Abstract
The preference for incorporation of molybdenum over tungsten into specific sites of a family of yttrium-arsenotungstates with amino acid ligands prompted exploration of the incorporation of other metals, affording three new vanadium-containing (V/W and V/Mo/W) analogues: K2(GlyH)10[As4(V2W2)W44Y4O160(Gly)8(H2O)12]·11Gly (1), (MBAH)9(L-NleH)3[As4(V2W2)W44Y4O160(L-Nle)8(H2O)12] (2), and (MBAH)9(L-NleH)3[As4(V2W2)Mo2W42Y4O160(L-Nle)8(H2O)12] (3) (Gly=glycine and L-Nle=l-norleucine, MBAH=4-methylbenzylammonium). These hybrid polyoxometalates all possess a tetrametallic oxo-bridged {VIV2WVI2} central core surrounded by an amino acid-ligated cyclic metal-oxo framework. X-Ray photoelectron, UV-visible reflectance, and electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy, together with metal analysis, confirm the incorporation of vanadium into the polyoxometalates, while single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis supports the location of the vanadium atoms in the central core.

Abstract
As a class of anionic oxoclusters of early transition metals in their highest oxidation states, polyoxometalates (POMs) show considerable structural versatility and unique chemical and physical properties, making them promising multifunctional materials. In this study, a Keggin-type POM has been achieved, with a formula of [(H2O)0.3@K6(H2O)12]H4.45[PV7.45Mo4.55O40]·11H2O (1), and its microcrystals and nanocrystals have been obtained, respectively. This POM was characterized by elemental analysis for C, H and N, ICP-MS, TG, PXRD, SEM, X-band EPR and XPS techniques. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis demonstrated that 1 shows a rare extended structure with a high-connected three-dimensional (3D) all inorganic network of a Keggin-type POM, built from {Mo4.55V7.45PO40}10.45- polyoxoanions and {(H2O)0.3@K6(H2O)12}6+ clusters with CsCl-type crystal structure. In addition, to the best of our knowledge, 1 shows the highest ratio of vanadium to molybdenum among Keggin-type POMs reported thus far. Most interestingly, 1 exhibits intrinsic proton conduction below the freezing point of water, with a proton conductivity of 6.90 × 10-7 S cm-1 at 249 K and further reaching 3.36 × 10-6 S cm-1 at 272 K and Ea = 0.44 eV at 249-272 K.

Abstract
A family of five different three-dimensional polyoxometalate (POM) based supramolecular hybrids were synthesized by a hydrothermal route under different pH using a hydrolyzable naphthalene diimide ligand. The mechanism of crystallographic phase variation of the POM-amino pyridine hybrids under different pH was studied through controlled experiments where the final hydrolyzed products were analyzed through NMR and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Different pH conditions led to variation in the extent of protonation and hydrolyzation of the ligand, yielding different phases. All of these were identified, and the structures of the supramolecular hybrids were characterized extensively. Mechanistic study proved that only the reaction conditions are responsible for the hydrolysis of the ligand and the in situ generated POM species do not have any role in it. Magnetic measurements confirmed the hexavalent oxidation states of the transition metal center (Mo) in the POM. Optical band gap measurements revealed that these hybrids are semiconducting in nature. Two of the compounds were studied for hydrogen peroxide mediated selective oxidation catalysis of small organic molecules and found to exhibit very good activity with high percentage of selectivity for the desired products of industrial importance.

Abstract
A novel organic–inorganic hybrid monocapped/bicapped Keggin structure [CoII(bpy)3]6(H2bpy)[(CoIIbpy)2(PMo8VIMo4VO40)]3 [(CoIIbpy)(PMo8VIMo4VO40)]·16H2O (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine) was synthesized and shown to be an efficient visible light-driven catalyst for water oxidation.
