and the majority [76%] had active IBD at diagnosis; 22% had additional extra-intestinal manifestations. Successful therapies for SS included corticosteroids [90.5%], anti-tumour necrosis factor [TNF]-α inhibitor therapy [14.8%] and azathioprine [11.6%]. Azathioprine-associated SS was distinct, with 85% male patients, mean age of SS diagnosis of 50 years and a lower likelihood to be prescribed corticosteroids for treatment [75% vs 94.7% of non-azathioprine-associated SS, p = 0.008]. All patients with azathioprine-associated SS improved with medication cessation and developed recurrence after re-challenge. CONCLUSIONS SS may precede or occur with IBD diagnosis in almost one-third of cases. Azathioprine and IBD-associated SS present and behave distinctly, especially with regard to gender, age at diagnosis and recurrence risk. Corticosteroids and TNF-α inhibitors have demonstrated efficacy in treating SS in IBD.

Abstract
Sweet's syndrome (acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis) consists of acute onset of painful cutaneous erythematous lesions, mostly found in the upper extremities followed by the head and neck region, particularly in patients with underlying malignancies. We describe the case of a woman in her mid-30s, who was treated for acute myeloid leukaemia and presented with a severe painful and progressive erythematous lesion of the retroauricular skin. Clinical features, laboratory tests, blood cultures and histological biopsy yielded a diagnosis of Sweet's syndrome. The treatment consisted of oral and topical corticosteroids and her signs and symptoms resolved within 1 week. Although Sweet's syndrome is uncommon, awareness among otolaryngologists is crucial to ensure a prompt diagnosis, cure and referral to an oncologist (if not already involved) for patients with Sweet's syndrome in the head and neck area.

Abstract
In this article, we describe a case of neutrophilic dermatosis of the dorsal hands (NDDH) complicated with myelodysplastic syndrome and chronic active hepatitis C infection. NDDH was first suggested by Galaria et al in 2000. After comparing features of NDDH with Sweet syndrome in terms of encompassing clinical, laboratory, and histological characteristics, it can be concluded that “distributional or localized variant” of Sweet syndrome is classified as NDDH. Early diagnosis and treatment can improve prognosis. Systemic glucocorticoids are the mainstay of treatment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Rare diseases (RDs) affect less than 5/10,000 people in Europe and fewer than 200,000 individuals in the United States. In rheumatology, RDs are heterogeneous and lack systemic classification. Clinical courses involve a variety of diverse symptoms, and patients may be misdiagnosed and not receive appropriate treatment. The objective of this study was to identify and classify some of the most important RDs in rheumatology. We also attempted to determine their combined prevalence to more precisely define this area of rheumatology and increase awareness of RDs in healthcare systems. We conducted a comprehensive literature search and analyzed each disease for the specified criteria, such as clinical symptoms, treatment regimens, prognoses, and point prevalences. If no epidemiological data were available, we estimated the prevalence as 1/1,000,000. The total point prevalence for all RDs in rheumatology was estimated as the sum of the individually determined prevalences. RESULTS A total of 76 syndromes and diseases were identified, including vasculitis/vasculopathy (n = 15), arthritis/arthropathy (n = 11), autoinflammatory syndromes (n = 11), myositis (n = 9), bone disorders (n = 11), connective tissue diseases (n = 8), overgrowth syndromes (n = 3), and others (n = 8). Out of the 76 diseases, 61 (80%) are classified as chronic, with a remitting-relapsing course in 27 cases (35%) upon adequate treatment. Another 34 (45%) diseases were predominantly progressive and difficult to control. Corticosteroids are a therapeutic option in 49 (64%) syndromes. Mortality is variable and could not be determined precisely. Epidemiological studies and prevalence data were available for 33 syndromes and diseases. For an additional eight diseases, only incidence data were accessible. The summed prevalence of all RDs was 28.8/10,000. CONCLUSIONS RDs in rheumatology are frequently chronic, progressive, and present variable symptoms. Treatment options are often restricted to corticosteroids, presumably because of the scarcity of randomized controlled trials. The estimated combined prevalence is significant and almost double that of ankylosing spondylitis (18/10,000). Thus, healthcare systems should assign RDs similar importance as any other common disease in rheumatology.

