Abstract
The acceptorless dehydrogenative cross-coupling of primary alcohols to form cross-esters with the liberation of H2 gas was enabled using a [RuCl(η6-C6H6)(κ2-CNP)][PF6]Cl complex as the catalyst. This sustainable protocol is applicable to a broad range of primary alcohols, particularly for the sterically demanding ones, featuring good functional group tolerance and high selectivity. The good catalytic performance can be attributed to the nitrogen-phosphine-functionalized N-heterocyclic carbene (CNP) ligand, which adopts a facial coordination mode as well as the facile dissociation of coordinated benzene.

Abstract
An unexpected cleavage of the Csp3-CF3 bond of CF3-hydrobenzoxazoles has been disclosed, affording a range of 2-aryl benzoxazoles under metal-free and redox-neutral conditions. This transformation has demonstrated broad substrate scope and good compatibility of functional groups. 2-Aryl benzothiazole and 2-aryl benzoimidazole could be smoothly assembled in the same manner. On the basis of preliminary mechanistic studies, base initiated and aromatization driven β-carbon elimination was considered to be the key step for the formation of 2. This reaction offers an alternative, facile, and sustainable route to access important 2-aryl benzoxazole motifs.

Abstract
Heterocycles have been found to be of much importance as several nitrogen- and oxygen-containing heterocycle compounds exist amongst the various USFDA-approved drugs. Because of the advancement of nanotechnology, nanocatalysis has found abundant applications in the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds. Numerous nanoparticles (NPs) have been utilized for several organic transformations, which led us to make dedicated efforts for the complete coverage of applications of metal nanoparticles (MNPs) in the synthesis of heterocyclic scaffolds reported from 2010 to 2019. Our emphasize during the coverage of catalyzed reactions of the various MNPs such as Ag, Au, Co, Cu, Fe, Ni, Pd, Pt, Rh, Ru, Si, Ti, and Zn has not only been on nanoparticles catalyzed synthetic transformations for the synthesis of heterocyclic scaffolds, but also provide an inherent framework for the reader to select a suitable catalytic system of interest for the synthesis of desired heterocyclic scaffold.

Abstract
In this contribution, we provide a comprehensive overview of C-H activation methods promoted by NHC-transition metal complexes, covering the literature since 2002 (the year of the first report on metal-NHC-catalyzed C-H activation) through June 2019, focusing on both NHC ligands and C-H activation methods. This review covers C-H activation reactions catalyzed by group 8 to 11 NHC-metal complexes. Through discussing the role of NHC ligands in promoting challenging C-H activation methods, the reader is provided with an overview of this important area and its crucial role in forging carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bonds by directly engaging ubiquitous C-H bonds.

Abstract
A new family of ferrocenyl-palladacycle complexes Pd(L1)Cl (Pd1) and Pd(L2)Cl (Pd2) were synthesized and characterized by UV-visible, IR, ESI-MS, and NMR spectral studies. The molecular structures of Pd1 and Pd2 were determined by X-ray crystallographic studies. Palladacycle catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions were investigated utilizing the derivatives of phenylboronic acids and substituted chlorobenzenes. Mechanistic investigation authenticated the generation of Pd(0) nanoparticles during the catalytic cycle and the nanoparticles were characterized by XPS, SEM and TEM analysis. Direct C-H arylation of thiazole and isoxazole derivatives employing these ferrocenyl-palladacycle complexes was examined. The reaction model for the arylation reaction implicating the in situ generation of Pd(0) nanoparticles was proposed.

Abstract
Unsymmetrical pincers have been shown to be better than the corresponding symmetrical pincers in several catalysis reactions. A new unsymmetrical PNN propincer, 2-(3,5-dimethylpyrazolylmethyl)-5-(diphenylphosphinomethyl)pyrrole (1), was synthesized from pyrrole through Mannich bases in a good yield. In addition, the new byproduct 2-(3,5-dimethylpyrazolylmethyl)-5-(dimethylaminomethyl)- N-(hydroxymethyl)pyrrole was also isolated. The reaction of 1 with [PdCl2(PhCN)2] and Et3N in toluene yielded [PdCl{C4H2N-2-(CH2Me2pz)-5-(CH2PPh2)-κ3 P,N,N}] (2). The analogous reaction between 1 and [NiCl2(DME)] or NiX2 (X = Br, I) in the presence of NEt3 in acetonitrile afforded [NiX{C4H2N-2-(CH2Me2pz)-5-(CH2PPh2)-κ3 P,N,N}] (3; X = Cl, Br, I). All complexes were structurally characterized. The norbornene polymerization behaviors of the unsymmetrical pincer complexes 2 and 3 in the presence of MMAO or EtAlCl2 were compared with those of the symmetrical pincer complexes chloro[2,5-bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazolylmethyl)pyrrolido]palladium(II) (NNN), chloro[2,5-bis(diphenylphosphinomethyl)pyrrolido]palladium(II), and chloro[2,5-bis(diphenylphosphinomethyl)pyrrolido]nickel(II) (PNP) at different temperatures. The PNN and NNN complexes exhibited far greater activity on the order of 107 g of PNB/mol/h, with quantitative yields in some cases, in comparison to the PNP pincer palladium and nickel complexes. This trend was also supported by the iPr group substituted PNP nickel and palladium pincer complexes. These polymerization behaviors are explained using steric crowding around the metal atom with the support of NMR studies and suggested that the activity increases as the Npyrazole donor increases. Polymers were characterized by 1H NMR, IR, TGA, and powder XRD methods.
