Abstract
Multistimuli-responsive fluorescent gelsbased small molecular gelator by supramolecular assembly, possessing excellent dynamic and reversible characteristic, have caused much concern. In this article, aggregation-induced emission-active fluorescence gels (AIE-gels) with chirality were developed by combining Cu nanoclusters (CuNCs) and natural amino acids, l-tryptophan (l-Trp) or d-Tryptophan (d-Trp). In DMSO/H2O mixed solvents, CuNCs can self-assemble to form intertwined fibersbased nanoparticles with numerous pores by introducing Zn2+. Fibers as second networks of heteronetwork structures are characterized with the participation of l-Trp or d-Trp for cross-linking to reinforce mechanical strength and chiral regulation of gel networks. Aggregation-induced emission enhancement (AIEE) of CuNCs endows the gels with excellent fluorescent properties by introducing solvents and gelation process. The fluorescent gels exhibit sufficient fluorescence intensity (FI) at -20 °C to -80 °C and possess sensitive responsibility including gel-sol transition and fluorescence behavior for stimuli of mechanical force, heating, pH, H2O2, and ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA).

Abstract
Self-assembly peptide-based hydrogels are well known and popular in biomedical applications due to the fact that they are readily controllable and have biocompatibility properties. A dipeptide is the shortest self-assembling motif of peptides. Due to its small size and simple synthesis method, dipeptide can provide a simple and easy-to-use method to study the mechanism of peptides' self-assembly. This review describes the design and structures of self-assembly linear dipeptide hydrogels. The strategies for preparing the new generation of linear dipeptide hydrogels can be divided into three categories based on the modification site of dipeptide: 1) COOH-terminal and N-terminal modified dipeptide, 2) C-terminal modified dipeptide, and 3) uncapped dipeptide. With a deeper understanding of the relationship between the structures and properties of dipeptides, we believe that dipeptide hydrogels have great potential application in preparing minimal biocompatible materials.

Abstract
Supramolecular polymer formed by non-covalent interactions between complementary building blocks entraps solvents and develops supramolecular polymer gel. A supramolecular polymer gel was prepared by the heating-cooling cycle of β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) and naphthalenedimide (NDI) solution in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF). The host-guest inclusion complex of β-CD and NDI 1 containing dodecyl amine forms the supramolecular polymer and gel in DMF. However, β-CD and NDI 2, having glutamic acid, fail to form the supramolecular polymer and gel under the same condition. X-ray crystallography shows that the alkyl chains of NDI 1 are complementary to the hydrophobic cavity of the two β-CD units. From rheology, the storage modulus was approximately 1.5 orders of magnitude larger than the loss modulus, which indicates the physical crosslink and elastic nature of the thermo-responsive gel. FE-SEM images of the supramolecular polymer gel exhibit flake-like morphology and a dense flake network. The flakes developed from the assembly of smaller rods. Photophysical studies show that the host-guest complex formation and gelation have significantly enhanced emission intensity with a new hump at 550 nm. Upon excitation by a 366 nm UV-light, NDI 1 and β-CD gel in DMF shows white light emission. The gel has the potential for the fabrication of organic electronic devices.

Abstract
The development of photoluminescent (PL) systems, displaying multiple stimuli-responsive emission color tuning, has been the pressing priority in the recent times due to their huge role in contemporary lighting and anticounterfeiting technologies. Acknowledging this importance, we present a simple and eco-friendly PL system showing emission color tuning in response to different stimuli, that is, the composition of the system, pH, excitation wavelength, and the temperature with the plus point of getting significantly pure white light emission (WLE). The novel system is fabricated from the aqueous mixture of three organic fluorophores, umbelliferone (UMB), fluorescein (FLU), and Rhodamine-B (RB). By varying the fluorophore composition in the mixture at pH 12, nearly pure WLE with a Commission Internationale d'Eclairage (CIE) 1931 profile of (0.33, 0.33) was obtained at the excitation wavelength of 365 nm, the sustainability of which was ensured by employing the micellar self-assemblies of tetradecyltrimethylammonium bromide (TTAB) molecules. Similar WLE was obtained under mildly acidic conditions (pH 6) but at the excitation wavelength of 330 nm. By proper tuning of pH and the wavelengths of the system to use it as a fluorescent ink, we found a remarkable and highly applicable phenomenon observed for the first time, that is, triple-mode orthogonal emission color tuning with white light ON/OFF switching. We validate the vital applicability of this phenomenon in protecting the authenticity of the document with its hard-to-counterfeit property. The applicability of this phenomenon is also explored by synthesizing PVA-based fluorescent films from the tri-fluorophore mixture. Moreover, the emission color of the PL system was explored lucidly for its temperature dependence owing to the thermal responsiveness of RB emission, where the PL system proves to be a full-color RGB system.

