Abstract
In this review, the recent applications of a variety of chiral imino-containing ligands classified by different types of metal-catalyzed asymmetric reactions are summarized. The progress made in this area would encourage us to design and synthesize more novel chiral imino-containing ligands, and explore their applications in metal-catalyzed asymmetric transformations.

Abstract
Metal-catalyzed enantioselective allylation, which involves the substitution of allylic metal intermediates with a diverse range of different nucleophiles or S(N)2'-type allylic substitution, leads to the formation of C-H, -C, -O, -N, -S, and other bonds with very high levels of asymmetric induction. The reaction may tolerate a broad range of functional groups and has been applied successfully to the synthesis of many natural products and new chiral compounds.

Abstract
(S)-tert-Butylsulfinylferrocene was submitted to ortho-metalation, and the corresponding lithium derivative was trapped by alkyl or aryl imines bearing various electron-withdrawing groups on the nitrogen atom (Ts, Dpp, Boc). New aminosulfoxides were obtained with complete diastereocontrol when Dpp or Boc groups were used. The absolute configuration (SS,SFc,S) has been determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis and chemical correlation. An unusual pseudocyclic boatlike transition state has been proposed to explain the stereochemical course of this reaction.

Abstract
[reaction: see text] A new family of unsymmetrical ferrocenylethylamine-derived monophosphoramidites were synthesized and successfully applied in the Rh-catalyzed enantioselective hydrogenation of a range of enamides and alpha-dehydroamino acid esters, and ee values of up to 99.5% were obtained for both types of substrate. These results suggest that unsymmetrical amine-derived monophosphoramidites can also exhibit excellent enantioselectivity for a broad range of substrates, comparable to or higher than those of the most efficient symmetrical amine-derived monophosphoramidites reported thus far.

Abstract
[reaction: see text] Excellent enantioselectivities and high turnovers (S/C = 5000) were achieved in the Rh(I)-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of both beta-aryl- and beta-alkyl-beta-(acylamino)acrylates with a new unsymmetrical hybrid ferrocenylphosphine-phosphoramidite ligand, and the presence of an N-H proton in the ligand was demonstrated to have a crucial role in the enantioselectivity.
