Abstract
In this study, a phenothiazine-based ratiometric fluorescent probe PCHO was developed for highly sensitive and specific detection of hydroxylamine (HA). In the presence of HA, the aldehyde group on the PCHO molecule underwent a specific nucleophilic addition with HA to form an oxime group, accompanied by significant changes in fluorescence from green to blue. This detection mechanism was well supported by 1H NMR titration, HRMS and DFT calculations. The probe PCHO exhibited high sensitivity for HA detection (LOD was 0.19 μM) with a rapid response time (1 min), high selectivity and strong anti-interference performance. Surprisingly, the probe PCHO could selectively distinguish HA from its similar competing agents such as hydrazine and amines. Moreover, paper strips loaded with PCHO were prepared and combined with a smartphone to achieve point-of-care and visual detection of HA. The probe PCHO was further applied for the detection of HA in real water samples, achieving a recovery rate of 98.90% to 104.86% and an RSD of 0.86% to 2.44%, confirming the accuracy and reliability of the method. Additionally, the probe PCHO was used for imaging analysis of HA in living cells, providing a powerful visualization tool for exploring the physiological functions of HA in vivo.

Abstract
Cortisol, a corticosteroid hormone as a primary stress hormone response to internal and external stress, has been regarded as a gold standard reliable biomarker to evaluate human mental stress. The double enzymes strategy, using nanozyme and enzyme amplifying the electrochemical signal, has been widely used to improve the performance of electrochemical biosensors. An ultra-sensitive electrochemical cortisol sensor based on Au single-atom nanozymes had been fabricated through HRP labeled anti-cortisol antibody binding with Au by Au-S bond. Based on the high catalytic activity of Au single-atom nanozymes and the high selectivity of HRP-labeled anti-cortisol antibodies, the cortisol electrochemical sensor-based Au single-atom nanozymes had an excellent response to cortisol, such as high electrochemical activity, high sensitivity, high selectivity, and wide linear range (0.15-300 ng mL-1) and low detection (0.48 pg mL-1) through the four-parameter logistic model with 95% confidence. The electrochemical cortisol sensor was used to determine the cortisol concentration of human saliva at different times.

Abstract
The incorporation of noble metals with metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are conducive to the simultaneous electrochemical detection of analytes owing to multiple accessible reaction sites. Herein, Au@Cu-metal organic framework (Au@Cu-MOF) is successfully synthesized and modified as a screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE), which serves as an excellent electrocatalyst for the oxidation of dopamine (DA) and uric acid (UA). The sensor shows a linear range from 10 μM to 1000 μM, with sensitivity and detection limit of 0.231 μA μM-1 cm-2 and 3.40 μM for DA, and 0.275 μA μM-1 cm-2 and 10.36 μM for UA. Au@Cu-MOF could realize the individual and simultaneous electrochemical sensing of DA and UA, with distinguishable oxidation peak potentials. Moreover, it exhibits reproducibility, repeatability, and stability. Ultimately, the sensor provides an avenue for an ultrasensitive label-free electrochemical detection of DA and UA.

Abstract
A core-shell ZIF-67@ZIF-8-derived Co nanoparticles embedded in N-doped carbon nanotube polyhedra (Co/C-NCNP) hybrid nanostructure was prepared by a pyrolysis method. The synthesized Co/C-NCNP was modified on the screen-printed carbon electrode and used for the portable wireless sensitive determination of breviscapine (BVC) by differential pulse voltammetry. The Co/C-NCNP had a large surface area and excellent catalytic activity with increasing Co sites to combine with BVC for selective determination, which led to the improvement of the sensitivity of the electrochemical sensor. Under optimized conditions, the constructed sensor had linear ranges from 0.15 to 20.0 µmol/L and 20.0 to 100.0 µmol/L with the limit of detection of 0.014 µmol/L (3S0/S). The sensor was successfully applied to BVC tablet sample analysis with satisfactory results. This work provided the potential applications of zeolitic imidazolate framework-derived nanomaterials in the fabrication of electrochemical sensors for the sensitive detection of drug samples.

