Abstract
Evaluation of the relative rates of the cobalt-catalyzed C(sp2 )-C(sp3 ) Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling between the neopentylglycol ester of 4-fluorophenylboronic acid and N-Boc-4-bromopiperidine established that smaller N-alkyl substituents on the phenoxyimine (FI) supporting ligand accelerated the overall rate of the reaction. This trend inspired the design of optimal cobalt catalysts with phenoxyoxazoline (FOx) and phenoxythiazoline (FTz) ligands. An air-stable cobalt(II) precatalyst, (FTz)CoBr(py)3 was synthesized and applied to the cross-coupling of an indole-5-boronic ester nucleophile with a piperidine-4-bromide electrophile that is relevant to the synthesis of reported toll-like receptor (TLR) 7/8 antagonist molecules including afimetoran. Addition of excess KOMe⋅B(Oi Pr)3 improved catalyst lifetime due to attenuation of alkoxide basicity that otherwise resulted in demetallation of the FI chelate. A first-order dependence on the cobalt precatalyst and a saturation regime in nucleophile were observed, supporting turnover-limiting transmetalation and the origin of the observed trends in N-imine substitution.

Abstract
The title compound, [Ni(C14H12BrN2O)2][Ni(C14H13BrN2O)2](ClO4)2·CH3OH consists of two mononuclear ([Ni(HL)2]2+ and [NiL2]) complex mol-ecules linked by strong hydrogen bonding [O⋯O separations of only 2.430 (5) Å], which is the shortest reported to date for such species. In one of the complexes, both the coordinated phen-oxy groups retain their protons and thus this is the cationic equivalent species of the other complex where both coordinated phen-oxy groups are deprotonated. In addition, perchlorate anions are present for charge balance, as well as methanol solvate mol-ecules. For the neutral NiL2 complex, each 2-ethyl-amine-pyridine arm is disordered over two equivalent conformations with occupancies of 0.750 (8):0.250 (8). The perchlorate anion is disordered over two equivalent conformations with occupancies of 0.602 (8):0.398 (8). The perchlorate ions also link to the H atoms on the methanol methyl and hydroxyl groups. These inter-actions link the moieties into a complex three-dimensional array. The crystal studied was refined as a two-component twin.

Abstract
The hexadentate ligands H2L1-L3 with mixed S, N, O donor sites and possessing substituents having either "no" or electron-releasing/withdrawing nature at terminal ends are synthesized. The ligands H2L1-L3 were tested for binding with library of metal ions, wherein maximum efficiency was observed with Ni(2+), and it motivated us to prepare the Ni(2+) complexes. The ligand H2L1 underwent deprotonation and formed binuclear complex when interacted with Ni(2+) as evident from its crystal structure. The H2L2 and H2L3 having electron-withdrawing/electron releasing groups, respectively, were also deprotonated; however, they afforded mononuclear complexes with Ni(2+) ion. This signifies the importance of steric parameters instead of electronic factors in these particular cases. Impressed by differential behavior of complexes of H2L1 and H2L2/H2L3 with Ni(2+) and their photophysical and electrochemical properties, all the metal complexes were studied for their chemosensing ability. Nowadays with increased use of organophosphate, there is alarming increase of these agents in the environment, and thus we require efficient technique to estimate the level of these agents with high sensitivity and selectivity in aqueous medium. The Ni(2+) complexes with hydrophobic nature were suspended into aqueous medium for testing them as sensor for organophosphate. The (L1)2.(Ni(2+))2 could sense phosmet with detection limit of 44 nM, whereas L2.Ni(2+) and L3.Ni(2+) exhibited the detection limits of 62 and 71 nM, respectively, for chlorpyrifos.

Abstract
In the presence of Na(+) ions, the reaction of the ligand 2-hydroxy-1,3-bis-(3-oxo-3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-propionyl)-benzene, H5L4, with M(AcO)2 salts (M = Mn, Co) gathers the conditions for the assembly of coordination complexes (NBu4)3[M2Na2(H2L4)3] (M = Mn(II) 1 and Co(II) 2), which exhibit a new paddle-wheel structure. The features of this new category of compounds are discussed as well as their magnetic properties and solution behaviour.
