Abstract
The present research work approaches the removal of fluoride from aqueous medium using neutralized activated red mud (NARM) in a continuous fixed bed column. Artificial neural network (ANN) technique was applied effectively for optimization of the model for the practicability of the removal process. The consequences of various experimental variables, like bed length, adsorbate concentration, experimental time, and adsorbate solution flow rate are studied to know the breakthrough point and saturation times. The highest removal potentiality of NARM was considered to be 3.815 mg g-1 of F- in the bed height of 15 cm, starting concentration 1 ppm, susceptible time 120 min, adsorbate solution flow rate 0.5 mL min-1, and constant room temperature, respectively. Bohart-Adams and Thomas models were considered to describe the fixed bed column effect to the bed height and adsorbate concentrations. The experimental data were applied to a back propagation (BP) learning algorithm programme with a four-seven-one architecture model. The artificial neural network model was considered to be functioning correctly as absolute relative percentage error throughout the learning period. Differentiation between the predicted outcomes from ANN model and actual results from experimental analysis affords a high degree of correlation (R2 = 0.998) stipulating that the model was able to predict the adsorption efficiency. Experimented adsorbent materials were characterized using different instrumental analysis that is scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and X-ray diffraction (XRD).

Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Oxidative Aging Effect on Diffusion Behaviors of Oxygen and Cyclohexane in NBR. Polymers (Basel) 2022; 14:polym14102060. Abstract
The influences of thermal-oxidative aging on the diffusion behaviors of oxygen and cyclohexane in nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) at the micro-scale were investigated by molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. The two types of aged rubber models were established on the basis of rubber oxidative chains modified by the introduction of hydroxyl groups and carbonyl groups in rubber chains. The diffusion behaviors of oxygen and cyclohexane in NBR under different conditions were characterized by the fractional free volume (FFV), mean square displacement (MSD), diffusion coefficients, and diffusion trajectory. It turns out that the elevated temperature contributed to the increase in the free volume and diffusion range of oxygen and cyclohexane, while the compressive stress showed the reverse influence. Additionally, the introduction of oxidative polar functional groups (hydroxyl groups and carbonyl groups) in rubber chains lowered the flexibility of the rubber chains and promoted the formation of strong polar interaction, which further inhibits the diffusion of oxygen and cyclohexane.

Abstract
The effects of oxidative aging on the static and dynamic properties of nitrile rubber at the molecular scale were investigated by molecular dynamics simulation. The aged nitrile rubber models were constructed by introducing hydroxyl groups and carbonyl groups into rubber molecular chains to mimic oxidative aging. The static and dynamic properties of the unaged and aged nitrile rubber under different conditions were evaluated by mean square displacement, self-diffusion coefficients, hydrogen bond, fractional free volume, radial distribution function, cohesive energy density and solubility parameter. The results show that the elevated temperature intensified significantly the mobility of rubber molecular chains and fractional free volume, while the compressive strain displayed the opposite effect resulting in packing and rearrangement of rubber chains. The introduction of hydroxyl groups and carbonyl groups enhanced the polarity, intermolecular interactions, the volume and rigidity of molecular chains, implying weaker mobility of molecular chains as compared to unaged models. The compressive strain and oxidative aging both decreased the fractional free volume, which inhibited gaseous and liquid diffusion into the rubber materials, and slowed down the oxidative aging rate. This study provides insights to better understand the effect of molecular changes due to oxidative aging on the structural and dynamic properties of rubber materials at the molecular level.

Abstract
Energy crisis and environmental pollution are the major problems of human survival and development. Photocatalytic technology can effectively use solar energy and is prospective to solve the above-mentioned problems. Carbon nitride is a two-dimensional polymer material with a graphite-like structure. It has good physical and chemical stabilities, unique chemical and electronic energy band structures, and is widely used in the field of photocatalysis. Graphitic carbon nitride has a conjugated large π bond structure, which is easier to be modified with other compounds. thereby the surface area and visible light absorption range of carbon nitride-based photocatalytic composites can be insignificantly increased, and interface electron transmission and corresponding photogenerated carriers separation of streams are simultaneously promoted. Therefore, the present study systematically introduced the basic catalytic principles, preparation and modification methods, characterization and calculation simulation of carbon nitride-based photocatalytic composite materials, and their application in wastewater treatment. We also summarized their application in wastewater treatment with the aid of artificial intelligence tools. This review summarized the frontier technology and future development prospects of graphite phase carbon nitride photocatalytic composites, which provide a theoretical reference for wastewater purification.
