Abstract
Ketoesterification stands as a pivotal technique in organic synthesis, particularly due to its essential role in the construction of numerous natural products and bioactive compounds. In this study, we have successfully accomplished a visible-light-induced cyclization and diastereoselective direct ketoesterification of cyclohexadienones, facilitating access to cis 6,5-fused tetrahydrobenzofuranone derivatives. The utilization of TEMPO radical quenching experiments has provided insights, suggesting an ionic mechanism underlying this methodology. Additionally, the regioselective addition of 2-oxo-2-phenylacetate to the least hindered side in a cis-selective fashion makes this protocol more appealing toward natural product development. Incorporation of a continuous flow reaction into the batch protocol has notably bolstered the efficiency and reaction rate. Furthermore, the demonstration of gram-scale reactions in the flow setup and synthetic utility with NaOH underscore the scalability and practical applicability of this approach.

Abstract
We present the first example of Au-catalyzed reduction of nitriles into primary amines. In contrast to monohydrosilanes which are completely unreactive, diethylsilane (a dihydrosilane) is capable of reducing aryl or alkyl nitriles into primary amines under catalysis by Au nanoparticles supported on TiO2, via a smooth double hydrosilylation pathway. The produced labile N-disilylamines are readily deprotected by HCl in Et2O to form the hydrochloric salts of the corresponding amines in very good to excellent yields. The catalyst is recyclable and reusable at least in 5 consecutive runs.

Abstract
(Borylmethyl)trimethylsilanes are important building blocks in organic synthesis displaying a unique reactivity. Yet, the synthesis of more advanced derivatives is limited by the advanced silicon intermediates required for their preparation. Herein, a one-pot synthesis of (borylmethyl)silanes is developed, sourced on available alkyl-, aryl-, alkoxy-, aryloxy-, and silyl-hydrosilane materials. The privileged reactivity of N-hydroxyphthalimidyl diazoacetate (NHPI-DA) in Si-H insertion and α-silyl redox-active esters in different decarboxylative borylation reactions are scrutinized.

Abstract
Gold nanoparticles stabilized by NHC ligands and supported onto reduced graphene oxide (rGO) catalyse the functionalization of cyclohexane and benzene C-H bonds upon insertion of carbene CHCO2Et (from N2CHCO2Et) groups. This is the first example in which such Csp3-H or Csp2-H bonds are functionalized with this strategy with nanoparticulated gold. This Au-NP@rGO material shows an exceptional activity, providing TON values 5-10 times higher than those already reported for molecular gold catalysts. Recyclability is also effective, reaching an accumulated TON value of 1400 after six consecutive uses.

Abstract
Transition-metal-catalyzed Si-H bond insertion reactions are generally limited to stabilized diazo compounds. An efficient copper-catalyzed Si-H bond insertion reaction of N-propargyl ynamides with hydrosilanes is described, allowing practical and atom-economic construction of valuable organosilanes in generally moderate to excellent yields under mild reaction conditions. Notably, this reaction constitutes a new method of Si-H bond insertion reaction involving vinyl cations as key intermediates.

Abstract
Catalytic carbene-transfer reactions constitute a class of highly useful transformations in organic synthesis. Although catalysts based on a range of transition-metals have been reported, the readily accessible nickel(II)-based complexes have been rarely used. Herein, an air-stable nickel(II)-carborane complex is reported as a well-defined, versatile and recyclable catalyst for selective carbene transfer reactions with low catalyst loading under mild conditions. This catalyst is effective for several types of reactions including diastereoselective cyclopropanation, epoxidation, selective X-H insertions (X = C, N, O, S, Si), particularly for the unprotected substrates. This represents a rare example of carborane ligands in base metal catalysis.

Abstract
Supported Au nanoparticles on TiO2 (1 mol%) are capable of catalyzing the reduction of the carbene-like diazo functionality of α-diazocarbonyl compounds into a methylene group [C=(N2) → CH2] by NH3BH3 or NaBH4 in methanol as solvent. The Au-catalyzed reduction that occurs within a few minutes at room temperature formally requires one hydride equivalent (B-H) and one proton that originates from the protic solvent. This pathway is in contrast to the Pt/CeO2-catalyzed reaction of α-diazocarbonyl compounds with NH3BH3 in methanol, which leads to the corresponding hydrazones instead. Under our stoichiometric Au-catalyzed reaction conditions, the ketone-type carbonyls remain intact, which is in contrast to the uncatalyzed conditions where they are selectively reduced by the boron hydride reagent. It is proposed that the transformation occurs via the formation of chemisorbed carbenes on Au nanoparticles, having proximally activated the boron hydride reagent. This protocol is the first general example of catalytic transfer hydrogenation of the carbene-like α -ketodiazo functionality.

Abstract
A family of phosphine ligands containing a five-membered ring similar to the popular N-heterocyclic carbene ligands and an alkoxy third substituent has been developed. These alkoxydiaminophosphine ligands (ADAP) can be generated in one pot and reacted with a copper(I) source leading to the high yield isolation of complexes [(ADAP)CuX]2 (X=Cl, Br). The dinuclear nature of these compounds has been established by means of X-ray studies and DOSY experiments. A screening of the catalytic properties of these complexes toward carbene-transfer reactions from diazocompounds to C-H bonds (alkane, arene), olefins or N-H bonds, as well as in CuAAC or nitrene transfer reactions have shown a performance at least similar, if not better, than their (NHC)CuCl analogues, opening a new window in copper catalysis with these readily tunable ADAP ligands.

Abstract
The first catalytic asymmetric cyclopropanation of diazo oxime ethers with olefins was developed. In the presence of a Ru(II)-Pheox catalyst, various optically active cyclopropyl oxime derivatives were obtained in high yields (up to 99%) with high enantioselectivities (up to 98% ee). Furthermore, optically active cyclopropyl oxime ethers could be successfully converted into the corresponding cyclopropyl methylamine derivatives via metal hydride and Grignard reagent mediated Beckmann rearrangement, which are potential candidates for the assessment of biological and pharmaceutical activities.

Abstract
A highly chemoselective reaction between 5-aminoisoxazoles and α-diazocarbonyl compounds has been described. Both Wolff rearrangement and N-H insertion products can be obtained selectively by the judicious choice of reaction conditions. In the case of the Wolff rearrangement reactions, the N-isoxazole amides are accessed as the sole products under thermal conditions. On the other hand, α-amino acid derivatives of N-isoxazolescan be obtained through N-H insertion reactions in the presence of catalytic Rh2(Oct)4. Both reactions proceed under mild reaction conditions and feature a broad substrate scope.

Abstract
Pd(0)-Catalyzed formal carbene insertion into Si-H bonds has been achieved as an efficient method for C(sp3)-Si bond formation. The reaction, which uses readily available N-tosylhydrazones as the diazo precursors, is highly efficient and shows a wide substrate scope. Rh(ii) and Cu(i) salts, which are the widely used catalysts for carbene insertion reactions, have been proved to be ineffective for the current reaction. A Pd(ii) carbene migratory insertion/reductive elimination mechanism is proposed.