Abstract
This study introduces an innovative electrochemical sensor designed to detect glutamate using a nonenzymatic approach. The sensor utilizes a porous network metal-organic framework (Ni-MOF)-NiO-Ni-Carbon nanocomposite (PNM-NiO-Ni-Carbon) as an electrode modifier, which was synthesized and assessed for its effectiveness. Cyclic voltammetry measurements demonstrated that the PNM-NiO-Ni-Carbon nanocomposite, synthesized at 450 °C, displayed remarkable electrocatalytic activity for glutamate oxidation. The linear range for detection spanned from 5 to 960 μmol/L, and the sensor achieved a low detection limit of 320 nmol/L (S/N = 3), which was comparable to previously reported data. Moreover, the sensor exhibited high accuracy and favorable recovery rates when tested with real samples, thus, demonstrating its potential for rapid glutamate detection. The real samples were analyzed using both electrochemical and high-performance liquid chromatography methods, and the results obtained from the two methods did not differ significantly, validating the sensor's excellent practical performance. Based on our findings, the PNM-NiO-Ni-Carbon system exhibits potential for a wide range of biomedical applications.

Abstract
The synergistic armor-etching (SAE) approach was proposed using natural organic weak acid (tannic acid, i.e., TA) for the controllable assembly of hollow and interpenetrated HZIF-8@MWCNTs hybrid nanomaterial (ZIF-8, zeolitic imidazolate framework-8; MWCNTs, multi-walled carbon nanotubes), which exhibited highly ordered crystal structure and unique morphological characteristics. The SAE strategy not only can rapidly etch solid ZIF- material into a hollow structure (~ 10 min), but also form the TA shell (~ 33 nm) on its surface. Then, the HZIF-8@MWCNTs electrochemical sensor was constructed for selective and sensitive detection of the target molecule (dopamine, DA). A sequence of studies indicated that the fabricated TA coating was capable of promoting the spread of DA into the reactive centers of hollow MOF and MWCNTs, which exhibited outstanding electroanalytical characteristics through the synergistic effect. The DPV oxidation peak of DA was strongest at 50 mV vs. Ag/AgCl reference electrode. Under the optimal conditions, there are two linear dynamic ranges of current response of 0.01 ~ 10 and 10 ~ 550 µmol L- 1 with a detection limit of 0.003 µmol·L- 1 (S/N = 3). Simultaneously, the HZIF-8@MWCNTs electrochemical sensor could detect low levels of DA in real products. The recoveries of the actual sample tests were between 98.2% and 102%, and the relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) of all studies was less than 3.0%. The statistical analyses (F-test and t-test) were employed to demonstrate the accuracy of method developed. This work will enlighten researchers operating in the domain of MOFs composites, accelerating the advancement of electrochemical sensing on the basis of hollow MOFs materials.

Abstract
Flexible biomimetic sensors have encountered a bottleneck of sensitivity and durability, as the sensors must directly work within complex body fluid with ultra-trace biomarkers. In this work, a wearable electrochemical sensor on a modified silk fibroin substrate is developed using gold nanoparticles hosted into N-doped porous carbonizated silk fibroin (AuNPs@CSF) as active materials. Taking advantage of the inherent biocompatibility and flexibility of CSF, and the high stability and enzyme-like catalytic activity of AuNPs, AuNPs@CSF-based sensor exhibits durable stability and superior sensitivity to monitor H2O2 released from cancer cell (4T1) and glucose in sweat. The detection limits for H2O2 and glucose are low to be 1.88 μM and 23 μM respectively, and the sensor can be applied in succession within 30 days at room temperature. Further, physical cross-linking of polyurethane (PU) with SF well matches with the skin tissue mechanically and provides a flexible, robust and stable electrode-tissue interface. AuNPs@CSF is applied successfully for wearable electrochemical monitoring of glucose in human sweat. The present AuNPs@CSF will possess a potential application in clinical diagnosing of H2O2- or glucose-related diseases in future.