Abstract
Mica is a naturally abundant layered silicate mineral that has higher strength than other layered silicate minerals, but its inherent brittleness limits its application in some fields. In this work, mica was ultrasonically exfoliated into a single-layered nanomaterial after thermal activation, acidification, sodium replacement, and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) intercalation and then modified with ureido-pyrimidinone (UPy)-based PEG chains. Vacuum-assisted self-assembly was used to construct supramolecularly modified single-layered mica into bulk materials, in which the mica nanosheets were stacked into mica paper. The reversible quadruple hydrogen-bonded UPy moieties provided a high binding constant and significantly improved the strength and toughness of the obtained mica paper. These force-induced assembled mica papers showed significantly improved tensile strength and toughness compared with pure mica paper and simultaneously maintained the heat resistance of the mica materials, which may be good candidates for the substrates of flexible sensors working at higher temperatures.

Abstract
Thermally stable dual emission followed by white-light luminescence from hybrid materials is reported. Hybrid films were prepared with a spin-coating method with the mixture solution containing tetraphenylethene (TPE)-integrated polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) and poly[2-methoxy-5-(2'-ethylhexyloxy)-1,4-phenylene vinylene] (MEH-PPV). TPE-tethered POSS (TPE-POSS) showed high compatibility with MEH-PPV. Therefore, homogeneous films with variable concentrations of TPE-POSS were obtained. Owing to good dispersion of rigid silica cubes into matrices, POSS-containing films demonstrated high thermal stability toward molecular rearrangement by annealing as well as pyrolysis, similar to conventional polymer hybrids. Furthermore, it was found that TPE-POSS was able to enhance emission efficiencies, probably by suppressing chain aggregation. By modulating introduction ratios of TPE-POSS, dual-emission properties followed by white-light luminescence composed of cyan and orange emissions from TPE-POSS and MEH-PPV, respectively, were accomplished. It should be noted that these color balances can be preserved even in the high-temperature region (425 K). Finally, white-light luminescent materials with thermal durability were obtained.

Abstract
Inorganic-organic optical probe based on lanthanide emission will provide a new way for specific applications. In this work, sarcosine and urea are selected as raw materials to synthesize carbon dots with cyan-emissive color. In the next step, indicator components (Ethylene Diamine Tetraacetic Acid and lanthanide ions) are incorporated onto carbon quantum dots (CQDs) and the flexible alginate hydrogel is employed as the host to accommodate the emissive species. The soft material can exhibit typical red and green emissions. Its luminescence is responsive to calcium ions and the detection limit has been calculated to be 0.84 μM and 0.92 μM respectively. Such optical device can be employed as a portable probe in a variety of scientific fields due to its convenience and flexibility.

Abstract
Recently, there is incredible growth on optoelectronic properties of new supramolecular gels and white-light-emitting (WLE) metalo-organic gel comprised with single lanthanide metal ion having stimuli-responsive property is not yet reported. Here, we report a mandelic acid (MA)-triethylene tetraamine (TETA)-Eu-acetate conjugate (4.5:1:0.4 mol ratio), producing stimuli-sensitive WLE hydrogel exhibiting thermoreversible, thixotropic, pH-switchable, self-standing and self-healing properties. Energy minimized structure suggests complexation between MA-TETA conjugate and Eu3+ ion. Fluorescence intensity of MA-TETA conjugate decreases with increasing Eu3+ concentration indicating energy transfer from MA-TETA to Eu3+. Decay of donor fluorescence intensity follows Stern-Volmer equation and energy transfer efficiency is 42%. WLE gel has Quantum yield 11.4% and Förster distance 1.7 Å. Hydrogel and xerogel show WLE on excitation at 330 and 350 nm having CIE coordinates (0.34, 0.33) and (0.28, 0.32), respectively. WLE gel has Correlated colour temperature 5148 K, appropriate for cool day light emission and on coating over UV-LED bulb it emits bright white light.