Abstract
Tyrosine kinase inhibitors are a class of targeted anticancer drugs that inhibit cancer cell proliferation by inactivating proteins involved in signal transduction cascades. Various cutaneous adverse events have been observed after tyrosine kinase inhibitor administration, including Sweet syndrome. We queried the PubMed database to identify 14 cases of Sweet syndrome thought to be secondary to tyrosine kinase inhibitors. Tyrosine kinase inhibitor-induced Sweet syndrome had a median of 2 months latency following drug administration. All cases but one had morphologic features classic for Sweet syndrome (erythematous and tender papules, plaques, or nodules). All cases also had classic histopathologic findings (dermal neutrophilic infiltrate without vasculitis or necrosis). Using diagnostic criteria for drug-induced Sweet syndrome and the Naranjo Drug Reaction Probability Scale for a drug-induced cutaneous eruption, we found that six cases favored a drug-induced etiology over malignancy, two cases favored a malignancy-associated Sweet syndrome, and the remaining eight met drug-induced Sweet syndrome criteria but had low Naranjo scores. Nine cases resulted in medication discontinuation, while five cases continued anticancer therapy and were treated only with corticosteroids with quick resolution of skin lesions. Dermatologists should be aware of this adverse cutaneous reaction to tyrosine kinase inhibitors and should treat on a case-by-case basis, though limited evidence in this review suggests that oncologic therapy may safely be continued with prompt corticosteroid treatment.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Sweet Syndrome, also known as acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis, is a rare inflammatory disease characterized by the sudden emergence of painful, edematous, and erythematous papules, plaques, or nodules on the skin, which usually fully responsive to systemic corticosteroids. Skin lesions are often accompanied by fever and leukocytosis. Here we present a case of Sweet Syndrome caused by pemetrexed in metastatic lung adenocarcinoma. CASE REPORT A 52-year-old patient with metastatic lung adenocarcinoma received multiple lines of chemotherapy. The patient presented with extensive skin lesions after performing of pemetrexed chemotherapy. He had a fever and elevations in blood levels of C-reactive protein (CRP), sedimentation, leucocytes, and neutrophils. Neutrophil predominant perivascular and interstitial dermatitis, focal micropustule formation, and severe neutrophilic dermatosis were reported in skin biopsy. Topical steroid and oral antihistamine treatment were started as initial treatment.Discussion and conclusions: Cutaneous side effects related to pemetrexed are often reported as 'skin rash,' which is a non-specific term. Therefore, the diagnosis of Sweet Syndrome must be confirmed by skin biopsy. It is essential to exclude the presence of an infection and medication history. Recovery in drug-induced Sweet Syndrome occurs after the drug that caused it was discontinued. Systemic corticosteroids are the first-line treatment for most cases.

Abstract
Neutrophilic drug reactions are unique eruptions that can affect hospitalized patients and share a common pathophysiology with neutrophils as the key mediators of inflammation. They range in clinical presentation from papules and plaques to bullae and erosions to pustules. Although there is some overlap in presentation, each has distinguishing features that aid the clinician in differentiation from one another and from other drug hypersensitivity reactions. Much of the data on these reactions are from case reports and series or retrospective review studies. There are limited prospective observational studies dedicated to these adverse drug reactions. We review the more common and life-threatening neutrophilic drug reactions, their proposed mechanism of action, and their management.

Abstract
Sweet syndrome (SS), also known as acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis, is a rare inflammatory disorder characterized by sudden onset of variably tender brightly erythematous-to-violaceous papules, plaques, or nodules. To clarify the frequency, clinical course, therapeutic response, and outcome of Sweet syndrome with malignancy. We conducted a retrospective review of patients diagnosed with SS between 2009 and 2019 with a diagnosis of Sweet syndrome in West China hospital. Records were analyzed for variables, clinical features, etiological factors, laboratory results, and treatment outcomes. The 25 cases under study consisted of 14 (56%) females and 11 (44%) males. Mean age was 52.2 years (range: 4-76 years). Nodules were the commonest lesion presentation (48%), involving mostly the lower limbs (52%). Pain of lesion was identified as the most common symptom (88%), followed by fever (76%) and cough (44%). Among the patients, 52% exhibited the classic form, 48% showed the malignancy-associated form, and 4% exhibited the drug-induced form in the setting of malignancy. Acute myeloid leukemia was the most common malignancy, observed in 5 of 12 patients (41.6%). Anemia (P = .002) was associated with malignancy (Chi-square test).

Abstract
Drug reactions resulting from chemotherapy agents are common and frequently affect the skin. Although often benign, a select few of these cutaneous reactions may necessitate immediate changes to the antineoplastic regimens. Given the diversity of chemotherapeutic skin reactions and their complex implications on patient management, an organized conceptual schema is imperative for proper patient care. We evaluate a number of commonly seen chemotherapy-induced skin toxicities organized by pathogenic mechanism and drug class, providing a framework for the identification and categorization of adverse events to prevent unrecognition. Groupings of these reactions include direct cytotoxicity and/or drug accumulation, immunologic hypersensitivity, and aberrant molecular signaling.
