Abstract
An efficient protocol for the synthesis of stable 2-azaallyl anion salts by the reaction of alkyl 2-bromo-2H-azirine-2-carboxylates with trimethylsilyl cyanide/Bu4NF has been developed. The domino reaction proceeds in four steps via the cleavage of the azirine C-C bond to provide the tetrabutylammonium salts of stereochemically pure 2-azaallyl anions having U-configuration relative to the cyano groups. The anions with an ortho-substituted aryl group or styryl group exist as a mixture of two geometrical isomers across the N2-C3 bond. 2-Azaallyl anion salts have been shown to be convenient substrates for the one-pot synthesis of densely functionalized 2H-pyrroles by the alkylation-cyclization sequence.

Abstract
We report two practical and step-economical methodologies for the chemodivergent synthesis of tri-substituted pyrroles and 3-oxazolines from the domino reactions of 2H-azirines and acetone. For instance, acetone served as a nucleophile to react with 2H-azirines under the basic conditions to furnish pyrroles. Upon changing the catalyst to TfOH, acetone served as an electrophile to synthesize 3-oxazolines. Moreover, the products could be synthesized on a gram scale, and the possible catalytic cycles were proposed.

Abstract
Developing efficient and straightforward strategies to rapidly construct structurally distinct and diverse organic molecules is one of the most fundamental tasks in organic synthesis, drug discovery and materials science. In recent years, divergent synthesis of organic functional molecules from the same starting materials has attracted significant attention and has been recognized as an efficient and powerful strategy. To achieve this objective, the proper adjustment of reaction conditions, such as catalysts, solvents, ligands, etc., is required. In this review, we summarized the recent efforts in chemo-, regio- and stereodivergent reactions involving acyclic and cyclic systems catalyzed by palladium complexes. Meanwhile, the reaction types, including carbonylative reactions, coupling reactions and cycloaddition reactions, as well as the probable mechanism have also been highlighted in detail.

Abstract
C7-Arylated pyrazolo[1,5-a]azines are important structural motifs with profound applications in drug and material research. Here, we report a general and straighforward synthesis of these bi(hetero)aryls via palladium-catalyzed direct C-H arylation, employing low-cost and abundant (hetero)aryl chlorides as the aryl source. The catalytic system is robust and covers a wide substrate scope regarding heteroarenes as well as (hetero)aryl chlorides, with possible extension to the C-H arylation of [1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines. This study also presents a rare example of using (hetero)aryl chlorides for the direct C-H arylation of six-membered heteroarenes.

Abstract
N-Benzyl ketimines undergo [3 + 2] cycloaddition with arylacetylenes in the KOBut/DMSO solution to 2,3,5-triarylpyrrolines, which are oxidized (chloranil, DDQ) in situ to 2,3,5-triaryl-2H-pyrroles in 53-71% yields. The intermediate 1-pyrrolines can be isolated in 31-91% yields and separately oxidized to the corresponding 2H-pyrroles.

Abstract
The first base-mediated intermolecular cyclization of arylaldehydes and terminal arylacetylenes for the synthesis of a wide range of pyrroles in a single step has been described. The developed methodology used commercially available starting materials and tolerated a broad range of functional groups affording 2,3,5-triaryl-substituted-1H-pyrroles with good yields (up to 92% yield) under mild conditions. The possible mechanism was also discussed.

Abstract
A regiodivergent C-H arylation of triphenylene derivatives with diaryliodonium salts was developed. The regiodivergence was controlled by electronic effects of diaryliodonium salts. When the aryl(mesityl)iodonium salts bearing strong electron-donating groups at the para-position of aryl groups were used, the arylation reactions occurred ortho to amide groups. However, if the aryl(mesityl)iodonium salts bearing electron-withdrawing groups or weak electron-donating groups at the para-position of aryl groups were utilized, the arylation reactions occurred meta to amide groups.

Abstract

A catalyst-free, stereoselective
visible-light-driven annulation
reaction between alkenes and N,N-substituted dialkyl anilines for the synthesis of substituted tetrahydroquinolines
is presented. The reaction is driven by the photoexcitation of an
electron donor–acceptor (EDA) complex, and the resulting products
are obtained in good to high yields with complete diastereoselectivity.
Mechanistic rationale and photochemical characterization of the EDA-complex
are provided.
