Abstract
This work presents a set of Hg macrocycles of amide-phosphine-based ligands offering H-bonding cavities of different dimensions. Such macrocycles are shown to selectively adsorb anionic dyes followed by neutral dyes as well as Prontosil, a biologically relevant antibiotic, within their cavities with the aid of H-bonding-assisted encapsulation. Kinetic experiments supported by spectroscopic and docking studies illustrate the importance of the cavity structure as well as H-bonds for the selective adsorption of dyes.

Abstract
Water pollution originating from organic dyes is endangering the survival and development of society; however, adsorbents with high capacity (>5000 mg g-1) for the fast removal (≤30 min) of Congo Red (CR) in aqueous solution have been not reported to date. In the present work, an acid-base stably layered MOF, [Cd(H2L)(BS)2]n·2nH2O (L-MOF-1, H2L = N1,N2-bis(pyridin-3-ylmethyl)ethane-1,2-diamine, BS = benzenesulfonate), was hydrothermally prepared. L-MOF-1 exhibited high-performance adsorption of CR in aqueous solution at room temperature. The experimental adsorption capacity of the L-MOF-1 adsorbent towards CR reached up to about 12 000 mg g-1 in 20 min in the pH range of 2.2-4.7, which is the best adsorbent with the highest capacity and fastest adsorption of CR to date. The spontaneous adsorption process can be described by the pseudo-second-order kinetic and Langmuir isotherm models. Meanwhile, the L-MOF-1 absorbent possessed a highly positive zeta potential in acid condition (even at pH = 2.2, zeta potential = 36.2 mV). Its good adsorption performance mainly originates from its strong electrostatic attraction with CR in acidic condition, together with diverse hydrogen bonds and ππ stacking interactions. Furthermore, the L-MOF-1 absorbent exhibited good selectivity and could be reused five times through simply washing, where its adsorption efficiency was hardly affected. Therefore, L-MOF-1 is a potential absorbent for effectively removing CR from dye wastewater.

Abstract
A porous cationic Ag(I) coordination polymer, [Ag(1,2,4,5-p4b)](SbF6) (TJNU-302) with the ligand 1,2,4,5-p4b (1,2,4,5-tetra(pyridin-4-yl)benzene), is reported that shows high sorption capacity (211 mg g-1) and distribution coefficient Kd (5.8 × 105 mL g-1) as well as outstanding selectivity in 500 times excess of CO32- or PO43- anion for perrhenate removal. TJNU-302 can act as a crystalline turn-off sensor for perrhenate upon UV radiation. In this way, a test paper strip for sensing ReO4- could be produced. In water solution, TJNU-302 shows an efficient fluorescence quenching response to ReO4- ion, with the highest quenching percentage (86%) among all reported ReO4- sensors. These results could be elucidated by the bonding properties of single-crystal structures of TJNU-302 before and after perrhenate sorption, as well as density functional theory (DFT) calculations.

Abstract
Three metal-organic frameworks {[Cd(L)(glu)]⋅3 H2 O}∞ (1), {[Cd2 (L)2 (adi)2 ]⋅5 H2 O}∞ (2) and {[Cd(L)(sub)]⋅3 H2 O⋅DMA }∞ (3) (L=pyridine-3,5-bis(5-azabenzimidazole), H2 glu=glutaric acid, H2 adi=adipic acid and H2 sub=suberic acid) were obtained under solvothermal conditions. Complex 1 shows a 2D (4,4) network constructing of Cd2 -glu and Cd-L chains. Complex 2 presents a 2-fold interpenetrating 3D framework with pcu topology. Complex 3 is a 3D framework with cds topology. Three complexes with versatile structures were obtained by changing aliphatic dicarboxylate ligands with different lengths based on a N-rich ligand. Moreover, the fluorescence measurements indicate that complex 1 is a good multifunctional chemosensor for the detection of Cr2 O7 2- and MnO4 - anions by fluorescence quenching effect, and ethylenediamine by fluorescence enhancement effect, with detection limits of 1.196 ppm, 0.551 ppm and 64.572 ppm, respectively. Both complexes 2 and 3 can selectively sense Cr2 O7 2- anion with detection limits of 1.126 ppm for 2 and 0.831 ppm for 3 by a fluorescence quenching effect.

Abstract
Through solvothermal reaction of InCl3 and tetracarboxylate ligands with different substituent groups on diphenyl ethers, three new anionic indium-organic frameworks have been successfully prepared. They are {[(CH3)2NH2]In(G-1)(H2O)}·9DMF (1), {[(CH3)2NH2]In(G-2)}·15DMF (2), and {[(CH3)2NH2]2In2(G-3)2}·16DMF (3) {DMF = N, N'-dimethylformamide; H4(G-1) = 5',5″″-oxybis(2'-methoxy[1,1':3',1″-terphenyl]-4,4″-dicarboxylic acid); H4(G-2) = 5',5″″-oxybis(2'-amino[1,1':3',1″-terphenyl]-4,4″-dicarboxylic acid); H4(G-3) = 5',5″″-oxybis([1,1':3',1″-terphenyl]-4,4″-dicarboxylic acid)}. Compounds 1-3 can be simplified as unimodal 4-connected frameworks with different topological types: lon, cag, and dia, respectively. Compounds 1 and 3 display 2-fold interpenetrating nets, while compound 2 is non-interpenetrating. Compounds 1 and 3 can adsorb cationic methylene blue (MB) with good capacity and a high adsorption rate due to their anionic frameworks and channel-type voids. In particular, compound 1 exhibits great selectivity for cationic MB in the mixtures of MB and methyl orange. In addition, the adsorption behavior of rare earth ions (Eu3+ and Tb3+) on compounds 1 and 3 has also been studied. Due to the different structural features and channel sizes of compounds 1 and 3 caused by different substituents on the ligands, the adsorption properties of rare earth ions on the two compounds are different.

Abstract
A highly water-stable MOF-based magnetic material Fe3O4@ZTB-1 has been obtained, and it exhibited an excellent adsorption capacity for Congo red. The electrostatic interactions and hydrogen bond are responsible for binding of CR with Fe3O4@ZTB-1.
