Abstract
Herein, we report an efficient and practical approach for synthesizing diaryl(het) ketones from R-CO-CHR-Ar through a simultaneous oxidative cleavage of C-C and C-H bonds using KOtBu. This method enables synthesizing a variety of unsymmetrical and symmetrical (hetero)aryl ketones in excellent yields, which are otherwise difficult to make. Besides, we synthesized natural products using this method.

Abstract
Precise catalytic regulation of carbon radical generation by a highly active oxygen radical to abstract the H atom in a C-H bond is an effective method for the selective activation of C-H synthetic chemistry. Herein, we report a facile catalyst system with commercially available copper(II)/{PMo12} to form a tert-butanol radical intermediate for the selective oxidation of benzylic C-H bonds. The reaction shows a broad range of substrates (benzyl methylene, benzyl alcohols) with good functional group tolerance and chemical selectivity. The corresponding carbonyl compounds were synthesized with good yields under mild conditions. DFT calculations and experimental analysis further demonstrated a reasonable carbon radical mechanism for this type of organic transformation reaction.

Abstract
Herein, we report a highly chemoselective and efficient heterogeneous MnO2 @Fe3 O4 MNP catalyst for the oxidation of benzylic sp3 C-H group of ethers using TBHP as a green oxidant to afford ester derivatives in high yield under batch/continuous flow module. This catalyst was also effective for the benzylic sp3 C-H group of methylene derivatives to furnish the ketone in high yield which can be easily integrated into continuous flow condition for scale up. The catalyst is fully characterized by spectroscopic techniques and it was found that 0.424 % MnO2 @Fe3 O4 catalyzes the reaction; the magnetic nanoparticles of this catalyst could be easily recovered from the reaction mixture. The recovered catalyst was recycled for twelve cycles without any loss of the catalytic activity. The advantages of MnO2 @Fe3 O4 MNP are its catalytic activity, easy preparation, recovery, and recyclability, gram scale synthesis with a TOF of up to 14.93 h-1 and low metal leaching during the reaction.

Abstract
Aerobic allylic and benzylic oxidations catalyzed by dirhodium(II) complexes with N-hydroxyphthalimide (NHPI) are described. The open flask reaction occurs at mild temperature, using air as the oxidant. Mechanistic studies suggest that dirhodium(II) complexes axially coordinate with NHPI to activate the O-H bond in NHPI and decrease the bond-dissociation energy (BDE).

Abstract
Single-atom catalysts (SACs) aim at bridging the gap between homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis. The challenge is the development of materials with ligands enabling coordination of metal atoms in different valence states, and preventing leaching or nanoparticle formation. Graphene functionalized with nitrile groups (cyanographene) is herein employed for the robust coordination of Cu(II) ions, which are partially reduced to Cu(I) due to graphene-induced charge transfer. Inspired by nature's selection of Cu(I) in enzymes for oxygen activation, this 2D mixed-valence SAC performs flawlessly in two O2 -mediated reactions: the oxidative coupling of amines and the oxidation of benzylic CH bonds toward high-value pharmaceutical synthons. High conversions (up to 98%), selectivities (up to 99%), and recyclability are attained with very low metal loadings in the reaction. The synergistic effect of Cu(II) and Cu(I) is the essential part in the reaction mechanism. The developed strategy opens the door to a broad portfolio of other SACs via their coordination to various functional groups of graphene, as demonstrated by successful entrapment of FeIII /FeII single atoms to carboxy-graphene.

Abstract
A cobalt-catalyzed C(sp3)–H oxygenation reaction to furnish aldehyde was herein reported. This transformation demonstrated high chemo-selectivity, and tolerated various methylarenes bearing electron-withdrawing substituents. This reaction provided rapid access to diverse aldehydes form methylarenes. Notably, TFA/TFAA was used for the first time as a mixed solvent in cobalt-catalyzed oxygenation of benzylic methylenes. A Co-catalyzed C(sp3)–H oxygenation reaction to furnish diverse aldehydes from methylarenes in TFA/TFAA is reported. This transformation demonstrated high chemo-selectivity, and tolerated with various methylarenes bearing electron-withdrawing substituents.![]()

Abstract
An expeditious one-step synthesis of the imidazopyridoindole scaffold was achieved through the C-H oxidation/two-fold cyclization reaction of methyl ketone and tryptamine derivatives. Mild oxidizing conditions were employed to realize the efficient oxidation of C(sp3)-H bonds, while suppressing overoxidation of the intermediate and ensuring the cross-trapping of two in situ generated acylimine intermediates.

Abstract
A photooxygenation of benzylic sp(3) C-H reaction has been demonstrated using O2 mediated by visible light. This protocol provides a simple and mild route to obtain ketones from benzylic sp(3) C-H bonds. Various benzylic sp(3) C-H bonds can be transformed into the desired ketone derivatives in moderate to good yields. The (18)O2 labelling experiments demonstrated that the oxygen introduced into ketone originated from dioxygen. A plausible mechanism has been proposed accordingly.

Abstract
The first C-H aminocarbonylation of azobenzenes with isocyanates is achieved by using rhenium-catalysis, which provides an expedient and atom-economical access to varied o-azobenzamides from readily available starting materials. The reaction efficiency can be enhanced by the catalytic use of sodium acetate via accelerated C-H bond activation.

Abstract
The first Re-catalyzed [4 + 1] annulation of azobenzenes with aldehydes was developed to furnish 2H-indazoles via isolable and characterized cyclic Re(I)-complexes. For the first time, the acetate-acceleration effect is showcased in Re-catalyzed C-H activation reactions. Remarkably, mechanistic studies revealed an irreversible aldehyde-insertion step, which is in sharp contrast to those of previous Rh- and Co-systems.
