Abstract
This paper is intended to update the former consensus between the French Societies of Radiology and Cardiology about the use of stress cardiac magnetic resonance imaging in chronic coronary syndrome, published in 2009. The Delphi method was used to build the present consensus. This expert panel consensus includes recommendations for indications, the procedure (with patient preparation), stress-inducing drugs, the acquisition protocol, interpretation and risk stratification by stress magnetic resonance imaging.

Abstract
The field of cardiovascular MRI has evolved rapidly over the past decade, feeding new applications across a broad spectrum of clinical and research areas. Advances in magnet hardware technology, and key developments such as segmented k-space acquisitions, advanced motion encoding techniques, ultra-rapid perfusion imaging and delayed myocardial enhancement imaging have all contributed to a revolution in how patients with ischemic and non-ischemic heart disease are diagnosed and treated. Actually, cardiac MRI is a widely accepted method as the "gold standard" for detection and characterization of many forms of cardiac diseases. The aim of this review is to present an overview of cardiac MRI technology, advances in clinical applications, and future directions.

Abstract
In the past decade, cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) has evolved considerably. Its clinical applications enable the diagnosis and prognostic assessment of patients with ischemic heart disease. CMR is safe, with absence of any ionizing radiation, and offers the greatest information from a single test, allowing the assessment of myocardial morphology, myocardial function and viability. Stress-CMR can be used for detection and quantification of ischemia. This article analyses the technical approach, the limits and reviews the available literature about diagnostic performance of stress CMR testing and its results in the prognostication of cardiac patients. With further improvements in CMR techniques and the establishment of a standardized study protocol, stress-CMR will play a pivotal role in managing patients with ischemic heart disease.

Abstract
The 3D balanced gradient-echo technique is described along with th eimaging protocol for MR imaging of th ecoronary arteries. A 3D volume with spatial resolution of 0.6 x 0.6 x 0.75 mm composed of 140 slices covering the whole heart is acquired over 10 minutes. The main advantage of this whole heart technique is the possibility to image the coronary arteries along their entire course in a single acquisition. Selection of the navigator positions, timing of image acquisition and its duration through the R-R interval are the main factors requiring optimization.
