Abstract
A simple and efficient strategy for the synthesis of structurally diverse β,β-diarylmethine substituted isoxazoline derivatives have been developed. This approach employs a manganese-promoted oxidative cyclization coupled with a 1,6-conjugate addition of unsaturated oximes to p-quinone methides. The key features of this study include the formation of C-O and C-C bonds through intramolecular and intermolecular interactions, facilitated by in situ generated iminoxyl radicals. β,β-diarylmethine substituted isoxazolines, bearing a wide range of functional groups, were isolated in high yields.

Abstract
Herein, we describe an electrochemical method for the synthesis of haloalkenyl chalcogenides from internal alkynes using hydrobromic and hydrochloric acids as halogenating agents, with the sole byproduct being hydrogen gas. This e-halochalcogenation protocol generates electrophilic chalcogenium species under mild conditions in a simple, undivided cell setup, enabling the synthesis of 25 examples of chloro- and bromovinyl selenides and sulfides with yields ranging from 10 % to 94 %, predominantly as the E-isomer. The synthetic utility of the halovinyl chalcogenides was demonstrated through various transformations, yielding densely functionalized tetra-substituted olefins. This underscores the versatility and efficiency of our method in assembling intricate molecular frameworks.

Abstract
An in situ generated photoactive copper(I)-complex-catalyzed aziridination reaction of cyclic N-sulfonyl imines with α-aryl-substituted vinyl azides irradiated by blue-LEDs light is reported for the first time. This novel SET process represents a mild, sustainable, and pragmatic method for accessing synthetically resourceful sulfamidate-fused aziridines in acceptable chemical yields with excellent diastereoselectivities. Delightedly, pharmacologically attractive benzo[f][1,2,3]oxathiazepine dioxides and fused isoxazoline frameworks were achieved through our newly developed metal-free based ring-expansion techniques, highlighting the synthetic value of accessed aziridines. Finally, the possible mechanism for [2+1] aza-cyclization was presented based on the conduction of a series of control experiments.

Abstract
Selenium, originally described as a toxin, turns out to be a crucial trace element for life that appears as selenocysteine and its dimer, selenocystine. From the point of view of drug developments, selenium-containing drugs are isosteres of sulfur and oxygen with the advantage that the presence of the selenium atom confers antioxidant properties and high lipophilicity, which would increase cell membrane permeation leading to better oral bioavailability. In this article, we have focused on the relevant features of the selenium atom, above all, the corresponding synthetic approaches to access a variety of organoselenium molecules along with the proposed reaction mechanisms. The preparation and biological properties of selenosugars, including selenoglycosides, selenonucleosides, selenopeptides, and other selenium-containing compounds will be treated. We have attempted to condense the most important aspects and interesting examples of the chemistry of selenium into a single article.

Abstract
In this work, a novel compound N-(3-(4-methoxyphenyl)isoxazolin-5-yl)methylsaccharin has been synthesized. The molecular structure of the compound was determined using various spectroscopic techniques and confirmed by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. In the single crystal, C–H…O hydrogen bonds between neighboring molecules form chains along the a-axis direction. Hirshfeld surface analysis indicates that the most important contributions to the crystal packing are from H…H (35.7%), H…O/O…H (33.7%), and H…C/C…H (13%) interactions. The optimized structure calculated using density functional theory at the B3LYP/6–311 G(d,p) level is compared with the experimentally determined structure in the solid state. The calculated highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) energy gap is 4.9266 eV.

Design and synthesis of adamantyl-substituted flavonoid derivatives as anti-inflammatory Nur77 modulators: Compound B7 targets Nur77 and improves LPS-induced inflammation in vitro and in vivo. Abstract
In continuing our study on discovering new Nur77-targeting anti-inflammatory agents with natural skeletons, we combined adamantyl group and hydroxamic acid moiety with flavonoid nucleus, synthesized three series of flavonoid derivatives with a similar structure like CD437, and evaluated their activities against LPS-induced inflammation. Compound B7 was found to be an excellent Nur77 binder (Kd = 3.55 × 10-7 M) and a potent inhibitor of inflammation, which significantly decreased the production of cytokines in vitro, such as NO, IL-6, IL-1β, and TNF-α, at concentrations of 1.25, 2.5, and 5 μM. Mechanistically, B7 modulated the colocalization of Nur77 at mitochondria and inhibited the lipopolysaccharides (LPS)-induced inflammation via the blockade of NF-κB activation in a Nur77-dependent manner. Additionally, B7 showed in vivo anti-inflammatory activity in the LPS-induced mice model of acute lung injury (ALI). These data suggest that the Nur77-targeting flavonoid derivatives can be particularly useful for further pharmaceutical development for the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as ALI.

Abstract
In the present study, following a one-pot two-step protocol, we have synthesized novel sulfonamides-isoxazolines hybrids (3a-r) via a highly regioselective 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition. The present methodology capitalized on trichloroisocyanuric acid (TCCA) as a safe and ecological oxidant and chlorinating agent for the in-situ conversion of aldehydes to nitrile oxides in the presence of hydroxylamine hydrochloride, under ultrasound activation. These nitrile oxides could be engaged in 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions with various alkene to afford the targeted sulfonamides-isoxazolines hybrids (3a-r). The latter were assessed for their antineoplastic activity against model leukemia cell lines (Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, K562 and Promyelocytic Leukemia, HL-60).

