Abstract
A palladium-catalyzed intramolecular Heck/aminocarbonylation of alkene-tethered iodobenzenes with nitro compounds has been developed for the synthesis of carbamoyl-substituted benzoheterocycles. Using Mo(CO)6 as a solid CO source, no external reductant or additives were needed in this procedure. Both nitroarenes and nitroalkanes were well tolerated. A range of carbamoyl-substituted dihydrobenzofurans and indolines were prepared in moderate to high yields.

Abstract
Herein, we report an iron(II)-catalyzed polymerization of arylallenes. This reaction proceeds rapidly at room temperature in the presence of a hydride co-catalyst to generate polymers of weight up to Mn =189 000 Da. We have determined the polymer structure and chain length for a range of monomers through a combination of NMR, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and gel permeation chromatography (GPC) analysis. Mechanistically, we postulate that the co-catalyst does not react to form an iron(II) hydride in situ, but instead the chain growth is proceeding via a reactive Fe(III) species. We have also performed kinetic and isotopic experiments to further our understanding. The formation of a highly unusual 1,3-substituted cyclobutane side-product is also investigated.

Abstract
A palladium-catalyzed regioselective cyclocarbonylation of N-(2-pyridyl)sulfonyl (N-SO2Py)-2-iodoanilines with allenes was developed. The regioselectivity of arylallenes was reversed. Control experiments and DFT calculations were performed to understand the reaction details.

Abstract
A variety of chromone fused cyclopentanones are efficiently generated in good to high yields via palladium-catalyzed [2 + 2 + 1] annulation, in which cyclopropenone was utilized for the first time as the sole CO surrogate in the carbonylation process.

Abstract
This review continues consideration of the regioselectivity problem in the catalyzed hydrofunctionalization of unsaturated organic compounds and addresses hydroamination of unsaturated hydrocarbons. Particular parts of the review deal with reactions of alkenes, alkynes, allenes and dienes. It is shown that the selectivity of hydroamination depends on the natures of the reactants and the catalyst. Conditions of the reactions are described; in some cases, reaction mechanisms are discussed. Reactions for which divergent regioselectivity is possible are noted.

Abstract
In this communication, an interesting carbonylation protocol for the preparation of α-branched enones has been established. Starting from readily available aryl iodides and allenes, with formic acid as the CO source and reductant, moderate to good yields of the desired enones were isolated. Although it is a carbonylation methodology, the use of a CO source can avoid the manipulation of CO gas directly. Notably, this procedure also presents the first example on carbonylative synthesis of α-branched enones.
