Abstract
Catalytic reactions involving 1,n-metal migration from carbon to carbon enable a nonclassical way of constructing organic molecular skeletons, rapidly providing complex molecules from relatively simple precursors. By utilization of this attractive feature, a new and efficient synthesis of alkenylsilylmethylboronates has been developed by formal hydro(borylmethylsilyl)ation of unsymmetric internal alkynes with silylboronates under copper catalysis. The reaction proceeds regioselectively and involves an unprecedented alkenyl-to-alkyl 1,4-copper migration. The reaction mechanism has been investigated by a series of kinetic, NMR, and deuterium-labeling experiments.

Abstract
We develop a copper-catalyzed disilylation of polysubstituted pent-1-en-4-yn-3-yl acetate derivatives, which in one pot furnishes the bis(silyl)-substituted vinylallenes in moderate yields under mild reaction conditions. The reaction shows broad substrate scope and single stereoselectivity. Besides, we develop a method to decrease the electrocyclization temperature of vinylallenes for the synthesis of methylenecyclobutenes by installing bis(silyl) substituents. And the effect of a silyl substituent on electrocyclization of vinylallenes was studied via DFT computation. The synthetic method features broad substrate scope and excellent stereoselectivity.

Abstract
Alkene and alkyne difunctionalization is a flexible process that allows the construction of two functional groups simultaneously in one step. On the other hand, carbosilylation, an ingenious difunctionalization pathway to concurrently incorporate both a silyl group and an organic functional group (alkyl, (hetero)aryl, alkenyl, alkynyl and allenyl) across a carbon-carbon multiple-bond system, is achieving immense interest in recent days. This review article provides a decade's update on the discoveries and developments in the synthesis of carbosilylated products from two very important carbon-carbon unsaturated substrates, alkenes and alkynes.

Abstract
Organic compounds bearing both silyl and boryl groups are important building blocks in organic synthesis because of the adequate reactivity of the silyl and boryl groups and high stereospecificity in their derivatization reactions. The difference in reactivity between the silyl and boryl groups enables stepwise derivatization of these groups to afford complex molecules. Here, we report the copper(I)-catalyzed silaboration of terminal allenes to produce multisubstituted allylic boronates embedded with an alkenyl silane structure. The reaction can proceed with a variety of allenes and silylboranes. Furthermore, the silyl and boryl groups were successfully converted into other functional groups, while retaining the stereochemistry of the alkene moiety.

Abstract
A highly stereo- and regiocontrolled multicomponent approach to skipped 1,4-dienes decorated with one boryl and two silyl functionalities is described. This Pd-catalyzed atom-economical union of allenamides, alkynes, and Me2 PhSiBpin (or Et3 SiBpin) proceeds without the use of phosphine ligands, instead relying on chelation through the internal amide group of the allenamide sulfonyl. A variety of alkynes, including those derived from complex bioactive molecules, can be efficiently coupled with allenamides and Me2 PhSiBpin in good yields and with excellent selectivity. The synthetic potential was demonstrated through multiple valuable chemoselective transformations, establishing new disconnections for functionalized dienes. Density functional theory calculations revealed that the reaction first proceeded through borylation of the allenamide, followed by silylation of the alkyne and then reductive elimination, which convergently assemble the skipped 1,4-diene.

Abstract
Ligand-controlled regiodivergence has been developed for catalytic semireduction of allenamides with excellent chemo- and stereocontrol. This system also provides an example of catalytic regiodivergent semireduction of allenes for the first time. The divergence of the semireduction is enabled by ligand switch with the same palladium pre-catalyst under operationally simple and mild conditions. Monodentate ligand XPhos exclusively promotes selective 1,2-semireduction to afford allylic amides, while bidentate ligand BINAP completely switched the regioselectivity to 2,3-semireduction, producing (E)-enamide derivatives.

Abstract
Herein we report the copper-catalyzed silylation of propargylic difluorides to generate axially chiral, tetrasubstituted monofluoroallenes in both good yields (27 examples >80%) and enantioselectivities (82-98% ee). Compared to previously reported synthetic routes to axially chiral allenes (ACAs) from prochiral substrates, a mechanistically distinct reaction has been developed: the enantiodiscrimination between enantiotopic fluorides to set an axial stereocenter. DFT calculations and vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) suggest that β-fluoride elimination from an alkenyl copper intermediate likely proceeds through a syn-β-fluoride elimination pathway rather than an anti-elimination pathway. The effects of the C1-symmetric Josiphos-derived ligand on reactivity and enantioselectivity were investigated. Not only does this report showcase that alkenyl copper species (like their alkyl counterparts) can undergo β-fluoride elimination, but this elimination can be achieved in an enantioselective fashion.