Abstract
N-Tosylhydrazones have proven to be versatile synthons over the past several decades. However, to our knowledge, the construction of isoxazolines based on N-tosylhydrazones has not been examined. Herein, we report the first demonstrations of [2 + 2 + 1] cycloaddition reactions that allow the facile synthesis of isoxazolines, employing N-tosylhydrazones, tert-butyl nitrite (TBN) and alkenes as reactants. This process represents a new type of cycloaddition reaction with a distinct mechanism that does not involve the participation of nitrile oxides. This approach is both general and practical and exhibits a wide substrate scope, nearly universal functional group compatibility, tolerance of moisture and air, the potential for functionalization of complex bioactive molecules and is readily scaled up. Both control experiments and theoretical calculations indicate that this transformation proceeds via the in situ generation of a nitronate from the coupling of N-tosylhydrazone and TBN, followed by cycloaddition with an alkene and subsequent elimination of a tert-butyloxy group to give the desired isoxazoline.

Abstract
A new copper-catalyzed two-component amino-benzoyloxylation of unactivated alkenes of unsaturated ketoximes with O-benzoylhydroxylamines as the benzoyloxy sources is developed. Chemoselectivity of this method toward amino-benzoyloxylation or oxy-benzoyloxylation of alkenyl ketoximes relies on the position of the tethered olefins, and provides an external-oxidant-free alkene difunctionalization route that directly utilizes O-benzoylhydroxylamines as the benzoyloxy radical precursors and internal oxidants for the divergent synthesis of cyclic nitrones and isoxazolines.

Abstract
In this work, we present a simple way to achieve 4-arylselanyl-1H-1,2,3-triazoles from selenium-containing carbinols in a one-pot strategy. The selenium-containing carbinols were used as starting materials to produce a range of selanyl-triazoles in moderate to good yields, including a quinoline and Zidovudine derivatives. One-pot protocols are crucial to the current concerns about waste production and solvent consumption, avoiding the isolation and purification steps of the reactive terminal selanylalkynes. We could also isolate an interesting and unprecedented by-product with one alkynylselenium moiety connected to the triazole.

Synthesis and discovery of ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid- alkanolamine (PUFA-AA) derivatives as anti-inflammatory agents targeting Nur77. Bioorg Chem 2020; 105:104456. Abstract
In this work, three series of ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid-alkanolamine derivatives (PUFA-AAs) were synthesized, characterized and their anti-inflammatory activity in vivo was evaluated. Compounds 4a, 4f, and 4k exhibited marked anti-inflammatory activity in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. The most promising compound 4k dose-dependently suppressed the cytokines with IC50 values in the low micromolar range. Further, 4k exhibited potential in vitro Nur77-binding affinity (Kd = 6.99 × 10-6 M) which is consistent with the result of docking studies. Next, the anti-inflammatory mechanism of 4k was found to be through NF-κB signal pathway in a Nur77-dependent manner. Moreover, we also observed 4k significantly inhibited LPS-induced expression of cytokines (IL-6, TNF-α, and IL-1β) through suppressing NF-κB activation and attenuated LPS-induced inflammation in mouse acute lung injury (ALI) model. In conclusion, the study strongly suggests that the PUFA-AA derivatives can be particularly as new Nur77 mediators for further treatment in inflammatory diseases.

Abstract
N-Oxyl radicals (compounds with an N-O• fragment) represent one of the richest families of stable and persistent organic radicals with applications ranging from catalysis of selective oxidation processes and mechanistic studies to production of polymers, energy storage, magnetic materials design and spectroscopic studies of biological objects. Compared to other N-oxyl radicals, oxime radicals (or iminoxyl radicals) have been underestimated for a long time as useful intermediates for organic synthesis, despite the fact that their precursors, oximes, are extremely widespread and easily available organic compounds. Furthermore, oxime radicals are structurally exceptional. In these radicals, the N-O• fragment is connected to an organic moiety by a double bond, whereas all other classes of N-oxyl radicals contain an R2N-O• fragment with two single C-N bonds. Although oxime radicals have been known since 1964, their broad synthetic potential was not recognized until the last decade, when numerous selective reactions of oxidative cyclization, functionalization, and coupling mediated by iminoxyl radicals were discovered. This review is focused on the synthetic methods based on iminoxyl radicals developed in the last ten years and also contains some selected data on previous works regarding generation, structure, stability, and spectral properties of these N-oxyl radicals. The reactions of oxime radicals are classified into intermolecular (oxidation by oxime radicals, oxidative C-O coupling) and intramolecular. The majority of works are devoted to intramolecular reactions of oxime radicals. These reactions are classified into cyclizations involving C-H bond cleavage and cyclizations involving a double C=C bond cleavage.