Abstract
Herein, an innovative way of designing a star-shaped gold nanoconfined multiwalled carbon nanotube-engineered sensoring interface (AuNS@MWCNT//GCE) is demonstrated for quantification of methionine (MTH); a proof of concept for lung metastasis. The customization of the AuNS@MWCNT is assisted by surface electrochemistry and thoroughly discussed using state-of-the-art analytical advances. Micrograph analysis proves the protrusion of nanotips on the surface of potentiostatically synthesized AuNPs and validates the hypothesis of Turkevich seed (AuNP)-mediated formation of AuNSs. In addition, a facile synthesis of electropotential-assisted transformation of MWCNTs to luminescent nitrogen-doped graphene quantum dots (Nd-GQDs avg. ∼4.3 nm) is unveiled. The sensor elucidates two dynamic responses as a function of CMTH ranging from 2 to 250 μM and from 250 to 3000 μM with a detection limit (DL) of ∼0.20 μM, and is robust to interferents except for tiny response of a similar -SH group bearing Cys (<9.00%). The high sensitivity (0.44 μA·μM-1·cm-2) and selectivity of the sensor can be attributed to the strong hybridization of the Au nanoparticle with the sp2 C atom of the MWCNTs, which makes them a powerful electron acceptor for Au-SH-MTH interaction as evidenced by density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The validation of the acceptable recovery of MTH in real serum and pharma samples by standard McCarthy-Sullivan assay reveals the holding of great promise to provide valuable information for early diagnosis as well as assessing the therapeutic consequence of lung metastasis.

Abstract
TBHQ is a significant synthetic antioxidant, but excessive use of TBHQ is harmful to human health. Therefore, the preparation of a high-efficiency TBHQ electrochemical sensor is of great significance. In this work, a core-shell structured Co3O4@PPy composite is synthesized for TBHQ determination and exhibits remarkable electrochemical properties. The core-shell structure of Co3O4@PPy composite shows the synergistic effects of fast charge transfer, rich active surface area and more active sites. Under optimal conditions, the linear range of the developed sensor is 0.2-600 μM, and the detection limit is 0.05 μM (S/N = 3). In addition, it also has good stability and reproducibility due to the stable protective role of the PPy shell. The proposed sensor can also be applied to practical sample detection.

Abstract
Organic pollutants (OPs) have garnered a considerable amount of attention in recent times due to their extreme toxicity toward humans and the ecosystem. The need for an inexpensive yet robust, sensitive, selective, and easy-to-operate method for detecting OPs remains a challenge. Herein, a portable electrochemical sensor is proposed based on manganese porphyrin-functionalized carbon cloth (CC). To explain the electrochemical performance of the sensor, cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) were employed. The presence of manganese(III) ion in the center of the porphyrin ligand acted as an agent for the transfer of electrons and enhanced sensitivity toward analyte-specific redox catalysis. Moreover, it allowed for the concurrent detection of multiple analytes in a complex environment. The modified CC electrode can selectively detect nitroaromatic and phenolic compounds with accessible data collected through wireless means onto a smartphone device. The as-synthesized electrode demonstrated a higher sensitivity toward the detection of nitrobenzene (NB) and aqueous phenol with a limit of detection (LOD) found to be 5.9268 × 10-10 M and 4.0178 × 10-10 M, respectively. Additionally, our proposed portable electrochemical sensor demonstrates a high selectivity and reproducibility toward nitroaromatic and phenolic compounds, which can be employed in real complex water samples. With regard to the sensor's remarkable electrochemical performance, it is envisaged that such a sensor could pave the way for environmental point of care (POC) testing.