Abstract
A base-mediated silylation reaction leading to benzyl silanes has been developed. Under transition-metal and solvent free conditions, the silylation of a wide array of p-quinone methides is achieved using a Cs2CO3 catalyst in yields up to 96%. Carboxylation of the as-obtained organosilane with gaseous CO2 provides a new synthetic protocol for the preparation of carboxylic acid. A novel and efficient synthetic protocol is reported for the synthesis of benzyl silanes from readily available silylborane and p-quinone methides using 5% cesium carbonate under solvent-free conditions.![]()

Abstract
As a new and complementary method for the synthesis of structurally defined tetrasubstituted alkenes, a copper-catalyzed regio- and anti-selective addition of silylboronates to unsymmetric internal alkynes has been developed. A variety of unactivated alkynes can be employed with high selectivity under simple and mild conditions, and the resulting products have been further functionalized by utilizing silyl and boryl groups on the alkene.

Abstract
Copper-catalyzed silafunctionalization of alkynes using a silylboronic ester as a silicon source has recently progressed rapidly. Generally, the reaction affords a product with cis-stereoselectivity. We herein describe trans-selective 1,2-addition of silylboronic esters to internal arylalkynes, which was promoted efficiently by the CuOt-Bu/RCy2P/NaOt-Bu catalysts. Moreover, we report a stereochemical switch to cis-addition in the reactions of Me2(i-PrO)Si-B(pin) in hydrocarbon solvents including cyclohexane.

Abstract
In this protocol, copper-catalyzed diverse silylative carbocyclization reactions of 2,2'-diethynylbiaryl derivatives with silaboronate were reported. Three new and novel types of domino reactions for the copper-catalyzed transformation of silaboronate were discovered. The corresponding cyclobuta[l]phenanthrene, bis((silyl)methyl)phenanthrene, and silyl-substituted exocyclic diene products were chemoselectively formed with high efficiency.

Abstract
A silver-catalyzed three-component reaction involving alkynes, Selectfluor®, and diethyl phosphite was employed for the one-pot formation of C(sp2)-F and C(sp2)-P bonds to provide an efficient access to β-fluorovinylphosphonates in a highly regio- and stereoselective manner under mild reaction conditions. This reaction is operationally simple and offers an excellent functional group tolerance as well as a broad substrate scope that includes both terminal and internal alkynes. The reaction proceeded through the oxidative generation of a P-centered radical and subsequent fluorine atom transfer.

Abstract
Using terminal alkyne as a nontraditional one-carbon (C1) unit and silylborane as an external silicon pronucleophile, a relay palladium/copper-catalyzed silylative [5 + 1] benzannulation of 3-acetoxy-1,4-enynes for producing polysubstituted arylsilanes, especially including bioactive motif-based analogues, in a single reaction step through benzene ring skeleton assembly and silyl intermolecular incorporation cascades is developed. Mechanistic studies show that this reaction allows the terminal sp-hybridized carbon atom in terminal alkynes as a C1 unit via cleavage of two π-bonds and one C(sp)-H bond.

Abstract
Bismetalated alkenes, accessible by element–element addition to alkynes, are valuable building blocks in organic synthesis, providing wide opportunities for divergent synthesis. Silaboration of alkynes with a pendant olefinic group, catalyzed by group 10 metal complexes, and subsequent transformation of the silicon and boron functional groups give access to densely functionalized 1,3-dienes and 1,3,5-trienes with defined stereo- and regiochemistry, 1,2-dienes, and carbocyclic and heterocyclic products.1 Introduction2 Background3 Reactions with 1,3-Enynes4 Cyclization 1,6-Enynes5 Cyclization 1,7-Enynes6 Cyclization of 1,n-Enynes (n > 7)7 Cyclization of Dienynes and Enediynes8 Cyclization of 1,6-Diynes9 Conclusions
