Abstract
Novel octopod shaped Ag3PO4 microcrystals were successfully fabricated by a simple ion exchange method under the conditions of a hot water bath using [Ag(NH3)2]+ solution and Na2HPO4 solution as the precursors. Meanwhile, sphere and cube shaped Ag3PO4 microcrystals were also prepared followed by changing reaction materials as well as temperature. The surface morphology, microstructure and photocatalytic performance were investigated on the three different shaped crystals respectively. Compared to sphere and cube counterparts, the obtained octopod shaped Ag3PO4 crystals possess 8 symmetric feet with sharp tips and exhibit higher photocatalytic activity and better cycle stability. After further exploring its formation process, UV-vis diffusion reflectance properties as well as photocurrent transient response, it was found that the Ag3PO4 octopod had exposed high index crystal faces, and possessed a narrow band gap as well as high photoexcited transient charge separation efficiency. The results show that the improved photocatalytic activity of octopod shaped Ag3PO4 is mainly due to the synergistic action of the strong light absorption capacity and high carrier separation efficiency. These results highlight the tremendous practical application of octopod Ag3PO4 microcrystals in visible light photocatalysis.

Abstract
The conventional hydrogen evolution from water electrolysis is severely impeded by the sluggish kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction (OER). In this work, an integrated electrolysis system of replacing the anodic OER with a thermodynamically favorable ethanol oxidation reaction (EOR) has been developed by using PdSbBi/C as an electrocatalyst. To maximize the EOR performance, the composition of PdSbBi nanoparticles is tuned by varying the ratio of Sb and Bi precursors. Ternary PdSbBi-based electrocatalysts exhibit enhanced activity and stability toward EOR compared to commercial Pd/C and binary catalysts. In particular, the Pd76Sb17Bi7/C catalyst delivers a very high specific activity up to 52.4 mA cm-2 and mass activity of 2.66 A mg-1Pd. Besides, this EOR process is demonstrated to have high selectivity with acetic acid as the oxidation product in the electrolyte. When coupled with a cathodic platinum mash, the two-electrode electrolyzer cell requires a voltage input of merely 0.61 V to afford a current density of 10 mA cm-2. Density functional theory calculations reveal that the presence of Sb and Bi can promote the adsorption of hydroxide ions and facilitate the removal of reaction intermediates in the EOR pathway. This work provides a novel catalyst for the energy-efficient coproduction of acetic acid and hydrogen fuel.

Abstract
Bimetallic PdCu porous hollow nanoparticles (PHNs) with hierarchical nanostructures and well-alloyed compositions were precisely synthesized through a one-pot aqueous synthetic route. Bimetallic PdCu PHNs exhibited multiple enhancement synergies and thus performed well in ethanol oxidation electrocatalysis with remarkable activity and stability. This work expedites rational design and synthesis of the high-hierarchy alloy electrocatalysts for fuel cell electrocatalysis.
