Abstract
High levels of H2O2 in food can lead to oxidative stress. Which has been linked to a number of neurological diseases. Hence, its detection in beverages is essential. However, a complicated structure of the reaction medium of H2O2 makes the detection procedure very difficult. For this reason, sensitive strategic methods are required. In this study, quantification of H2O2 in milk and apple juice has been obtained via the electrochemical sensing platform based on GCE/SiO-CeONPs. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Cyclic voltammetry(CV), and electron impedance spectroscopy(EIS) were employed to characterize the composite. The kinetics investigation of the sensor with H2O2 revealed an a quasi-reversible one -electron adsorption process. Under optimized conditions, the Differential Pulse Voltammetry (DPV) in 0.1 M Phosphate buffer (PB) pH 5.5 of the H2O2 displayed a peak at 0.13 V vs. Ag/AgCl with the detection limits of 0.0004 µM, linearity range of 0.01–0.08 µM. The observed LOD values of this method for real samples were calculated to be 0.006 µM and 0.007 µM with LOQ of 0.02 µM for milk and apple juice, respectively. The recovery of the analyte was from 92 to 99%. Furthermore, due to good selectivity and stability, the benefit of this sensor is its applicability in multiple fields.

Abstract
Crystal phase structure of bimetallic alloy is an important factor determining the electrocatalytic activity toward oxidation of energy molecules. In this paper, PdCu bimetallic NPs with similar element composition and different crystal phase structural features have been synthesized hydrothermally by adjusting the content of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium salt (EDTA-2Na). Multiphase PdCu NPs composed of pure Pd and alloy phase are obtained with a low concentration (even as low as zero) of EDTA-2Na in synthetic systems while homogeneous PdCu alloy NPs are formed in the presence of EDTA-2Na with a high concentration. The catalytic activity of ethanol electrooxidation is increased from 3.1 mA·cm-2 of pure Pd NPs, to 3.6 mA·cm-2 of multiphase PdCu NPs, and to 5.0 mA·cm-2 of homogeneous PdCu alloy NPs (about 2360 mA mgPd-1). The surface composition and structural stability of homogeneous PdCu NPs were much less damaged during electrochemical measurements. Based on the experimental data, the formation mechanism of multiphase and homogeneous PdCu NPs and their structure-property relationship have been discussed.

Abstract
An efficient approach to producing hexagonally self-assembled and well-dispersed gold (Au) nanoparticles (NPs) in the pores of porous anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) is reported. This approach is particularly useful for tuning the surface plasmon resonance frequency of Au NPs by varying the effective dielectric constant of AAO. A strongly enhanced Raman spectrum of dye molecule rhodamine 6G using these well-dispersed Au NPs revealed that such a self-assembled Au NP array can induce a strong plasmonic field. Furthermore, we demonstrated a new architecture of plasmon excitation in a bulk heterojunction (BHJ) inverted organic solar cell (IOSC) using the Au NP array with AAO. The optical response of an active layer poly(3-hexylthiophene):(6,6)-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester was enhanced by this strong plasmonic field associated a well-dispersed Au NP array. A comparative study of AAO with and without Au NPs confirmed plasmonic improvement of the BHJ IOSC. Simulation results showed that Au NPs concentrate the incoming light into a strongly localized field and enhance light absorption in a wide wavelength range.

Abstract
A molecularly imprinted TiO(2) film was constructed onto the surface of a TiO(2) nanotube (NT) array, getting a novel composite TiO(2) catalyst. Compared with unmodified TiO(2) NT and the non-imprinted film modified TiO(2) NT, the molecularly imprinted film modified TiO(2) NT not only exhibits a much higher adsorption capacity for the target contaminant but also shows an enhanced photocatalytic activity in degrading the target contaminant. Moreover, the molecularly imprinted inorganic semiconductor film is not degraded during photocatalysis, owing to its stable physicochemical properties which is superior to those of conventional molecularly imprinted organic polymer films.

Abstract
A facile, cost-effective, and manufacturable method to produce gold-polymer nanocomposite plasmonic nanorod arrays in high-aspect-ratio nanoporous alumina templates is reported, where the formation of gold nanoparticles and the polymerization of a photosensitive polymer by ultraviolet light are simultaneously performed. Transverse mode coupling within a two-dimensional array of the nanocomposite rods results in a progression of resonant modes in the visible and infrared spectral regions when illuminated at normal incidence, a phenomenon previously observed in nanoarrays of solid gold rods in an alumina template. Finite element full-wave analysis in a three-dimensional computational domain confirms our hypothesis that nanoparticles, arranged in a columnar structure, will show a response similar to that of solid gold rods. These studies demonstrate a new simple method of plasmonic nanoarray fabrication, apparently obviating the need for a cumbersome electrochemical process to grow nanoarrays.

Abstract
Anatase TiO(2), an n-type semiconductor, has gained considerable research interest over several decades due to its photocatalytic activity. Most recently, its properties for photoelectrical conversion in solar cells has been explored. Anodized TiO(2) nanotube (NT) arrays have been developed and possess improved photocatalytic, sensing, photoelectrolystic, and photovoltaic properties. The present work describes using TiO(2) as the building block to form ordered heterojunctions via simple electrodeposition with materials of potential interest, including conducting polymers (polypyrrole, poly(3-hexylthiophene)), inorganic semiconducting materials (CdS), and metals (Ni and Au, etc.). A key finding is that the synthesized TiO(2) NT-nanowires(nanotubes) nanohybrids are highly flexible after being peeled off from mother substrates, which is in contrast to more fragile pure TiO(2) NTs. These highly flexible coaxial nanohybrids are expected to have potent applications.