Abstract
Graphdiyne (GDY) has been considered as an appealing electrode material for electrochemical sensing because of its alkyne-rich structure and high degrees of π-conjugation, which shows great affinity to heavy metal ions and pollutant molecules via d-π and π-π interactions. However, the low surface area and poor conductivity of bulk GDY limit its electrochemical performance. Herein, a two-dimensional ultrathin GDY/graphene (GDY/G) nanostructure was synthesized and used as an electrode material for electrochemical sensing. Graphene plays the role of an epitaxy template for few-layered GDY growth and conductive layers. The formed few-layered GDY with a high surface area possesses abundant affinity sites toward heavy metal ions (Cd2+, Pb2+) and toxic molecules, for example, nitrobenzene and 4-nitrophenol, via d-π and π-π interactions, respectively. Moreover, hemin as a key part of the enzyme catalytic motif was immobilized on GDY/G via π-π interactions. The artificial enzyme mimic hemin/GDY/G-modified electrode exhibited promising ascorbic acid and uric acid detection performance with excellent sensitivity and selectivity, a good linear range, and reproducibility. More importantly, real sample detection and the feasibility of this electrochemical sensor as a wearable biosensor were demonstrated.

Abstract
In this work, we develop an electrochemical sensor using a polypyrrole nanotubes-modified graphite screen-printed electrode (PPy NTs/GSPE) for sensing hydroxylamine. The PPy NTs/GSPE-supported sensor has an appreciable electrocatalytic performance and great stability for hydroxylamine oxidation. Compared to a bare graphite screen-printed electrode, we demonstrate that using the PPy NTs/GSPE leads to a significant reduction in the oxidation potential of hydroxylamine. The standard curve shows a linear relationship ranging from 0.005 to 290.0 μM (R2 = 0.9998), with a high sensitivity (0.1349 μA/μM) and a narrow limit of detection (LOD) of 0.001 μM. In addition, the PPy NTs/GSPE has satisfactory outcomes for hydroxylamine detection in real specimens.

Abstract
Carbon nanofibers (CNFs) supported by Pd and Pd-Sn electro-catalysts were prepared by the chemical reduction method using ethylene glycol as the reducing agent. Their physicochemical characteristics were studied using high resolution-transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and Bruanaer-Emmett-Teller (BET) analysis. FTIR revealed that oxygen, hydroxyl, carboxylic and carbonyl functional groups facilitated the dispersion of Pd and Sn nanoparticles. The doping of Pd with Sn to generate PdSn alloy was also confirmed by XPS data. The amorphous nature of CNFs was confirmed by XRD patterns which exhibited the Pd diffraction peaks. When Sn was added to Pd/CNFs, the diffraction peaks moved to lower angles. HRTEM images revealed that the CNFs with cylindrical shape-like morphology and also Pd-Sn nanoparticles dispersed on carbon support. The catalytic activity and stability towards alcohol electro-oxidation in alkaline medium at room temperature was evaluated using cyclic voltammetry (CV), chronoamperometry (CA) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The obtained Pd-Sn/CNFs electro-catalyst exhibited a better electro-catalytic activity than Pd/CNFs and Pd/C electro-catalysts for both methanol and ethanol oxidation. The improvement of the electrochemical performance was associated with the synergistic effect via the addition of Sn which modified the Pd atom arrangement, thereby promoting oxidation through a dehydrogenation pathway. Furthermore, SnO2 generates abundant OH species which helps with increasing the rate of the oxidative removal of carbon monoxide (CO) intermediates from Pd sites.

Abstract
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are broadly known as porous coordination polymers, synthesized by metal-based nodes and organic linkers. MOFs are used in various fields like catalysis, energy storage, sensors, drug delivery etc., due to their versatile properties (tailorable pore size, high surface area, and exposed active sites). This review presents a detailed discussion of MOFs as an electrochemical sensor and their enhancement in the selectivity and sensitivity of the sensor. These sensors are used for the detection of heavy metal ions like Cd2+, Pb2+, Hg2+, and Cu2+ from groundwater. Various types of organic pollutants are also detected from the water bodies using MOFs. Furthermore, electrochemical sensing of antibiotics, phenolic compounds, and pesticides has been explored. In addition to this, there is also a detailed discussion of metal nano-particles and metal-oxide based composites which can sense various compounds like glucose, amino acids, uric acid etc. The review will be helpful for young researchers, and an inspiration to future research as challenges and future opportunities of MOF-based electrochemical sensors are also reported.

