Abstract
Cross sections for the formation of metastable state of 139Ce through 140Ce(n, 2n)139mCe reaction were measured at five neutron energies over 13.73-14.77 MeV range using the activation method and off-line gamma-ray spectrometric technique. These cross sections were in agreement with the corresponding theoretical cross sections estimated over 10-20 MeV neutrons by EMPIRE-3.2 code, using LEVEDEN 4 and strength function GSTRFN 0 parameters, and TALYS-1.8 code using ldmodel 5 and preeqmode 4 parameters. The estimated most probable excitation energies of 139Ce were 1.320-3.877 MeV, respectively over 13.73 MeV and 14.77 MeV neutron energies.

Abstract
Neutron induced reaction cross sections of Cerium isotopes (136Ce, 138Ce, 140Ce, 142Ce) were investigated for the (n, 2n), (n, α), (n, p) and (n, γ) reactions in the neutron energy around 14 MeV. Experimental cross sections have been obtained for 136Ce(n, 2n)135m+gCe, 138Ce(n, 2n)137mCe, 140Ce(n, 2n)139m+gCe, 142Ce(n, 2n)141gCe, 140Ce(n, p)140gLa, 142Ce(n, p)142gLa, 140Ce(n, α)137mBa, 142Ce(n, α)139Ba and 142Ce(n, γ)143Ce reactions. The measured values were compared with the literature data as well as the evaluated nuclear data from ENDF/B-VII.1, CENDL-3.1, JENDL-4.0 and the calculated results by Talys-1.8 code.

Abstract
Abstract:
The cross sections for (n,x) reactions on samarium isotopes were measured at (d-T) neutron energies of 13.5 and 14.8 MeV with the activation technique. Samples were activated along with Nb and Al monitor foils to determine the incident neutron flux. Theoretical calculations of excitation functions were performed using the nuclear model codes TALYS-1.6 and EMPIRE-3.2 Malta with default parameters, at neutron energies varying from the reaction threshold to 20 MeV. The results were discussed and compared with experimental data found in the literature. At neutron energies 13.5 and 14.8 MeV, the cross sections of the 149Sm(n,p)149Pm reaction are reported for the first time. The cross sections of the 150Sm(n,p)150Pm, 144Sm(n,p)144Pm, 152Sm(n,α)149Nd and 144Sm(n,α)141Nd reactions at different neutron energies reported in the present work can be added as new data in the nuclear databases.

Abstract
The cross-sections for the (158)Dy(n,p)(158)Tb, (156)Dy(n,alpha)(153)Gd and (160)Dy(n,p)(160)Tb reactions induced by 14.7MeV neutrons were measured in this work and calculated by a previously developed formula. Measurements were corrected for gamma-ray attenuations, random coincidence (pile-up), dead time and fluctuation of neutron flux. Nuclear model calculations using the code HFTT, which employs the Hauser-Feshbach (statistical model) and exciton model (precompound effects) formalisms, were undertaken to describe the formation of the products.
