Abstract
A new mononuclear tungsten coordination compound, [WO2L(CH3OH)] (1), was synthesized by the reaction of WCl6 and H2L (H2L = (E)-4-amino-N′-(5-bromo-2-hydroxybenzylidene)benzohydrazide) in methanol. Both the H2L and compound 1 were characterized by elemental analysis and UV-Vis, FT-IR and NMR spectroscopic methods. The molecular structure of compound 1 was also determined by single crystal X-ray analysis which confirmed the compound is a mononuclear coordination compound of cis-dioxidotungsten(vi) containing a free amine functionality on the ligand. Compound 1 was supported on propionyl chloride-functionalized silica gel by amidification reaction to obtain a heterogeneous catalyst. The obtained heterogeneous catalyst was characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), diffuse-reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and its catalytic activity was investigated in the epoxidation of olefins with hydrogen peroxide under solvent free conditions. The catalyst was successfully recovered several times and the recovered catalyst was also characterized by various methods including FT-IR, DRS, TGA, SEM and EDX analyses. The results indicated this heterogeneous catalytic system is an effective and selective catalyst for epoxidation of olefins and can be reused several times without significant change in its catalytic activity. In this study the solvent free catalytic oxidation of olefins by a new silica supported hydrazone-dioxidotungsten(vi) coordination compound is investigated.![]()

Abstract
Ionic oxidoperoxido-molybdenum(VI) complexes of the type [Cat][MoO(O2)2(pic)], with pic = N,O-chelated picolinate ligand and Cat = monocation, were prepared in high yields (82–95%) from the precursor complex [H3O][MoO(O2)2(pic)] via [H]+ cation exchange for 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium [EMIM]+, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium [BMIM]+, 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium [OMIM]+, N-cetylpyridinium [C16Py]+, and N-methyl-N,N,N-trioctylammonium [Aliquat]+. The structure and purity of the ionic compounds were assessed by 1H and 13C NMR, FT-IR, and elemental analysis (C, H, N), and the electrochemical properties were studied by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and cyclic voltammetry (CV). The [Cat][MoO(O2)2(pic)] compounds showed promising catalytic epoxidation activity based on the model reaction of cis-cyclooctene with tert-butyl hydroperoxide as oxidant. The type of cation influenced the physical state of the compound and the catalytic performance.

Abstract
Abstract
Crystalline hybrid catalysts based on molybdenum or tungsten oxide and aliphatic diamines were synthesized via simple, eco-friendly reproducible methodologies, starting from commercially available and relatively inexpensive organic and inorganic precursors, and using water as solvent under mild conditions. The crystal structures of the obtained fine powdered solids were solved ab initio from powder X-ray diffraction data. The type of organic component (1,2-diaminoethane, 1,2-diaminopropane, 1,3-diaminopropane) may play a structure-directing role. On the other hand, different metals (M = Mo, W) may lead to isostructural one-dimensional hybrids of the type MO3(L) with the same bidentate diamine ligand L. The prepared catalysts were investigated for the liquid phase oxidation of saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons (cis-cyclooctene, cyclooctane), using different types of oxidants (O2, H2O2, tert-butyl hydroperoxide). Differences in catalytic performances associated with distinct structural features were investigated.

Abstract
Inorganic-organic hybrid semiconductors are promising candidates for energy-related applications. Here, we have developed a unique class of multiple-stranded one-dimensional (1D) structures as very robust and efficient lighting phosphors. Following a systematic ligand design strategy, these structures are constructed by forming multiple coordination bonds between adjacent copper iodide inorganic building units Cu m I m (m = 2, 4, 6) (e.g. dimer, tetramer and hexamer clusters) and strong-binding bidentate organic ligands with low LUMO energies which give rise to infinite 1D chains of high stability and low bandgaps. The significantly enhanced thermal/photostability of these multiple-stranded chain structures is largely attributed to the multi-dentate nature and enhanced Cu-N bonding, and their excellent blue excitability is a result of using benzotriazole based ligands with low-lying LUMO energies. These facts are confirmed by Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations. The luminescence mechanism of these compounds is studied by temperature dependent photoluminescence experiments. High internal quantum yields (IQYs) are achieved under blue excitation, marking the highest value reported so far for crystalline inorganic-organic hybrid yellow phosphors. Excellent thermal- and photo-stability, coupled with high luminescence efficiency, make this class of materials promising candidates for use as rare-earth element (REE) free phosphors in energy efficient general lighting devices.

Abstract
The title compound, (C5H9N2)4[Mo8O26]·4H2O, was reported previously from a room-temperature data collection from which only the metal atoms could be refined anisotropically [FitzRoy et al. (1989 ▸). Inorg. Chim. Acta, 157, 187-194]. The current redetermination at 180 (2) K models all the non-H atoms with anisotropic displacement parameters and fully describes the supra-molecular N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen-bonded network connecting the 3,5-di-methyl-pyrazolium cations, the water mol-ecules of crystallization and the β-octa-molybdate anion. All H atoms involved in the three-dimensional hydrogen-bonding network could be located from difference Fourier maps, with the exception of those of one disordered water mol-ecule, firstly seen in this structural report [refined over two distinct locations with site-occupancy factors of 0.65 (2) and 0.35 (2)]. The complete β-octa-molybdate anion is generated by a crystallographic inversion centre.