Abstract
Background:
Modified electrodes have advanced from the initial studies aimed at understanding
electron transfer in films to applications in areas such as energy production and analytical
chemistry. This review emphasizes the major classes of modified electrodes with mediators
that are being explored for improving analytical methodology. Chemically modified electrodes
(CMEs) have been widely used to counter the problems of poor sensitivity and selectivity faced in
bare electrodes. We have briefly reviewed the organometallic and organic mediators that have been
extensively employed to engineer adapted electrode surfaces for the detection of different compounds.
Also, the characteristics of the materials that improve the electrocatalytic activity of the
modified surfaces are discussed.
Objective:
Improvement and promotion of pragmatic CMEs have generated a diversity of novel
and probable strong detection prospects for electroanalysis. While the capability of handling the
chemical nature of the electrode/solution interface accurately and creatively increases , it is predictable
that different mediators-based CMEs could be developed with electrocatalytic activity and
completely new applications be advanced.

Abstract
A nanocomposite was formed by combining graphene oxide (GO) with chromium-centered metal-organic framework (Cr-MOF) nanoparticles regulated by the dendrimer polyamidoamine (PAMAM). PAMAM can successfully regulate the synthesis of Cr-MOF; in doing so, the size of Cr-MOF is reduced, its original morphology is maintained, and it has good crystallinity. A simple ultrasonication method was used to make the Cr-MOF/GO hybrid nanocomposite. Various characterization methods confirmed the successful synthesis of PAMAM/Cr-MOF/GO nanocomposites. The PAMAM/Cr-MOF/ERGO modified electrode could be used with cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) to study the electrochemical behaviors of 1-hydroxypyrene (1-OHPyr). The results indicated that the constructed PAMAM/Cr-MOF/ERGO electrochemical sensor had a significantly enhanced electrocatalytic effect on the electrochemical reduction of 1-OHPyr compared with the sensors with no PAMAM and the ERGO sensor, which could be ascribed to the synergetic effect from the high porosity of Cr-MOF and the high conductivity of ERGO, as well as the further electron transport action of the nanocomposite. Under the optimal conditions, the reduction peak current and concentration of 1-OHPyr showed a good linear relationship in the range of 0.1-1.0 and 1.0-6.0 μM, and the detection limit of 1-OHPyr was calculated to be 0.075 μM. Moreover, the PAMAM/Cr-MOF/ERGO electrochemical sensor constructed in this paper can be expected to provide some instructions for the construction of electrochemical sensing platforms and wider potential applications.

Abstract
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have attracted great attention for their applications in chemical sensors mainly due to their high porosity resulting in high density of spatially accessible active sites, which can interact with the aimed analyte. Among various MOFs, frameworks constructed from group 4 metal-based (e.g., zirconium, titanium, hafnium, and cerium) MOFs, have become especially of interest for the sensors requiring the operations in aqueous media owing to their remarkable chemical stability in water. Research efforts have been made to utilize these group 4 metal-based MOFs in chemosensors such as luminescent sensors, colorimetric sensors, electrochemical sensors, and resistive sensors for a range of analytes since 2013. Though several studies in this subfield have been published especially over the past 3–5 years, some challenges and concerns are still there and sometimes they might be overlooked. In this review, we aim to highlight the recent progress in the use of group 4 metal-based MOFs in chemical sensors, and focus on the challenges, potential concerns, and opportunities in future studies regarding the developments of such chemically robust MOFs for sensing applications.

