Nasal bridge intramuscular hemangioma

Intramuscular haemangioma (IMH) is a benign mesenchymal tumour. It appears as a deep, nontender mass within the soft tissue, particularly in the extremities. This tumour may not be obvious on clinical examination. Head and neck IMHs represent only 13.5% of the total IMHs. The most common site for a head and neck IMH is the masseter muscle, followed by trapezius, sternocleidomastoid, and very rarely temporalis muscle. We present a patient with left nasal bridge swelling which was excised and histologically confirmed as intramuscular hemangioma.

Angiolipoma in head and neck: report of two cases and review of the literature

Angiolipomas are either encapsulated or non-encapsulated fatty tumours. They are distinguished from other lipomas by the excessive degree of vascular proliferation and because they are mixed with mature adipocytes. They commonly occur in the trunk and extremities and are rare in the maxillofacial area. Only 36 cases in the head and neck have been reported in the literature. The authors report the first non-infiltrating intramasseterine angiolipoma, and a case of non-infiltrating angiolipoma of the cheek. These tumours appear as homogenous low-density areas on CT with no contrast enhancement. MRI gives better tumour delineation and clear definition of the location and longitudinal extent of the mass. Histopathology demonstrates mature adipose tissue and the proliferation of numerous small branching blood vessels. Management of angiolipomas requires complete surgical excision.

Angiolipoma Presenting as a Nasal Mass: How Rare a Presentation?

Angiolipomas are benign adipose tumors. There are two types: infiltrating and noninfiltrating. An angiolipoma presenting as a nasal mass is rare. To our knowledge, this is only the second documented case of angiolipoma presenting in the nasal dorsum. Total surgical excision by an external rhinoplasty technique with close follow-up is advised. Recurrence is not common.

Forefoot plantar multilobular noninfiltrating angiolipoma: a case report and review of the literature

Background

Soft tissue tumors of the feet are uncommon and there have been very few reports of large series in the literature. These tumors continue to present the clinician with one of the most difficult problems in medicine.

Case presentation

We present a case of a large multilobular noninfiltrating angiolipoma at the plantar surface of the forefoot. Only three cases occurring at the foot have been previously described. We report this new case due to unusual location of the tumor, the long duration (25 years) of its existence and the unique surgical approach for the tumor excision.

Conclusion

Surgical excision is the treatment of choice and adjuvant radiotherapy is indicated in select cases.

Rectal angiolipoma: A case report and review of literature

Angiolipoma is a rare vascular variant of the benign lipomatous tumors and is generally seen in subcutaneous tissues. We report a 70-year-old female with abdominal distension not related to rectal small polypoid mass with peduncule described as angiolipoma by histologically, and review the literature.

Angiolipoma of the Neck: A Case Report

Angiolipomas of the neck are extremely rare; to our knowledge, only 2 cases have been previously reported. We report a new case, which occurred in a 28-year-old woman. The mass was totally resected, and the patient showed no recurrence at the 18-month follow-up.
