Abstract
This study deals with the synthesis of the regioselective and facile domino one-pot four-component reaction of 2-chloroquinoline-3-carbaldehydes, 1, 3-cyclodione compounds (as cyclic active methylene), ethyl acetoacetate (as β-keto ester), and hydrazine hydrate in the presence of DABCO as a homogeneous organocatalyst yielding a novel series of 4H-pyrano[2, 3-b]quinolones. This multicomponent reaction has some advantages; the significant one is C-O bond formation under metal-free conditions. Other benefits include simple procedure, mild and green condition, high yield, easy purification, and excellent regioselectivity. All polycyclic products (7a-k, 11 new compounds) were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass spectra.

Abstract
Michael/ammonolysis cascade reactions between cyclohexane-1,3-dione-derived enaminones and olefinic azlactones via phase-transfer catalysis have been developed. This method provides rapid access to a suite of architecturally complex and diverse quinoline-2,5-diones bearing a secondary amide group at the C-3 position in moderate to excellent yields (53-94%) and with excellent diastereoselectivities (>99 : 1 dr in most cases). The achievement of a preparative-scale reaction and the diverse product derivatization that can be obtained highlight the application potential of this protocol both in academic and industrial settings. An investigation of the reaction mechanism implies that tetrabutylammonium hydroxide may be the actual catalyst during this cascade reaction.

Abstract
1, 8- Naphthyridine nucleus belongs to significant nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds which has garnered the interest of researchers due to its versatile biological activities. It is known to be used as an antimicrobial, anti-psychotic, anti-depressant, anti-convulsant, anti- Alzheimer's, anti-cancer, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-viral, anti-hypertensive, antimalarial, pesticides, anti-platelets, and CB2 receptor agonist, etc. The present review highlights the framework of biological properties of synthesized 1, 8-naphthyridine derivatives developed by various research groups across the globe.

Abstract
A three-component synthesis of novel 5-phenyl-2-(thiophen-2-yl)-4-(trifluoromethyl)-5Hindeno
[1,2-b] [1,8] naphthyridin-6(11H)-one derivatives (4a-n) was prepared using 6-phenyl/ (thiophen-
2-yl)-4-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-2-amine, 1H-indene-1,3(2H)-dione, and aryl aldehyde using
40% aq. HF with good yield. All the synthesized compounds were screened against Gram-positive and
Gram-negative bacterial strains and different Candida strains by the well diffusion method. Compounds
4c, 4f, and 4g showed promising activity on Bacillus subtilis strain and compounds 4c and 4g
showed promising activity towards Candida albicans strains.

The biological evaluation and the synthetic applications of the target compounds were illustrated.

Abstract
An efficient synthesis of novel functionalized 1,8-naphthyridine and chromeno[2,3-b]quinoline derivatives via cascade reaction of 2-chloroquinoline-3-carbaldehyde and enaminones or cyclic 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds was developed. All of the 1,8-naphthyridine derivatives synthesized were evaluated for their antiproliferative properties in vitro against cancer cells and several compounds were found to have high activities.

Abstract
A variety of 4-hydroxy-3-thiomethylcoumarin derivatives were synthesized via a one-pot three-component reaction catalysed by l-proline at room temperature. One of the derivative was used as fluorescence probe to monitor and distinguish Co2+ and Ni2+.
