Abstract
The low-cost daily monitoring of C-reactive protein (CRP) levels is crucial for screening acute inflammation or infections as well as managing chronic inflammatory diseases. In this study, we synthesized novel 2-Methacryloyloxy ethyl phosphorylcholine (MPC)-based biomimetic nanoparticles with a large surface area to develop a visual CRP-quantification assay using affordable glass capillaries. The PMPC nanoparticles, synthesized via reflux precipitation polymerization, demonstrated multivalent binding capabilities, enabling rapid and specific CRP capture. In the presence of CRP, PMPC nanoparticles formed sandwich structures with magnetic nanoparticles functionalized with CRP antibodies, thereby enhancing detection sensitivity and specificity. These sandwich complexes were magnetically accumulated into visible and quantifiable stacks within the glass capillaries, allowing for the rapid, sensitive, and specific quantification of CRP concentrations with a detection limit of 57.5 pg/mL and a range spanning from 0 to 5000 ng/mL. The proposed visual distance-based capillary biosensor shows great potential in routine clinical diagnosis as well as point-of-care testing (POCT) in resource-limited settings.

Abstract
L-Cysteine, widely used in medicine and the food industry, is of great essentiality to organisms and the food quality. Given that current detection approaches require exacting lab conditions and tedious sample treatment, there is a pressing demand for developing a method that possesses advantages of user friendliness, prominent performance, and cost-effectiveness. Herein, a self-cascade system was developed for the fluorescence detection of L-cysteine based on the ingenious performance of Ag nanoparticle/single-walled carbon nanotube nanocomposites (AgNP/SWCNTs) and DNA-templated Ag nanoclusters (DNA-AgNCs). The fluorescence of DNA-AgNCs could be quenched on account of the adsorption of DNA-AgNCs on AgNP/SWCNTs by π-π stacking. With the cooperation of Fe2+, AgNP/SWCNTs with oxidase and peroxidase-like activities could catalyze the oxidation of L-cysteine to produce cystine and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and then break the O-O bond of H2O2 to generate a hydroxyl radical (·OH), which could cleave the DNA strand into different sequence fragments which subsequently peeled off from the AgNP/SWCNTs, resulting in a "turn-on" fluorescence response. In this paper, AgNP/SWCNTs with multi-enzyme activities was synthesized enabling the reaction to proceed in just one step. The successful preliminary applications for the L-cysteine detection in pharmaceutical, juice beverage, and serum samples indicated that the developed method exhibited great potential in medical diagnosis, food monitoring, and the biochemical field, which also broadened the horizon for follow-up research.

Abstract
The application of one kind of metal-organic framework (MOF) material used in multiple fields is one of the most interesting research topics. In this work, four new tetra-nuclear cluster-based lanthanide metal-organic frameworks (LnMOFs) [Ln2(BTDB)3(DMA)(phen)]n (Ln = Tb TbMOF, Eu EuMOF, Gd GdMOF, Tb1.830Eu0.170 Tb,EuMOF, 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)-4',4″-dicarboxytriphenylamine = H2BTDB, 1,10-phenanthroline = phen) are obtained based on the ligand of H2BTDB that is synthesized in our laboratory, and the precise single-crystal structure of H2BTDB is obtained for the first time. The white phosphor was obtained by facilely hybridizing two components of the orange-yellow emission phosphor of Tb,EuMOF and the blue luminescence material of triphenylamine according to the trichromatic theory. At the same time, TbMOF, EuMOF, Tb,EuMOF, and the white phosphor can be used for information encryption, demonstrating their potential application in the field of anti-counterfeiting. Tb,EuMOF is also a multi-mode and self-calibrating thermometer within a broad temperature range of 110-300 K. Further studies show that EuMOF is a rapid response sensor for Fe2+, with a very low limit of detection of 2.0 nM, which is much lower than the national standards for Fe2+ (GB 5749-2005, 5.357 μM). It can achieve strong anti-interference detection of Fe2+ in actual samples of tap water and lake water. In addition, EuMOF can also be made into an easy-to-use sensing device of test paper for real-time and visual sensing of Fe2+.
