Abstract
A d-methionine-bonded nanosized arsenotungstate, Ba9K10H6[{As2W19O67(H2O)}2{AsW9O33}2{W3O6(H2O)(d-Met)}2{W2O4(OH)(d-Met)}]·60H2O [1; d-Met = d-methionine (C5H11NO2S)], is constructed without the use of lanthanide ions. The polyanion of 1 contains two {As2W19O67(H2O)}14- building blocks and two {B-β-AsW9O33}9- subunits, integrated together with a {W2O4(OH)(d-Met)}2+ and two {W3O6(H2O)(d-Met)}5+ subclusters. Interestingly, 1 displays a highly reversible photocoloration property with a half-life (t1/2) time measured as about 0.793 min.

Abstract
In this work, by using two kinds of viologen ligands three POM-based Compounds were obtained under hydrothermal conditions, namely [AgI (bmypd)0.5 (β-Mo8 O26 )0.5 ] (1) (bmypd ⋅ 2Cl=1,1'-[Biphenyl-4,4'-bis(methylene)]bis(4,4'-bipyridyinium)dichloride), [AgI 2 (bypy)4 (HSiW12 O40 )2 ] ⋅ 14H2 O (2) and [AgI (bypy)(γ-Mo8 O26 )0.5 ] (3) (bypy⋅Cl=1-Benzyl-4,4'-bipyridyinium chloride). The structures were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Compounds 1-3 show excellent photochromic ability with fast photoresponse under the irradiation of ultraviolet light with different degrees of color changes. So compounds 1-3 can be used as visible ultraviolet detectors. Compounds 1-3 also possess photoluminescence properties with fast and excellent fluorescence quenching effect. Compounds 1-3 also can be used as inkless and erasable printing materials with suspensions of 1-3 applied to filter paper. Compounds 1-3 can also produce color changes in amine vapor environment, especially in an NH3 atmosphere. Compounds 1-3 can be used as organic amine detectors.

Abstract
A series of aromatic sulfonium Keggin hybrids have been developed which exhibited excellent photochromic properties under UV irradiation. The photo-coloration speed of these hybrids could be fine-tuned by changing the substituents on the sulfonium counter ion moiety.

Abstract
A series of organic–inorganic hybrid rare earth complexes {[RE2(PO)2(H2O)10][H2Mo36O112(OH2)12(PO)4]}·5PO·2(CH3CN)·nH2O [n = 23–42, RE(III) = Nd(III), 1; Sm(III), 2; Eu(III), 3; Gd(III), 4; Dy(III), 5; Er(III), 6; Tm(III), 7; Yb(III), 8; Lu(III), 9; Y(III), 10; PO = piperidin-2-one] have been synthesized and fully characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, powder X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR spectra, thermogravimetric analysis and UV-vis spectra. Structural analysis reveals that compounds 1-10 are isostructural and crystallize in the monoclinic P2(1)/n space group. Each compound contains a centrosymmetric anionic cluster [Mo36O112(OH2)12(PO)4](8-), which could be described as the derivative of [Mo36O112(OH2)16](8-) with four water molecules substituted by organic PO molecules. Each {Mo18} subunit connects with one RE(III) ion via its two terminal O atoms from two independent {MoO6} octahedra. The eight coordinated RE(III) ion with a distorted tetragonal antiprism coordination geometry is also surrounded by another six oxygen atoms, five of them from five water molecules and the final one from one PO molecule. Compounds 1-10 show considerable photosensitive behavior under visible light excitation. In addition, compound 3 exhibits three emission bands at 580, 595 and 617 nm in the solid state, which could be assigned to (5)D0→(7)F0, (5)D0→(7)F1 and (5)D0→(7)F2 transitions of Eu(III) ions, respectively.

According to the inherent nature of organic groups, a series of selenomolybdates with three architectures have been isolated through rational and deliberate synthetic routes by stereospecific addition of different carboxylic acids. Such an approach is potentially interesting for {SeMo6} cluster, which exhibits a high surface nucleophilicity and is capable of being functionalized by covalently bound carboxylic acids. Investigation of the assemblies reveals that carboxylic acids have good flexibility and conformational freedom, representing the powerful chemical tools to control the polyanion assembly processes.
