Abstract
A three-component strategy was developed to enable hydrodefluoroamination of β-trifluoromethyl enones by selectively activating two C(sp3)-F bonds in the trifluoromethyl group. The method involved a sequence of carbonyl reduction, hydrodefluorination, and defluoroamination under transition-metal-free conditions. Synthetically useful (E)-stereospecific α-fluoroenamides were obtained in good yields with diverse functional group tolerance, which could be easily transformed into valuable organofluorides and heterocycles. The carbonyl auxiliary exerts both electronic and steric impacts on the CF3-alkenes, allowing for controllable and selective defluorination.

Abstract
A practical and efficient copper-catalyzed carbocyclization of 2-functionalized anilines with ethyl bromodifluoroacetate has been developed. Ethyl bromodifluoroacetate is employed as the C1 source via quadruple cleavage in this transformation. This reaction can afford a variety of N-containing heterocyclics with satisfactory yields and excellent functional group compatibility.

Abstract
Herein we reported a directing-group assisted strategy for nickel-catalysed reductive defluorinative sulfenylation of trifluoropropionic acid derivatives with disulfides in the presence of Zn, involving triple C-F bond cleavage. This process yielded a diverse array of carbonyl-sulfide di-substituted alkenes in moderate to good yields with good functional group tolerance. Specifically, the reactions exhibited high E-selectivity with E/Z ratio up to >99 : 1.

Abstract
An efficient and selective transformation of 2,2,2-trifluoroethyl carbonyls into ureas/amides with amines is reported. This protocol allows the selective cleavage of the C-C bond of 2,2,2-trifluoroethyl carbonyls under transition metal-free and oxidant-free conditions, which is in contrast to the analogous C-F or C-CF3 bond functionalization. This reaction reveals the unexplored reactivity of 2,2,2-trifluoroethyl carbonyls and exhibits a broad substrate range and good functional group tolerance.
