Abstract
A copper-catalyzed chemo- and stereoselective method for the synthesis of (E)-2-silyl-1,3-butadienes from a broad range of allenols using mild Si-B reagents is reported in this study. Our protocol required a short reaction time at ambient temperature to produce the desired dienes in high yields. Synthetic applications are highlighted by the one-pot synthesis of tetrasubstituted arylsilanes from allenols as well as the further functionalization of C-Si bonds.

Abstract
Propargyl silanes with a terminal alkyne moiety undergo a 1,2-silyl shift when activated with electrophiles such as H+, Br+, I+, and PhSe+. A method was developed to trap 1,3-transposed electrophilic centers with various internal O-, N-, and S-nucleophiles in a 5-exo manner. This synthetic procedure provided five-membered heterocycles containing a trisubstituted olefin side chain. The scope of the method includes access to tetrahydrofuran, γ-butyrolactone, 2-isooxazoline, pyrrolidine, and thiolane derivatives in yields ranging from 25 to 85% (23 examples in total). Reactions with TsNBr2 ensured complete (E)-selectivity of the newly formed olefins. Further functionalization of the obtained 1-trialkylsilyl-2-bromovinyl side chain was demonstrated by double-bond geometry-preserving electrophilic substitution and cross-coupling reactions that provided heterocycles with a trisubstituted vinyl moiety.

Abstract
Terminal alkynes with a silyl group at the propargylic position upon activation with electrophiles such as N-bromosuccinimide undergo (E)-selective 1,2-silyl group migration. Subsequently, an allyl cation is formed that is intercepted by an external nucleophile. This approach provides allyl ethers and esters with stereochemically defined vinyl halide and silane handles for further functionalization. The scope of propargyl silanes and electrophile-nucleophile pairs are investigated, and various trisubstituted olefins are prepared in up to 78% yield. The obtained products have been demonstrated to serve as building blocks for transition-metal-catalyzed cross-couplings of vinyl halides, silicon-halogen exchange, and allyl acetate functionalization reactions.

Abstract
SN2 rection between 4-(tert-butyldimethylsilyl)hex-5-yn-1-yl 4-methylbenzenesulfonate and NaN3 in DMF at 80 °C provided (6-azidohex-1-yn-3-yl)(tert-butyl)dimethylsilane intermediate, which underwent in situ intramolecular thermal Huisgen azide–alkyne cycloaddition reaction. This one-pot process gave 4-(tert-butyldimethylsilyl)-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-[1,2,3]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridine in 78% yield.

Abstract
A cationic gold(I)-catalyzed asymmetric [3,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement of sulfonium leads after cyclization to cyclopentenones with a C4-quaternary stereocenter. Starting with simple vinyl sulfoxides and propargyl silane, numerous compounds were isolated with moderate to good yields and excellent enantiomeric excesses (26 examples). The application of this simple methodology allowed the efficient total synthesis of five natural sesquiterpenoids, including enokipodin A and B, hitoyopodin A, lagopodin A, and isocuparene-3,4-diol.

Abstract
A practical protocol for the regioselective preparation of 3-phenylpropargylsilanes and 3-phenylallylsilanes in yields of 36-77 and 48-86%, respectively, from readily accessible 3-phenylpropargyl and 1-phenylallyl pivalates was developed through reductive C(sp3)-O bond cleavage. This method represents the first example of the direct application of vastly abundant calcium granules to a reductive coupling reaction. A broad range of propargylsilanes and allylsilanes are simply prepared using easy-to-handle pivalates and chlorotrimethylsilane under mild catalyst-free and additive-free conditions.

Abstract
The ability of silicon to stabilize vinyl cationic species leads to a redox arylation of alkynes whereby the stringent limitations of reactivity and regioselectivity of alkyl-substituted alkynes are lifted. This allows the synthesis of a range of α-silyl-α'-arylketones under mild conditions in good to excellent yields and with high functional group tolerance, whereby the silicon moiety in the final products can either be removed for a formal acetone monoarylation transform, or capitalized upon for subsequent electrophilic substitutions at either side of the carbonyl group.