Abstract
New selective and sensitive electrochemical sensors were designed based on the deposition of a promising ion imprinted polymer (IIP) on the surface of glassy carbon electrode (GCE) for the detection and monitoring of Cd(ii) in different real samples. Herein, a highly selective Cd-imprinted polymer was successfully synthesized using a novel heterocyclic compound based on the benzo[f]chromene scaffold that acted as a complexing agent and a functional monomer in the presence of azobisisobutyronitrile (initiator) and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (cross-linker). The characterization of the synthesized chelating agent and IIP was performed using FT-IR, SEM, 1H-NMR, EIMS, and EDX analyses. After that, the voltammetric sensor was manufactured by introducing graphene oxide (GO) on the surface of GCE; then, the IIP was grown by a drop coating technique. The electrochemical characterization of the voltammetric sensor (IIP/GO@GCE) was performed by CV and EIS. For comparison, the potentiometric sensor was also prepared by embedding IIP in plasticized polyvinyl chloride and depositing it as one layer on the GCE surface. Anodic stripping voltammetry was used to construct the calibration graph; the IIP/GO@GCE exhibited a wider detection range (4.2 × 10-12-5.6 × 10-3 mol L-1) and extremely low detection limit (7 × 10-14 mol L-1) for Cd(ii). Meanwhile, the potentiometric sensor showed a linear calibration curve for Cd(ii) over a concentration range from 7.3 × 10-8 mol L-1 to 2.4 × 10-3 mol L-1 with a detection limit of 6.3 × 10-10 mol L-1. Furthermore, both sensors offered outstanding selectivity for Cd(ii) over a wide assortment of other common ions, high reproducibility, and excellent stability.

Abstract
Smarter and minimization of devices are consistently substantial to shape the energy landscape. Significant amounts of endeavours have come forward as promising steps to surmount this formidable challenge. It is undeniable that material scientists were contemplating smarter material beyond purely inorganic or organic materials. To our delight, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), an inorganic-organic hybrid scaffold with unprecedented tunability and smart functionalities, have recently started their journey as an alternative. In this review, we focus on such propitious potential of MOFs that was untapped over a long time. We cover the synthetic strategies and (or) post-synthetic modifications towards the formation of conductive MOFs and their underlying concepts of charge transfer with structural aspects. We addressed theoretical calculations with the experimental outcomes and spectroelectrochemistry, which will trigger vigorous impetus about intrinsic electronic behaviour of the conductive frameworks. Finally, we discussed electrocatalysts and energy storage devices stemming from conductive MOFs to meet energy demand in the near future.

Abstract
Electrochemical sensors are indispensable in clinical diagnosis, biochemical detection and environmental monitoring, thanks to their ability to detect analytes in real‐time with direct electronic readout. However, electrochemical sensors are challenged by sensitivity—the need to detect low concentrations, and selectivity—to detect specific analytes in multicomponent systems. Herein, a porphyrinic metal‐organic framework (PP‐MOF), Mn‐PCN‐222 is deposited on a conductive indium tin oxide (ITO) surface. It affords Mn‐PCN‐222/ITO, a versatile voltammetric sensor able to detect redox‐active analytes such as inorganic ions, organic hazardous substances and pollutants, including nitroaromatics, phenolic and quinone‐hydroquinone toxins, heavy metal ions, biological species, as well as azo dyes. As a working electrode, the high surface area of Mn‐PCN‐222/ITO enables high currents, and therefore leverages highly sensitive analysis. The metalloporphyrin centre facilitates analyte‐specific redox catalysis to simultaneously detect more than one analyte in binary and ternary systems allowing for detection of a wide array of trace pollutants under real‐world conditions, most with high sensitivity.

Abstract
In this manuscript, a layer of 2-methylimidazole zinc salt (ZIF-8) membrane is deposited on the surface of glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with platinum nanoparticles (Pt NPs) by reduction electrochemical method to obtain ZIF-8/Pt NPs/GCE, and then used for the detection of ascorbic acid (AA). The deposition of Pt NPs on the surface of GCE can not only guide the nucleation and growth of ZIF-8 membrane, but also exert a synergistic effect with it to enhance conductivity. For ZIF-8 membrane, it can increase the active area of electrode and thus improve the electrochemical response of the sensor for AA. Influence factors such as the deposition current density, deposition time on the surface morphology of the modified electrode, and the detection performance of the modified electrode during the electrochemical deposition of ZIF-8 membrane were explored to get the best performance. In addition, influence of conditions such as sweep speed and pH of the test solution on the electrochemical response signal of AA were also studied. Under the best conditions, the linear range of AA detection by this sensor is from 10 μmol L-1 to 2500 μmol L-1, and the detection limit is 5.2 μmol L-1 based on S/N = 3. What's more, the modified electrode also has good anti-interference ability, reproducibility and stability, and has achieved satisfactory results in the detection for AA in real samples.

