Abstract
Layering AgNO3 in alcohol onto octavinylsilsesquioxane (OVS) in CHCl3 results in a one-dimensional coordination polymer, {Ag4(NO3)4(OVS)·solvents}n (SD/Ag4a-d), consisting of unprecedented flat weakly bonded Ag4(NO3)4 alternating with the firmly covalent OVS through AgI-πC═C bonds. The preferential assembling medium for SD/Ag4a is proven to be alcohols, where a 4:1 silver-OVS adduct is detected by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry. The present outcomes may assist our knowledge of particular interactions for supramolecular architectures of a polynuclear silver system built from OVS containing eight pendent olefin tails.

Abstract
We report the first example of linker modification for an N-donor Ag-based cationic material while maintaining and in some cases increasing the anion exchange capacity. Cationic silver(I) pyrazine nitrate selectively traps harmful oxo-anions from water such as permanganate, perrhenate and a variety of α,ω-alkanedicarboxylates. We chose these anions as initial examples of exchange for potential water purification. The host-guest interaction between the cationic layers of π-stacked silver pyrazine polymers and the incoming/outgoing interlamellar anions allows for the exchange. The exchange capacity over 24 h reached 435 and 818 mg/g for permanganate and perrhenate, respectively, a record for a crystalline metal-organic material and over five times the exchange capacity compared to commercial resin. The material also undergoes organic exchange as an analog for pharmaceutical waste, some of which have a carboxylate functionality at the neutral pH range typical of natural water sources. Both the as-synthesized and exchanged materials are characterized by a variety of analytical techniques.

Abstract
In poly[[μ4-1,4-bis(pyridazin-4-yl)benzene-1:2:3:4κ4N1:N2:N1′:N2′]di-μ2-chlorido-dicopper(I)], [Cu2Cl2(C14H10N4)]n, (I), and its isomorphous bromide analogue, [Cu2Br2(C14H10N4)]n, (II), the organic ligand is situated across a centre of inversion. The CuIcations adopt a distorted tetrahedral [CuN2X2] [X= Cl in (I) or Br in (II)] environment [Cu—N = 2.0183 (14)–2.0936 (14) Å; Cu—Cl = 2.2686 (6) and 2.4241 (5) Å; Cu—Br = 2.4002 (6) and 2.5284 (5) Å] and the primary coordination motif consists of cuprohalogenide chains accommodating μ-pyridazine groups. The organic ligands are tetradentate and link the inorganic chains into corrugated layers. Their packing is influenced by interlayer anion...π interactions [Cl...π = 3.540 (2) Å and Br...π = 3.593 (2) Å] with the electron-deficient pyridazine rings. This kind of interaction precludes the characteristic slipped π–π stacking and close parallel alignment of the organic tectons; it may be involved as a structure-defining factor for coordination layers based upon lengthy polyaromatic linkers.

Abstract
Pyrazine mono-N-oxide reacts with silver salts to form either discrete complexes involving monodentate N-coordination or 1D coordination polymers in which the ligand acts in a N,O-bridging bidentate coordination mode.

Abstract
In poly[di-μ-chlorido-μ-(4,4′-bipyridazine)-κ2N1:N1′-cadmium(II)], [CdCl2(C8H6N4)]n, (I), and its isomorphous bromide analogue, [CdBr2(C8H6N4)]n, (II), the halide atom lies on a mirror plane and the CdIIion resides at the intersection of two perpendicular mirror planes withm2msite symmetry. The pyridazine rings of the ligand lie in a mirror plane and are related to each other by a second mirror plane perpendicular to the first. The compounds adopt the characteristic structure of the [MIIX2(bipy)] type (bipy is bipyridine) based on crosslinking of [Cd(μ-X)2]nchains [Cd—Cl = 2.5955 (9) and 2.6688 (9) Å; Cd—Br = 2.7089 (4) and 2.8041 (3) Å] by bitopic rod-like organic ligands [Cd—N = 2.368 (3)–2.380 (3) Å]. This feature is discussed in terms of supramolecular stabilization, implying that the periodicity of the inorganic chain [Cd...Cd = 3.7802 (4) Å in (I) and 3.9432 (3) Å in (II)] is favourable for extensive parallel π–π stacking of monodentate pyridazine rings, with centroid–centroid distances of 3.7751 (4) Å in (I) and 3.9359 (4) Å in (II). This is not the case for the longer iodide bridges, which cannot stabilize such a pattern. In poly[tetra-μ-iodido-μ4-(4,4′-bipyridazine)-κ4N1:N2:N1′:N2′-dicadmium(II)], [Cd2I4(C8H6N4)]n, (III), the ligands are situated across a centre of inversion; they are tetradentate [Cd—N = 2.488 (2) and 2.516 (2) Å] and link successive [Cd(μ-I)2]nchains [Cd—I = 2.8816 (3)–3.0069 (4) Å] into corrugated layers.
