Abstract
The existing hypervalent I(III) reagents bearing ONO2 group are limited in types and their applications primarily focused on the nitrooxylation reactions featuring a fully-exo fashion. Herein, a benziodazole-type O2NO-I(III) compound was prepared and its reaction with β-monosubstituted enamines in the presence of CuI could trigger a radical nitration/cyclization/dehydration cascade to provide a series of less explored but biologically interesting furazan heterocycles. Mechanistically, the benziodazole-type O2NO-I(III) compound acts as a nitrating reagent and incorporates its NO moiety into the final furazan product in a fully-endo model, a process of which was proposed to involve nitration, cyclization and dehydration.

Abstract
A trifluoroacetic anhydride-mediated cascade process for the synthesis of thiadiazole derivatives is described. 1,2,5-Thiadiazoles and 1,2,4-thiadiazolones could be obtained by variation of the reaction conditions. A group of functionalized thiadiazole derivatives were synthesized in moderate to good yields from nitro-group-containing N-tert-butanesulfinamides. The reactions involved in this tandem process are a Pummerer-like rearrangement of the tert-butanesulfinamide unit, a nitrile oxide formation via nitro group rearrangement, addition of oxygenated nucleophiles, and an N-S bond forming cyclization followed by concomitant elimination.

Abstract
1,2,5-oxadiazole belongs to five-membered heterocyclic compounds with two nitrogen and one oxygen atom. In comparison with other heterocyclic moieties, 1,2,5-oxadiazoles moiety is considered as underprivileged as it attracted little attention of the researchers although lot of scopes and possible applications in medicinal, material and agriculture science. 1,2,5-oxadiazole and its derivatives have been reported as good pharmacophores as carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, antibacterial, vasodilating agents, antimalarial, anticancer, etc. In the presented manuscript, we reviewed granted patents and different synthetic strategies which have been reported for the synthesis of 1,2,5-oxadiazoles such as cycloaddition, dimerization, cyclodehydration, condensation, thermolysis, nitration, oxidation and ring-conversion. These synthetic methods have also been analysed for their merits and demerits. The manuscript also highlighted various applications of 1,2,5-oxadiazole and its derivatives. We hope that researchers across the scientific streams will be benefitted from the presented review articles for designing their work related to 1,2,5-oxadiazoles.

Abstract
A simple and efficient method is explored for the synthesis of 2-hydroxyimino-2-phenylacetonitriles (2) and phthalimides (4), by using nitromethane as nitrogen donors. Both reactions are promoted by Cu(II) system with the participation of dioxygen as an oxidant. The scope of the method has been successfully demonstrated with a total of 51 examples. The flexible and diversified characteristics of reactions are introduced in terms of electronic effect, steric effect, position of substituted groups, and intramolecular charge transfer. Experimental studies suggest that the methyl nitrite could be a precursor in the path to the final products. A possible reaction mechanism is proposed, including the Cu(II)/O2-facilitated transformation of nitromethane to methyl nitrite, the base-induced formation of 2-hydroxyimino-2-phenylacetonitriles, and the base-dioxygen-promoted formation of phthalimides.

Abstract
The title compound represents the thallium(I) salt of a substituted 1,2,5-oxa-diazole, [Tl(C3H3N4O3)] n , with amino- and hydroxamate groups in the 4- and 3- positions of the oxa-diazole ring, respectively. In the crystal, the deprotonated hydroxamate group represents an inter-mediate between the keto/enol tautomers and forms a five-membered chelate ring with the thallium(I) cation. The coordination sphere of the cation is augmented to a distorted disphenoid by two monodentately binding O atoms from two adjacent anions, leading to the formation of zigzag chains extending parallel to the b axis. The cohesion within the chains is supported by π-π stacking [centroid-centroid distance = 3.746 (3) Å] and inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.
