Abstract
Herein, we report the first environmentally friendly systematic fluoroalkoxylation reactions in bicyclic systems. New oxyfluorination products were obtained with excellent yields (up to 98%) via Wagner-Meerwein rearrangement using benzonorbornadiene and the chiral natural compound (+)-camphene as bicyclic alkenes, selectfluor as an electrophilic fluorine source, and water and various alcohols as nucleophile sources. The structure of bicyclic oxy- and alkoxyfluorine compounds was determined by NMR and QTOF-MS analyses.

Abstract
The selective fluorination of C-H bonds at room temperature using heterogeneous visible-light catalysts is both interesting and challenging. Herein, we present the heterogeneous sandwich-type structure uranyl-polyoxotungstate cluster Na17{Na@[(SbW9O33)2(UO2)6(PO3OH)6]}·46H2O (denoted as U6P6) to regulate the selective fluorination of the C-H bond under visible light and room temperature. This is the first report in which uranyl participates in the fluorination reaction in the form of an insoluble substance. U6P6 is capable of the effective selective fluorination of cycloalkanes and the recyclability of the photocatalyst due to the synergistic effect of multiple uranyl (UO2)2+ and the insolubility of organic reagents of polyoxotungstate. In situ electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy captured the generation of cycloalkane radicals during the photoreaction, confirming the mechanism of direct hydrogen atom transfer.

Abstract
The direct construction of 1,3-hydroxyfunctionalized molecules is still a significant challenge, as they can currently be obtained through multiple synthetic steps. Herein, we report a general and efficient 1,3-hydroxyfunctionalization of arylcyclopropanes by electrochemical oxidation with a strategic choice of nucleophiles and H2O. 1,3-Amino alcohols, 1,3-alkynyl alcohols, 1,3-hydroxyesters, and 1,3-halo alcohols are achieved with high levels of chemo- and regio-selectivity, opening a new dimension for 1,3-difunctionalization reaction.

Abstract
Selectfluor-promoted vicinal fluorohydroxylation and hydration reaction of para-quinone methides (p-QMs) were described, affording vicinal fluorohydrins and ketone/ether products in high yields. The hydration products were highly controlled by the electronic properties of substituents in the aromatic ring, and simultaneously, the amount of Selectfluor was completely different during the synthesis of ketone/ether products. This reaction also represents the first fluorohydroxylation of p-QMs, and the wide range of p-QMs makes the vicinal fluorohydroxylation of great significance.

Abstract
The fluorination of alkenes with electrophilic N-F type reagents usually occurs through a Markovnikov-type addition, and the anti-Markovnikov-type addition may require the use of a transition metal catalyst or an expensive catalyst. Herein we describe a convenient anti-Markovnikov iodofluorination of alkenes with Selectfluor/ nBu4NI. A wide substrate scope and good functional group tolerance were observed. The process allows for the construction of various C-F bonds, especially tertiary C-F bonds. The remarkable features make this protocol attractive, including convenient operations, simple reaction conditions, and the installation of an iodine atom which provides possibilities for further transformations.

Abstract
The synthesis of 2,2-dimethyloxepane frameworks based on the 7-endo-trig cyclization of ene-diol using a catalytic amount of metal catalysts (Au, Ag) or Brønsted acid (TfOH) has been developed. Also, the spiro-type dioxabicyclic products were also derived from the diene-diols. For the condition using metal catalysts, the cyclization selectively reacted between the 1,1,3-trisubstituted alkenes and alcohols to form the 2,2-dimethyloxepane frameworks. On the other hand, the TfOH reacted with not only the 1,1,2-trisubstituted alkene, but also the 1-substituted and 1,2-disubstituted alkenes providing the corresponding cyclic ethers, which is quite different from the conditions of the metal catalysts.

Abstract
Anti-Markovnikov selective oxidative amination reaction with simple alkenes is particularly promising but challenging because of the inherent electronic effect of the alkene substrate which is in favor of the Markovnikov product. In a recently reported Pd-catalyzed anti-Markovnikov oxidative amination reaction, the addition of quaternary ammonium salts is shown to be critical. We performed a comprehensive DFT study to elucidate the reaction mechanism and the origin of the regioselectivity, as well as the roles of the ammonium salts. Our results show that without and with the ammonium salts the reaction mechanisms are different. Detailed analyses indicate that the steric effects account for the switch of regioselectivity. The roles of the quaternary ammonium salts have been elucidated: (1) Me4NOAc plays the role of base in deprotonating the phthalimide and allows the reaction to proceed through a trans-aminopalladation mechanism; (2) Me4NCl facilitates the thermodynamically favorable transformation of Pd(OAc)2 to the palladate ([Pd(AcO)2Cl2]2-), which lessens the polarity of the carbon-carbon double bond, minimizes the inherent electronic effects, and leads to a steric-effect-controlled reaction; (3) Me4NCl is essential in decreasing the activation barrier in the rate-determining ligand exchange step by Cl- acting as a better leaving group (compared to AcO-).

Abstract
The catalyst-free direct regioselective α-fluoro-β-hydroxylation and α-fluoro-β-amidation of α,β-unsaturated ketones has been developed. Various α,β-unsaturated ketones react with Selectfluor in water and acetonitrile to give α-fluorohydrins and α-fluoroamides respectively with moderate to good yields. The mechanistic studies revealed the possibility of a radical based pathway.

Abstract
A decarboxylation of alkyl carboxylic acids for alkylfluorination of alkene was developed, with the catalysis of silver(I) and Selectfluor as both the oxidant and fluorine source. This reaction is highly chemoselective, producing the decarboxylative alkylfluorination products rather than the competitive fluorination of aliphatic carboxylic acids. This practical transformation proceeds efficiently in aqueous media at room temperature and exhibits a large range of functional-group tolerance in various primary and secondary aliphatic carboxylates and alkenes.

Abstract
A simple, user-friendly, metal-free protocol for the regioselective anti-Markovnikov hydrofluorination of olefins using readily available and inexpensive reagents has been developed. This new approach displays a broader scope than previously reported methodologies and has been applied to the late-stage fluorination of a complex molecule, giving rise to a fluorosteroid derivative. The stereochemistry of the process has also been studied in some detail.

Abstract
The novel cationic Ag(I)-catalyzed cycloisomerization, which is associated with alkyl rearrangements, from dimethyl 2-allyl-2-prenylmalonate (1) to dimethyl 4-isopropylcyclohex-3-ene-1,1-dicarboxylate (2) has been developed. Derivatization from the diester 2 into the diol 3 and its X-ray crystallographic analysis determined the structure. The mechanisms of the novel reaction were investigated by isotopic experiments, which supported the unusual alkyl shifts. In addition, the product 2 was used for the total syntheses of three natural products, 1,2,5,6-tetrahydrocuminic acid (12), p-menth-3-en-7-ol (13), and p-menth-3-en-7-al (14) in short steps.
