Abstract
An enantioselective synthesis of a new class of benzophosphole-based heterocycles bearing a fused triazole ring with enantioselectivities of ≤99% is reported. The key steps of the synthesis are based on an innovative stereospecific phosphinyl N → O migration of aminophosphine-boranes into phosphinites, followed by an intramolecular cyclization. Five X-ray structures of P-chirogenic triazolobenzophospholes and a gold(I) complex were established, for assigning absolute configurations, the stereochemistry of the reactions, and the placement of the triazole substituent at the syn position of the P center.

Abstract
Chiral phosphorus ligands play a crucial role in asymmetric catalysis for the efficient synthesis of useful optically active compounds. They are largely categorized into two classes: backbone chirality ligands and P-stereogenic phosphorus ligands. Most of the reported ligands belong to the former class. Privileged ones such as BINAP and DuPhos are frequently employed in a wide range of catalytic asymmetric transformations. In contrast, the latter class of P-stereogenic phosphorus ligands has remained a small family for many years mainly because of their synthetic difficulty. The late 1990s saw the emergence of novel P-stereogenic phosphorus ligands with their superior enantioinduction ability in Rh-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation reactions. Since then, numerous P-stereogenic phosphorus ligands have been synthesized and used in catalytic asymmetric reactions. This Review summarizes P-stereogenic phosphorus ligands reported thus far, including their stereochemical and electronic properties that afford high to excellent enantioselectivities. Examples of reactions that use this class of ligands are described together with their applications in the construction of key intermediates for the synthesis of optically active natural products and therapeutic agents. The literature covered dates back to 1968 up until December 2023, centering on studies published in the late 1990s and later years.

Abstract
In the recent past, the chirality borne by a phosphorus center has aroused growing interest in many fields, and the development of new methodologies, notably using inexpensive reagents and simple experimental conditions, has become topical. An efficient stereoselective synthesis of P-chirogenic phosphinites useful as chiral phosphorus building blocks is herein described thanks to a new intramolecular phosphorus rearrangement based on P*(III)-phosphinyl N→O migration. This rearrangement was performed by heating at 50 °C aminophosphine-boranes, easily prepared from chiral amino alcohols, with DABCO in toluene overnight. Twenty-seven P-chirogenic phosphinites and borane complexes were thus prepared in yields up to 89%. The crude P*(III)-phosphinites were in situ used in stereoselective synthesis of P-chirogenic aminophosphine-phosphinites, phosphinothioates, sec- and tert-phosphine-oxides, and mono- and diphosphines in overall yields ranging from 28 to 89% and with e.e. up to 99%. Twenty-one X-ray structures of P-chirogenic compounds were established, allowing us to attribute undoubtedly their absolute configuration and the stereochemistry of the reactions. Finally, new ferrocenyl-bridged diphosphine ligands synthesized from P*(III)-chirogenic diphosphinites were tested in asymmetric metal-catalyzed reactions, providing enantioselectivities up to 95% e.e. in allylation of α-naphthylmethylamine at room temperature. To conclude, this rearrangement opens up an efficient new way for the stereoselective synthesis of numerous classes of P-chirogenic phosphorus compounds, notably bearing bulky substituents.

Abstract
Asymmetric hydrogenation plays an essential role for both academic research and industry to produce enantiomeric pure chiral molecules. Although nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) is powerful in determining the yields of hydrogenation, it is still challenging to use NMR for chirality-related analysis. Herein, we applied parahydrogen-induced hyperpolarization (PHIP) NMR to determine the enantioselectivity of asymmetric hydrogenation and the absolute chirality of products. We hyperpolarized two types of unsaturated amino acid precursors, i.e., methyl-α-acetoamido cinnamate and (E)-ethyl 3-acetamidobut-2-enoate. Hydrogenation of prochiral substrates with parahydrogen gave temporary hyperpolarized diastereoisomers, which exhibit different PHIP patterns distinguishable in 1H NMR. After assigning the NMR peaks by density functional theory calculations, we simulated the PHIP patterns of all the possible temporary hyperpolarized diastereoisomers and unambiguously assigned the chirality of the products and the enantioselectivity of asymmetric hydrogenation. Our work demonstrates the application and potential of PHIP in revealing the mechanism of asymmetric hydrogenation.

Abstract
BOM-tert-butylmethylphosphinite borane is an efficient electrophilic P-stereogenic transfer reagent for the synthesis of bulky tertiary phosphines. The novel methodology relies on a one-pot deprotection/substitution on the trivalent phosphinite that takes place with very high stereospecificity. The potential of this strategy is demonstrated with the synthesis of a wide scope of tertiary phosphines in excellent enantiomeric excess. The methodology was applied to the synthesis of a bulky P-stereogenic BisP* ligand analogue.

Abstract
We report the design of a new iron catalyst for the asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of ketones. This type of iron catalyst combines the structural characteristics of the Noyori hydrogenation catalyst (an axially chiral 2,2'-bis(phosphino)-1,1'-binaphthyl fragment and the metal-ligand bifunctional motif) and an ene(amido) group that can activate the iron center. After activation by 8 equivalents of potassium tert-butoxide, (SA,RP,SS)-7a and (SA,RP,SS)-7b are active but nonenantioselective catalysts for the transfer hydrogenation of acetophenone and α,β-unsaturated aldehydes at room temperature in isopropanol. A maximum turnover number of 14480 was observed for (SA,RP,SS)-7a in the reduction of acetophenone. The right combination of the stereochemistry of the axially chiral 2,2'-bis(phosphino)-1,1'-binaphthyl group and the carbon-centered chiral amine-imine moiety in (SA,RP,RR)-7b' afforded an enantioselective catalyst for the preparation of chiral alcohols with moderate to good yields and a broad functional group tolerance.
