Abstract
A facile and direct approach to N1-substituted 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones has been developed via Pd(II)-catalyzed one-pot cascade annulation of N-substituted anilines with CO, NH4OAc and aldehydes, and it features an intrinsic directing strategy, cheap and easily obtainable raw materials, low cost, high step economy and efficiency, broad substrate scope and good product diversity. This protocol has been successfully applied to the synthesis of glycozolone A and gram-level experiments. Based on the control experiments and the literature, the reaction mechanism was proposed.

Abstract
Herein, the first catalytic protocol for nickel-catalyzed ortho or para position difluoromethylation of various aromatic amines has been developed with the assistance of a bidentate phosphine ligand, offering an invaluable synthesis means to construct extensive p-difluoromethylated products and difluorooxindole derivatives with significant functional fragments. Furthermore, the gram-scale reaction, broad substrate scope, excellent functional-group compatibility, late-stage difluoromethylation of pesticides, and even formal synthesis of HDAC6 inhibitors further demonstrate the usefulness of this method.

Abstract
AbstractA simple, mild, green, and efficient method for the synthesis of 2-aminobenzamides is highly desirable. Herein, we report the development of an efficient, one-pot strategy starting from 2-aminobenzaldehydes and amines with acetic acid in ethyl acetate/acetone using irradiation with UV light for the synthesis of 2-aminobenzamides in high yields; 32 examples proceeded successfully by this photo-induced protocol in up to 92% yield. The reaction was also readily achieved on a gram scale. The utility of the 2-aminobenzamide building block in organic synthesis was shown by their use in the preparation of quinazolinone derivatives. The method was applied to amino acid derivatives as the amine component, which smoothly gave N-(2-aminobenzoyl)acetate derivatives at room temperature. Finally, a plausible mechanism is proposed.

Abstract
A mono- N-protected amino acid (MPAA) ligand promoted, Pd(II)-catalyzed C(sp2)-H arylation of free primary 2-phenylethylamines using the native NH2 as the directing group has been achieved. This method is compatible with challenging simple primary 2-phenylethylamines bearing α-hydrogen atoms. Application of this protocol in the direct structure modification of the drug molecule amphetamine is also demonstrated.
