Abstract
Electrophilic aromatic substitution at the C5 position of isoxazolines and construction of a new quaternary carbon center were achieved in this paper. This is the first report of carbon-carbon (C-C) bond formation onto isoxazoline without compromising the ring structure. Various aromatics including heteroaromatics gave the desired products in good yields, especially aromatics bearing electron-donating groups. The reaction proceeds via the SEAr reaction mechanism, in which carbocation intermediates generated from the fluorinated isoxazolines via C-F bond cleavage reacted with aromatics.

Abstract
An operationally simple and robust method for the direct arylation and ring closure of benzofurans is reported. Besides the mild conditions and good reaction yields, the methodology is applicable for a wide range of derivatives using commercially available aryl iodides with complete C2 regioselectivity. The reaction is proposed to follow a Heck-type oxyarylation mechanism. The facile synthesis method will enable the development of new materials for diverse applications in biology and catalysis and as precursors for organic semiconductors.

Design, synthesis, and in vitro and in silico study of 1-benzyl-indole hybrid thiosemicarbazones as competitive tyrosinase inhibitors. RSC Adv 2024; 14:28524-28542. Abstract
Developing new anti-tyrosinase drugs seems crucial for the medical and industrial fields since irregular melanin synthesis is linked to the resurgence of several skin conditions, including melanoma, and the browning of fruits and vegetables. A novel series of N-1 and C-3 substituted indole-based thiosemicarbazones 5(a-r) are synthesized and further analyzed for their inhibition potential against tyrosinase enzyme through in vitro assays. The synthesized compounds displayed very good to moderate inhibition with half maximal inhibitory concentration in the range of 12.40 ± 0.26 μM to 47.24 ± 1.27 μM. Among all the derivatives 5k displayed the highest inhibitory activity. According to SAR analysis, the derivatives with 4-substitution at the benzyl or phenyl ring of the thiosemicarbazones exhibited better inhibitory potential against tyrosinase. In silico analysis (including ADMET prediction and molecular docking) was conducted and compared with the standard drug (kojic acid). These findings may help the hunt for new melanogenesis inhibitors that the food and cosmetics industries may find valuable.

Abstract
Here we report B(C6F5)3/CPA-catalyzed enantioselective aza-Diels-Alder reaction of 3,3-difluoro-2-Aryl-3H-indoles with unactivated dienes to access chiral 10,10-difluoro-tetrahydropyrido[1,2-a]indoles. This protocol allows the formation of pyrazole-based C2-quaternary indolin-3-ones with high enantioselectivities and regioselectivities. Moreover, gram-scale synthesis of the 10,10-difluoro-tetrahydropyrido[1,2-a]indole skeleton was successfully achieved without any reduction in both yield and enantioselectivity.

Abstract
The direct functionalization of β-C(sp2)-H bonds in enamides has garnered increasing attention within the realm of organic synthesis. However, these remarkable advancements are predominantly dependent on transition metals; limited success has been achieved via organocatalytic catalysis. Herein, we report a CPA-catalyzed β-C(sp2)-H functionalization of enamides cascade intramolecular cyclization to synthesize the chiral dihydropyrimido[1,6-a]indoles bearing gem-difluoromethylene. Moreover, this methodology enables the synthesis of diverse chiral dihydropyrimido[1,6-a]indoles with outstanding enantioselectivities in moderate to high yields.
