Abstract
A one-pot multistep methodology leading to trifluoromethylated cyclopenta[c]isoquinolines, indeno[1,2-c]isoquinolines, 6,6-difluoro-1,3-oxazines, or 1,3-oxazin-6-ones, based on the reaction of 5-acylated N-pentafluoroethyl-substituted 1,2,3-triazoles is presented. A thermal ring opening of the starting triazoles, followed by a 1,2-acyl shift formed reactive ketenimines which cyclized after a rearrangement in a substrate-specific manner to provide new trifluoromethylated heterocyclic products.

Abstract
Oxazine-6-one and 4-pyrimidinol are two important frameworks in pharmaceutical production. Herein, we disclosed a simple, efficient, inexpensive organic base-promoted and additive-stimulated protocol for the syntheses of variably functionalized oxazine-6-ones and 4-pyrimidinols employing acetonitrile solvent under conventional heating conditions using an oil bath through C-N and C-O coupled domino steps. This simple practicable productive protocol utilizes easily producible cheap precursors, namely, benzimidates or benzamidines, with differently substituted dicyano-olefins, and it comprises step economy, robustness, and moisture insensitive conditions affording high yield that avoids the use of transition-metal catalysts, multistep with multicomponent strategy, and harsh reaction conditions involving hazardous chemicals. This method is scalable into gram-scale production with good yield.

Abstract
![]()
The Co2(CO)8-mediated intramolecular
Pauson–Khand
reaction is an elegant approach to obtain cyclopentenone derivatives
containing asymmetric centers. In this work, we employed density functional
theory calculations at the M11/6-311+G(d,p) level of theory to investigate
the mechanism and reactivity for the Pauson–Khand reaction
of fluorinated and asymmetric N-tethered 1,7-enynes.
The rate-determining step was found to be the intramolecular alkene
insertion into the carbon–cobalt bond. The stereoselectivity
of the alkene insertion step was rationalized by the different transition
states showing the coordination of the alkene through the Re- and Si-face. The effects of different
fluorine groups and steric effects on both the alkenyl and alkynyl
moieties were also theoretically investigated.

Abstract
Selective functionalization of a single sp3 C-F bond of the CF3 group represents an appealing way to generate the pharmaceutically privileged difluoromethylene moiety. Herein, a novel protocol for the C-F bond etherification of trifluoromethylalkenes and phenols is reported. A variety of alkenyl difluoroaryloxy ethers are obtained with good chemoselectivity and functional group tolerance. DFT calculation results and control experiments suggest that metal ion Cs+ might be involved in this defluorooxylation. Furthermore, the desired product exhibits a good insecticidal activity.

Abstract
Selective C-F bond functionalization of CF3 group represents an appealing strategy for the incorporation of pharmaceutically privileged difluoromethylene moiety. Despite the recent significant advancement attained in the functionalization of Ar-CF3 molecules, prescriptions amenable for alkenyl-CF3 congeners remain sufficiently inadequate. Herein, we report a strategically novel protocol for the C-F bond elaboration of trifluoromethylalkene derivatives. By using readily available allyl metallics as nucleophilic coupling partner, the present reaction enables an expedient construction of structurally diversified CF2 -bridged 1,5-dienes. Furthermore, the exquisite selectivity observed in this transformation is revealed to be based on the underlying mechanism that consists of a cascade of nucleophilic SN 2' defluorinative allylation and electronically promoted Cope rearrangement.

Abstract

The
addition of propargylmagnesium bromide to fluorinated aromatic
sulfinyl imines gave homopropargyl amines with total regio- and diastereoselection.
Complete reversal of diastereoselectivity can be achieved in some
cases using coordinating (THF) or noncoordinating (DCM) solvents.
Substituted propargylic magnesium reagents have been also tested toward
fluorinated aryl sulfinyl imines affording chiral homoallenyl amines
with good yields and selectivity control. DFT calculations helped
to rationalize the origin of the experimental regio- and diastereoselectivities
observed in each case.

Abstract
A direct and straightforward thiocyanation of enamides with NH4SCN under metal-free conditions has been accomplished. A variety of (E)-β-thiocyanoenamides are readily produced in a regio- and stereo-selective manner. The protocol features mild reaction conditions, good functional group tolerance and operational simplicity. The potential utility of this strategy was further demonstrated by transformation of thiocyanate into thiotetrazole-containing compounds and a Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction to afford six- or seven-membered sulfur-containing heterocycles. Mechanistic insights into the reaction indicate that the reaction may proceed via a radical mechanism.

Abstract
For the first time, the bidentate phosphinite ligand 1,2-bis(di-tert-butylphosphinoxy)ethane (tBu2 POCH2 CH2 OPtBu2 ) was synthesized. In the presence of this ligand, various N-acyl enamides were obtained in good yields and chemoselectivity by Pd-catalyzed carbonylation reaction of imines containing α-H. Meanwhile, imines without α-H could be transformed to N-acyl imines, which form highly hindered amides by straightforward addition of Grignard reagents.

Abstract
A radical trifluoromethylation reaction of tertiary enamides was investigated and trifluoromethyl-containing isoindolinones were prepared under mild conditions. Using TMSCF3 as a radical source, PhI(OAc)2 as an oxidant and KHF2 as an additive, tertiary enamides were converted to isoindolinones via a cascade addition and cyclization process in moderate to good yields. Radical trifluoromethylation and cyclization of tertiary enamides was developed and trifluoromethyl-containing isoindolinones were obtained in moderate to good yields.![]()
