Abstract
A highly efficient synthesis of 7-vinyl-6,7-dihydro-4H-furo[3,4-c]pyran derivatives from 2-butene-1,4-diols and 2-(1-alkynyl)-2-alken-1-ones has been achieved with high regio- and diastereoselectivity (dr > 20:1) by Pd-catalyzed tandem heterocyclization/cross-coupling. The π-allyl palladium species Int II generated from 2-butene-1,4-diol by direct cleavage of the C-OH bond is the key to the success in this formal (3 + 3) cycloaddition reaction.

Abstract
An iodine-promoted one-pot cascade oxidative annulation reaction has been developed for the synthesis of chromone-fused-pyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinolines and indolizino[8,7-b]indoles from o-acetylphenoxyacrylates, tetrahydroisoquinolines, and noreleagnines. This process underwent a logical approach to both chromone-fused-pyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinolines and chromone-fused-indolizino[8,7-b]indoles isolamellarin derivatives. Manipulations of l-menthol and dl-α-tocopherol demonstrate the applications of this strategy.

Abstract
A new and green route to skeletally diverse oxo-heterocyclic architectures such as pyrano[3,4-c]chromen-2-ones and pyrano[3,4-c]quinolin-2-ones is reported via an unprecedented photocatalytic Kharasch-type cyclization/1,5-(SN″)-substitution/elimination/6π-electrocyclization/double nucleophilic substitution cascade starting from easily available heteroatom-linked 1,7-diynes and low-cost CBrCl3. During this reaction process, the full scission of carbon-halogen bonds of BrCCl3 was realized to directly build two new rings, including a lactone scaffold, using H2O as the oxygen source of the ester group.

Abstract
This study discloses the first enantioselective variant of the gold(I)-catalyzed hydrative cyclizations of ynamides, which have been implemented by using bis-gold(I) complexes of chiral diphosphines. Starting from N-propargyl-ynamides and water in the presence of p-toluenesulfonic acid, the cyclization reactions afford N-tosyl-3,6-dihydropyridin-2(1H)-ones in good isolated yields and with high levels of stereocontrol (20 examples, enantiomeric ratios up to 94:6).

Abstract
A new metal-free oxidative [2+2+1] heteroannulation of 1,7-enynes with thiocyanates for producing thieno[3,4-c]quinolin-4(5H)-ones is presented. This reaction employs benzoylperoxide (BPO) as the oxidant and sodium thiocyanate as the sulfur source to enable the formation of three chemical bonds, two C-S bonds and one C-C bond, in a single reaction, and represents a new, practical access to S-heterocycles with the avoidance of the use of metal catalysts and excess bases.
