Abstract
Catalyzed by Rh2(esp)2 (10 mol%) and (±)-BINAP (20 mol%) in DCE at 80 °C, the cascade assembly between diazobarbiturates and alkylidene pyrazolones proceeded readily and produced spiro-furopyrimidines in 38-96% chemical yields. The chemical structure of the prepared spirofuro-pyrimidines was firmly confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis.

Abstract
We describe a Xantphos-containing dinuclear palladium complex-enabled geminal aminoallylation of diazocarbonyl compounds, which selectively provides a range of quaternary α-amino esters. Direct N-H insertion, allylic alkylation of amino nucleophiles, and diene formation were not observed under standard conditions. Mechanistic studies indicated that a relayed pathway via allylation of the N-H insertion product or [2,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement of an ylide intermediate was unlikely.

Abstract
A palladium-catalyzed 1,4-carboamination of bromoarenes with diazo compounds and amines was developed. This reaction proceeds through a palladium-carbene that then generates a π-benzylpalladium intermediate, forming ipso C-C and para C-N bonds on bromoarenes in a regioselective manner. The successful application of this transformation to the rapid synthesis of an antitumor agent demonstrates its synthetic utility.

Abstract
AbstractHomologation of alkyl acetates, alkyl ethers, acetals, and ketals was accomplished via formal insertion of diazo esters into carbon–carbon σ-bonds. The combined Lewis acid InI3 with Me3SiBr catalyzed the homologation of alkyl acetates and alkyl ethers. That of acetals and ketals was catalyzed solely by the use of InBr3. The key point of the homologation mechanism is that the indium-based Lewis acids have the appropriate amount of Lewis acidity to achieve both the abstraction and release of leaving groups. The abstraction of a leaving group by an indium-based Lewis acid and the electrophilic addition of carbocation or oxonium intermediates to diazo esters followed by the rearrangement of carbon substituents provide the corresponding cation intermediates. Finally, the leaving group that is captured by the Lewis acid bonds with cation intermediates to furnish the homologated products.

Abstract
Pyrazole cores are common structural motifs existing in various agrochemicals and pharmaceuticals. Herein, a transition metal-free, three-component reaction of arylaldehydes, ethyl acrylate and N-tosylhydrazones is described, which leads to the formation of 1,3,5-trisubstituted and 1,3-disubstituted pyrazoles divergently under slightly different conditions.

Abstract
A palladium-catalyzed cascade reaction of ortho-vinyl bromobenzenes with N-tosylhydrazones has been developed, which provides a facile approach to 2,2-disubstituted 2H-chromenes. The migration of palladium from the aryl to vinyl position is crucial, as the in situ produced vinyl palladium intermediate could further react with diazo compounds to generate the reactive species for the sequential annulation.

Abstract
Reported herein is an unprecedented synthesis of isoxazolines and oxazines through electrochemical intermolecular annulation of alkenes with tert-butyl nitrite, in which diazo compounds serve as radical acceptors. Notably, [2 + 1 + 2] and [2 + 1 + 3] annulations occur when styrenes and allylbenzenes are used as substrates, respectively. The latter reaction undergoes group migration to form more stable radical, manifesting radical route instead of conventional 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition occurs. Moreover, scale-up experiments suggest the potential application value of these transformations in industry.

Abstract
A catalytic, metal-free O-H bond insertion of α-diazoesters in water in the presence of B(C6F5)3· nH2O (2 mol %) was developed, affording a series of α-hydroxyesters in good to excellent yields. The reaction features easy operation and wide substrate scope, and importantly, no metal is needed as compared with the conventional methods. Significantly, this approach further expands the applications of B(C6F5)3 under water-tolerant conditions.

Abstract
An efficient transition-metal-free fluoroarylation reaction of N-aryl diazoacetamides with NFSI (N-fluorobenzenesulfonimide) is described. This reaction directly provides 3-fluorooxindole derivatives in yields of 67-93% with high selectivity via a carbene-free process under mild reaction conditions.