Abstract
Existing electrochemical biosensing platforms, using traditional rigid and unstretchable electrodes, cannot monitor the biological signaling molecules released by cells in a mechanically deformed state in real time. Here, a stretchable and flexible electrochemical sensor was developed based on nickel metal-organic framework composite/Au nanoparticle-coated carbon nanotubes (Ni-MOF composite/AuNPs/CNTs) for sensitive detection of dopamine (DA) released by C6 living cells in real time. A Ni-MOF composite was obtained by introducing Ni, NiO, and a carbon frame onto the surface of two-dimensional (2D) Ni-MOF nanosheets using an efficient one-step calcination method. The hybrid of Ni-MOF composite/AuNPs/CNTs that deposited on the poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) film endowed the sensor with excellent electrochemical performance with a wide linear range of 50 nM to 15 μM and a high sensitivity of 1250 mA/(cm2 M) and also provided the sensor with desirable stability against mechanical deformation. Furthermore, the stretchable electrode also displayed good cellular compatibility while C6 living cells can be cultured and proliferated on it with strong adhesion. Then, the DA released by C6 living cells with chemical induction in both natural and stretched states was monitored using our stretchable and flexible electrochemical sensor in real time. This indicates that our new design of flexible Ni-MOF composite/AuNPs/CNTs/PDMS (NACP) film electrodes provides more opportunities for the detection of chemical signals released from cells and soft living organisms even under mechanically deformed states.

Abstract
The detection of hydroxylamine in an aqueous medium is challenging due to its very similar chemical reactivity to its nearest competitors such as hydrazine hydrate and primary amines. Moreover, the detection of hydroxylamine at neutral pH adds further complexity to the sensing phenomenon due to its poor reactivity in a neutral aqueous medium. In this work, we have presented a diphenyl imidazole benzaldehyde (DIB) probe which demonstrates the detection of hydroxylamine (HA) in micromolar concentrations with high selectivity in 5% DMSO phosphate buffer solution at pH 7.4 via a fluorescence "turn-on" signal. The interaction of hydroxylamine with the probe has been comprehensively studied by using fluorescence spectroscopy, proton NMR, FTIR, ESI-mass spectrometry and DLS measurements. The experimental results were further corroborated with the DFT studies. These results could pave the way toward the development of molecular indicators for hydroxylamine in chemical and biological platforms.

Abstract
In this work, silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were decorated into the cavities of ZIF-8 to fabricate a novel Ag NPs/ZIF-8 modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) for electrochemical sensing of chloride ion. Benefiting from the synergistic properties of ZIF-8 and Ag NPs, the Ag NPs/ZIF-8/GCE showed favorable performance towards chloride ion. For comparison, the electrochemical activity of Ag NPs wrapped by ZIF-8 (Ag NPs@ZIF-8) and Ag NPs coating on ZIF-8 (Ag NPs-on-ZIF-8) were also investigated and it was found that Ag NPs/ZIF-8 possessed the best performance. Some experimental parameters including pH of the supporting electrolyte and scan rate were also investigated. Under optimal conditions, the proposed sensor exhibited excellent stability, reproducibility and selectivity for the determination of chloride ion with a wide linear detection range from 5 to 4000 μmol dm-3 and a low detection limit of 0.61 μmol dm-3 (S/N = 3). The proposed sensor was successfully applied to the determination of chloride ion spiked in human serum. All these results indicated that the developed Ag NPs/ZIF-8/GCE sensor was superior.
