Abstract
A photocatalytic sulfamoylation/5-endo-trig cyclization of (E)-N'-arylidene-N-phenylmethacrylohydrazides with sulfamoyl chlorides was developed. The chemoselective intramolecular addition of the carbon-centered radical intermediate to the CN bond in the hydrazone motif gave the sulfamoylated pyrazolin-5-one. Besides, sulfonyl chlorides are also suitable reaction partners to access sulfonylated pyrazolin-5-ones. This approach is characterized by mild reaction conditions, broad substrates scope, excellent selectivity and the late-stage modification of drug molecules.

Abstract
Herein, we report that triplet vinylnitrenes with 1,3-biradical character can directly participate in photocycloaddition reactions with olefins to produce single diastereomers of the corresponding 1-pyrrolines under 420 nm LEDs in acetonitrile solvent. Moreover, a one-pot method has been developed to produce pyrroles directly through photocycloaddition and oxidation sequences. The excited state of the substrate olefin can sensitize vinyl azide via energy transfer, eliminating the need for an external photocatalyst or sensitizer.

Abstract
A radical cascade cyclization of 2-alkynylaniline derivatives with sulfonyl chlorides was developed to construct C3-sulfone methylene-substituted indolines in yields of 21 to 85% with a broad substrate scope under metal- and base-free conditions. This protocol could simultaneously build three new chemical bonds and employ a solvent-radical relay strategy, providing a rapid and concise approach toward an indoline framework. Scale-up reactions of this method and further transformations to afford useful indolines were also demonstrated.

Abstract
A selective three-component 1,2-sulfonyl etherification of aryl 1,3-dienes enabled by copper catalysis to afford biologically interesting alkenyl 1,2-sulfone ether derivatives through C-S and C-O bond formation is described. The protocol proceeds with the sulfonyl chloride and alcohols under simple, mild, and base-free conditions, providing a straightforward route to sulfonylated allyl ether compounds with broad functional group tolerance and excellent chemo- and regioselectivity. Mechanistic studies indicate that the selective alkene difunctionalization includes a key copper-mediated single-electron transfer process.

Abstract
We report an organo-photocatalyzed carboacylation reaction that offers a springboard to create chemical complexity in a diversity-driven approach. The modular one-pot method uses feedstock aldehydes and alcohols as acyl surrogates and commercially available Eosin Y as the photoredox catalyst, making it simple and affordable to introduce structural diversity. Several biologically relevant skeletons have been easily synthesized under mild conditions in the presence of visible light irradiation by fostering a radical acylation/cyclization cascade. The proposed reaction mechanism was further illuminated by a number of spectroscopic studies. Furthermore, we applied this protocol for the late-stage functionalization of pharmaceuticals and blockbuster drugs.

Abstract
A new approach has been successfully employed to synthesize cyclic ureas via carbonylation, utilizing Boc anhydride and employing K2CO3 as a base along with N,N-dimethylformamide as the solvent. Remarkably high yields were achieved using K2CO3 in conjunction with (Boc)2O, enabling the streamlined preparation of benzimidazolones and 2-benzoxazolones within a single reaction vessel. Significantly, this approach obviates the necessity for using any dangerous reagents, rendering it environmentally friendly, and its key benefit lies in being a metal-free system. The method stands out for its efficiency, concise pathway, optimization from readily accessible starting materials, and ease of execution. The resulting benzimidazolones and 2-benzoxazolones were thoroughly characterized using techniques including LCMS, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR.

Abstract
A simple and tuned synthesis of a 2H-indazole skeleton under metal-free conditions was developed. Under visible-light irradiation at room temperature, 2-((aryl/alkyl/H)ethynyl))aryltriazenes reacted with arylsulfinic acids to afford 3-functionalized 2H-indazoles without extra photocatalyst via an electron donor-acceptor complex. In the presence of arylsulfinic acid, 2-(ethynyl)aryltriazenes underwent an intramolecular oxidation/cyclization to provide 2H-indazole-3-carbaldehydes at 50 °C in air.

Abstract
A novel 5-exo-dig/6-endo-trig bicyclization of 1,6-enynes with sulfonyl hydrazides in the aqueous phase using the cheap and available tetrabutylammonium iodide (TBAI)-tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) combined system is reported. The resulting reaction of diverse nitrogen- and oxygen-polyheterocycles displays high chemical selectivity, high step-economy, and a moderate substrate scope. Moreover, iodosulfonylation can be realized by modulating the structure of the 1,6-enynes.

Abstract
By revealing the robust photooxidant properties of phenalenyl-based organic Lewis acid, we have introduced this moiety as an effective organophotocatalyst for the oxidative azolation of unactivated and feedstock arenes. In addition to its tolerance for various functional groups and scalability, this photocatalyst was shown to be promising for the defluorinative azolation of fluoroarenes.

Abstract
Using the in situ generated triarylamine radical cation as an initiator, the sp3 C-H bond of proline esters was smoothly oxidized and brominated through C-H activation relay (CHAR), giving a series of 4-bromopyrroles in good yields with high regioselectivity. The mechanistic study revealed that the oxidation of the active C-H bond initiated the followed 1,5-HAT and bromination, which provides a new method to realize the functionalization of the remote C-H bond.

Abstract
A convenient and straightforward approach for the radical cascade cyclization/hydrolysis of CN-containing 1,6-enynes with simple ethers under metal- and base-free conditions is described. This strategy provides a variety of valuable ethers-substituted polyheterocycles via the construction of three C-C bonds, one C=O bond, and two new six-membered rings within a single procedure. The resulting products can smoothly undergo follow-up conversions to various useful scaffolds. The methodology shows excellent functional group tolerance, high step- and atom- economy, and mild reaction conditions, which can be further scaled up to gram quantity in a satisfactory yield.

Abstract
Herein, a visible-light-triggered photocatalyst-free radical cascade Minisci reaction of heteroarenes, alkenes, and water/alcohols to obtain diverse β-C(sp3) heteroarylated alcohols/ethers has been developed. Achieved under mild and simple conditions, this protocol is scalable and features broad substrate scope and functional group tolerance. Mechanistic studies demonstrate that the heteroarene can be served as a photocatalyst to engage single-electron transfer with persulfate.

Abstract
3-(2-(Ethynyl)phenyl)quinazolinones were designed and synthesized as a class of novel and efficient skeletons for phosphorylation/cyclization reactions. Under visible light irradiation, a series of phosphorylated quinolino[2,1-b]quinazolinones (35 examples, up to 87% yield) were first synthesized from 3-(2-(ethynyl)phenyl)quinazolinones and diarylphosphine oxides by using 4CzIPN as a photocatalyst under mild conditions. This reaction was also applicable under sunlight irradiation. Moreover, the reaction efficiency could be significantly improved under continuous-flow conditions.

Abstract
We report the visible-light-induced Ph3P/LiI-promoted intermolecular cascade trifluoromethyl radical addition/5-exo-dig cyclization/iodination of 1,6-enynes with Togni's reagent using LiI as the iodine source without the need of the transition metal, oxidant, and base. This reaction promises to be a useful method for the preparation of trifluoromethyl-substituted and vinyl C-I bond-containing pyrrolidines and benzofuran products with good regioselectivity and functional-group tolerance under ambient conditions.
