Abstract
The precise synthesis of ultrasmall, monodisperse CsPbBr3 nanocrystals is crucial due to their enhanced photophysical properties resulting from strong quantum confinement effects. Traditional methods struggle with size control, complicating synthesis. Although CsPbBr3 nanocrystals find applications in LEDs and photovoltaics, their use in photocatalysis for organic reactions remains limited. Our study introduces ultrasmall TBIA-CsPbBr3 nanocrystals (∼5.6 nm), synthesized via a three-precursor hot injection method using tribromoisocyanuric acid (TBIA) as a bromine precursor for the first time. These nanocrystals exhibit a near-unity photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of 0.99 and an elevated oxidation potential of +1.80 V. We demonstrate their efficacy as recyclable heterogeneous photocatalysts in a one-pot, 100% E-selective, anti-Markovnikov sulfinylsulfonation of terminal alkynes under visible light, achieving a high product conversion rate (PCR) of 62,500 μmol g-1 h-1 and recyclability for up to five cycles. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations support the exclusive formation of the E-isomer. TBIA-CsPbBr3 outperforms other CsPbBr3 perovskites in photocatalysis, with superior efficiency attributed to their extended excited-state lifetime and higher surface area, which accelerates the organic transformation process.

Abstract
The first photocatalytic trichloromethyl radical-triggered annulative reactions of amide-linked 1,7-diynes with polyhalomethanes were established for the flexible assembly of functionalized quinolin-2(1H)-ones with generally acceptable yields. With the installation of the aryl group (R1) into the alkynyl moiety, C-center radical-initiated Kharasch-type addition/nucleophilic substitution/elimination cascade to produce quinolin-2(1H)-ones-incorporating gem-dihaloalkene, whereas three examples of polyhalogenated quinolin-2(1H)-ones were afforded when amide-linked 1,7-diynes bearing two terminal alkyne units were subjected to BrCX3 by exploiting dry acetonitrile as a solvent.

Abstract
The trifluoromethylacyl group (-COCF3) is an important motif and widely studied in catalysis, medicinal chemistry, and materials science. Herein, a novel palladium-catalyzed selenofluoroalkylacylation of terminal alkynes with commercially available fluoroalkyl anhydride and diorganyl diselenides to afford β-seleno and aryl/alkyl disubstituted enones under mild conditions is disclosed. In addition, selenodifluoroacetylations and selenoperfluoroacetylations are also suitable for this reaction. Mechanistic studies reveal that this reaction proceeds via an oxidative radical-polar crossover process.

Abstract
Photocatalytic organic functionalization reactions represent a green, cost-effective, and sustainable synthesis route for value-added chemicals. However, heterogeneous photocatalysis is inefficient in directly activating ammonia molecules for the production of high-value-added nitrogenous organic products when compared with oxygen activation in the formation of related oxygenated compounds. In this study, we report the heterogeneous photosynthesis of benzonitriles by the ammoxidation of benzyl alcohols (99 % conversion, 93 % selectivity) promoted using BiOBr nanosheets with surface vacancy associates. In contrast, the main reaction of catalysts with other types of vacancy sites is the oxidation of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde or benzoic acid. Experimental measurements and theoretical calculations have demonstrated a specificity of vacancy type with respect to product selectivity, which arises from the adsorption and activation of NH3 and O2 that is required to promote subsequent C-N coupling and oxidation to nitrile. This study provides a better understanding of the role of vacancies as catalytic sites in heterogeneous photocatalysis.

Abstract
Selective oxidation of cyclohexane to cyclohexanol/cyclohexanone (KA-oil) is an important chemical process, which is still constrained by low conversion and selectivity and high energy consumption. In this study, Cu-doped mesoporous TiO2 (Cu-MT) has been successfully synthesized via calcinating MIL-125(Ti) doped with copper acetylacetonate, which shows high reactivity in selective oxidation of cyclohexane to KA-oil by persulfate (PS) with the desirable cyclohexane conversion of 16.8% and a selectivity of 98.0% under mild conditions and the low ratio of PS/cyclohexane of 1:1. A series of characterizations and density functional theory calculations reveal that the doped Cu(I,II) on Cu-MT is the reactive site for non-radical activation of PS with the moderate elongation of the O-O bond in PS, which then abstracts 1H (1H+ + 1e-) from cyclohexane to form Cy• and eventually KA-oil. This study gives new insight on the importance of moderately activated PS in selective oxidation of C-H.

Abstract
Photocatalytic reactions, in particular, processes without photosensitisers, have attracted increased attention due to their green aspect and high economic value and are considered valuable tools in organic synthesis. A new practical photocatalytic system was investigated in this study, and it can efficiently produce gem-dihaloenones by combining terminal alkynes with tetrahalomethanes (BrCCl3 and CBr4) and water without a photocatalyst, and the yield can reach up to 87%. The catalytic system is straightforward, the raw materials are inexpensive and easy to obtain, and the operation is simple.

Abstract
Copper-powder-catalyzed syn-selective chlorosulfonylation of readily available alkynes by an atom transfer radical addition (ATAR) process has been developed, providing straightforward access to a broad range of (Z)-β-chlorovinylsulfones in good yields under mild conditions. In addition, this method is ligand-free and features excellent stereoselectivity and high atom economy. Moreover, the product was obtained without an apparent loss of yield when the reaction was performed on the gram scale at a low catalyst loading. In this reaction, the copper powder not only acts as a sulfone radical initiator but also produces the catalytically active CuCl species. Mechanistic investigations and DFT calculation studies revealed that the stereoselectivity is controlled by the thermodynamic stabilities of the in situ-generated cyclic alkenyl CuII complex intermediate, which can serve as a chlorine atom transfer agent.

Abstract
Herein, we report the activation of the C-Br bond of CBrX3 (X = Cl, Br) using 9-mesityl-10-methylacridinium perchlorate as a visible-light (12W blue LED, 450-455 nm) photocatalyst for the synthesis of gem-dihaloenones from terminal alkynes. An electron transfer from CBrX3 to Mes-Acr-MeClO4 led to the formation of •+CBrX3 which subsequently resulted in the intermediate +CX3. Next, C-C cross-coupling of +CX3 with terminal alkynes was the key path to obtain the gem-dihaloenones. Radical trapping experiments with TEMPO, BHT, and Stern-Volmer quenching studies helped to understand that the reaction proceeded via the SET mechanism.
