Abstract
An efficient, mild, and novel route is developed to synthesize sulfonylurea via the nickel-catalyzed tandem coupling of sulfonyl azide, isocyanide, and water in aqueous media. The sulfonyl azide is expected to act as a nitrene precursor, which upon reaction with isocyanide generates carbodiimide. Herein, water acts as a nucleophile and reacts with carbodiimide to deliver the product. The protocol uses an inexpensive nickel catalyst, environmentally friendly water (as the nucleophile), and room temperature and provides products in moderate to good yields.

Abstract
For the first time, an eco-friendly and sustainable tandem [5C + 1C] cycloaromatization of α-alkenoyl ketene dithioacetals and nitroethane in water for the efficient synthesis of ortho-acylphenols was reported. In refluxing water, a range of α-alkenoyl ketene dithioacetals and nitroethane smoothly underwent tandem Michael addition/cyclization/aromatization reactions in the presence of 2.0 equivalents of DBU to provide various ortho-acylphenols in excellent yields. The green approach to ortho-acylphenols not only avoided the use of harmful organic solvents, which could result in serious environmental and safety issues, but also exhibited fascinating features such as good substrate scope, excellent yields, simple purification for desired products, ease of scale-up, and reusable aqueous medium.

Abstract
A unified approach has been developed for the synthesis of both isourea and isothiourea in a three-component coupling reaction by treating alcohols or thiols respectively with N,N-dibromoarylsulfonamides and isonitrile and in the presence of K2CO3. This metal-free process proceeds via carbodiimide intermediate at room temperature within a very short reaction time. A library of sulfonylisoureas and isothioureas has been made using this synthetic protocol with wide substrate scope in good to high yields.

Abstract
A new class of actinide complexes [(L)An(N{SiMe3}2)3] (An = Th or U) (Th1-Th3 and U1-U3) supported by highly nucleophilic seven-membered N-heterocyclic iminato ligands were synthesized and fully characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. These complexes were successfully exploited as powerful catalysts for the addition of alcohols to carbodiimides to yield the corresponding desirable isourea products at room temperature with short reaction times and excellent yields. Thorough stoichiometric, thermodynamic, and kinetic studies were carried out, allowing us to propose a plausible mechanism for the catalytic reaction.
